Quotes:
[first lines]::Adam Norris: Charlie, Charlie, Charlie!::Eric Norris: We don't have time for Charlie, Adam. Mommy's waiting.::Adam Norris: Charlie, Daddy, please!::Eric Norris: Adam, how many times have you seen Charlie? A hundred times? A million times? A gazillion times?::Adam Norris: Charlie, Charlie, Charlie!::Eric Norris: Okay. You wanna see Charlie? [He looks out the window to the driveway, where Miriam begins to honk the horn to fetch them]::Miriam Norris: Come on!::Eric Norris: All right, here: Charlie on Red Bull.::[He begins a theatrical shuffling toward Adam, who laughs in delight]::Eric Norris: [Waving to an imaginary audience] Thank you, everybody! Thank you so much!::Adam Norris: Charlie doesn't talk.::Eric Norris: You're the only four-year-old in the world that knows that! Mommy's waiting. Let's go.
Eric Norris: [Holding a syringe in his lab, speaking to a Rhesus monkey] Come on, Maggie. It may be a jab in the ass to you, but it could be one large step for mankind.
Shilling: I read your report. You can't compare one diseased animal to another. That monkey might have lasted three months longer regardless! Your proof is flawed. Can you even remember the last time you were published in The New England Journal of Medicine?::Eric Norris: No. But I bet you do. Month, day, hour. Position of the Earth, the Moon.::Shilling: Whatever humor you think you're finding at my expense has its own very steep charge. You'll find that out when your keys don't fit here any longer.
[Dr. Proway and Eric are looking at X-ray scans]::Dr. Proway: Well, as far as I can tell, it isn't a virus or a bacterial infection. It's nothing you contracted at the lab. Old tight-ass Shilling won't have to worry about his insurance rates. And it's not a tumor.::Eric Norris: You've told me what it isn't.::Dr. Proway: As of now, some form of as-yet unidentified parasite that is growing inside you at a very rapid rate. It seems to have tapped into the cardiovascular network through thousands of filament-like protrusions that act as conduits. It has also compromised your respiratory system. Like a true parasite in host, it is getting everything it needs to survive from you.::Eric Norris: Right. Oxygen, blood nutrients.::Dr. Proway: Mm-hm. It really is grotesque.::Eric Norris: Yeah.::Dr. Proway: A monstrosity. But evidently, it has a physiology compatible with yours. Do you have any idea how you could have come in contact with this?::Eric Norris: No. And to remove it?::Dr. Proway: Well, that's the bitch, Eric. It has integrated itself so insidiously into your biology that to remove it would cause massive hemorrhaging and instantaneous death.::Eric Norris: [grimly] Prognosis?::Dr. Proway: I've never seen anything like this.::Eric Norris: Prognosis?::Dr. Proway: Well, it'd just be a guess. But I think, either way, it will kill you in a very short period of time.
[Andreas is the friend who found the meteorite and brought it, with its parasite, to Eric]::Andreas Cabrosas: So was it some jellyfish flopping around a hundred miles inland, or was it some creature from another planet?
Shilling: Norris's friend found a foreign organism attached to a piece of the meteor, and he gave it to him. According to what Norris told him, the thing has gotten inside of him and is growing at an accelerated pace. Norris believes that it is some sort of alien parasite that's determined to free itself and, in the process, kill him.::Gerhard: Didn't I see this on X Files?
[Eric, panting and in great pain, has shown Amanda the parasite under his skin]::Eric Norris: I asked you here because I know it's going to kill me. And when it does, it needs to be immediately removed and placed into an environment where it can maintain. I don't trust anyone else to do it.::Amanda Mayfield: No. That can't be our only option.::Eric Norris: It's going to need to have a continuing blood supply with my blood type, and an oxygen source if it hasn't matured enough to function on their own. I don't think it can survive outside the host in any case, but you gotta keep it alive long enough to conduct some experiments.::Amanda Mayfield: You're not making any sense!::Eric Norris: We're talking about extraterrestrial life here.::Amanda Mayfield: Eric!::Eric Norris: This is going to be the scientific discovery of the millennium.
Eric Norris: [speaking to the courtroom] The photos you have been asked to look at, in horror, this strange creature you saw dancing with me, on the tape - this thing with its long appendages and large, flat face, that maybe looks like an octopus to some - is my son, Benjamin Norris.
Amanda Mayfield: Okay, well, tell me. What symptoms have you experienced?::Eric Norris: I don't know. Uh, vomiting. Cramps. Um, cold sweats. Stuff like that.::Amanda Mayfield: Okay. What about the emotional changes? Eric, you just bought yourself a sporty new car. You've got a big hello for everybody. You've been practically euphoric.::Eric Norris: I think we can attribute that to other sources. I believe I've fallen in love with you.::Amanda Mayfield: [after a pause] Damn you. Damn you. Damn you, Eric! How dare you tell me something like that, the same time you're telling me you're going to die? [She lifts her hands to her face] This thing is not just a hole in your tissue, okay? It dilates with tactile stimulation. What if there's another answer, huh? What if there's another answer what this thing is? Something that's not going to kill you.::Eric Norris: What do you mean?::Amanda Mayfield: What if this is not just a parasite? The vomiting, the cold sweats, the cramps - what if this thing somehow hooked itself into your vital organs and then attached itself into your reproductive system? Oh, my God, this is completely nuts, but - I, I, I'd have to run a whole bunch of tests.::Eric Norris: You're saying that it harvested some of my sperm, when we made love? That it, uh, somehow enabled me to impregnate myself? But, if that was true, it would likely have some of my genetic coding, wouldn't it?::Amanda Mayfield: I don't, I just threw something out there. Right now it's nothing more than a postulation.::Eric Norris: [beginning to weep] What if I'm going to give birth to it?
Eric Norris: I had a beautiful son. I can't be the father of a monster!

Taglines: Paul Stevens' high school science project has gotten a little out of hand. He just built an atomic bomb. Now he's got 11 hours to make sure it doesn't work. The switch is set... The clock has started... Time's running out!
Quotes:
Dr. John Matthewson: What do you think you're doing?::Paul Stephens: Well I thought we'd start out with kissing, and then we might move onto the fancy stuff.
Official: Sir, what about evacuation?::Lt. Colonel Conroy: Evacuation? Of who?::Official: The people.::Lt. Colonel Conroy: Oh, you mean New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Canada... those people?
[first lines]::Dr. John Matthewson: Now, the beta synchrotron sends the electrons through this magnet which bends the course of them down to the reaction vessel. Stay away from that elbow joint. All right. Bran, you want to get that? Now, this is a tunable excimer laser. It's tuned to the exact resonance of the plutonium-239 that's in the reaction vessel down at that end. Now, I think we're all set. Hit it.
Dr. John Matthewson: You try to tough it out with them, they'll lock you in a room somewhere and throw away the room.
Jenny Anderman: Why are you doing this?::Moore: Because life, my dear, is more than just freezing toads.
Lt. Colonel Conroy: You mean I'm gonna die because some asshole didn't bring a pair of pliers?
Paul Stephens: I never thought I'd say this to anybody, but I got to go get the atomic bomb out of the car.
[as he starts to take apart a nuclear bomb before it goes off]::Dr. John Matthewson: Anybody want to make a bet?
[last lines]::Dr. John Matthewson: It's okay. I did something.::Elizabeth Stephens: What happened?::Paul Stephens: Everything.::Dr. John Matthewson: Tell you about it later. Let's get out of here.
Jenny Anderman: This isn't funny. Do you know what this is like? It's like when you read about, I don't know, Anne Frank or something and you say to yourself, Jesus why didn't they do something. The whole world is collapsing. They just sat around, life as usual, maybe it'll go away, but it never goes away it only gets worse and nobody thinks about the future. What's the matter?::Paul Stephens: Who's Anne Frank?

http://youtube.com/tanvideo11 - FBI Headquarters located at The J. Edgar Hoover Building is a high-rise office building located at 935 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., in the United States. It is the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Planning for the building began in 1962, and a site formally selected in January 1963. Design work, focusing on avoiding the typical blocky, monolithic structure typical of most federal architecture at the time, began in 1963 and was largely complete by 1964 (although final approval did not occur until 1967). Land clearance and excavation of the foundation began in March 1965; delays in obtaining congressional funding meant that only the three-story substructure was complete by 1970. Work on the superstructure began in May 1971. These delays meant that the cost of the project ballooned to $126.108 million from $60 million. Construction on the building ended in September 1975, and President Gerald Ford dedicated the structure on September 30, 1975.
The building is named for former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. President Richard Nixon directed federal agencies to refer to the structure as the J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building on May 4, 1972, but the order did not have the force of law. The U.S. Congress enacted legislation formally naming the structure on October 14, 1972, and President Nixon signed it on October 21.
The J. Edgar Hoover Building has 2,800,876 square feet (260,209.9 m2) of internal space, numerous amenities, and a special, secure system of elevators and corridors to keep public tours separate from the rest of the building. The building has three floors below-ground, and an underground parking garage. The structure is eight stories high on the Pennsylvania Avenue NW side, and 11 stories high on the E Street NW side. Two wings connect the two main buildings, forming an open-air, trapezoidal courtyard. The exterior is buff-colored precast and cast-in-place concrete with repetitive, square, bronze-tinted windows set deep in concrete frames.
Critical reaction to the J. Edgar Hoover Building ranged from strong praise to strong disapproval when it opened. More recently, it has been widely condemned on aesthetic and urban planning grounds.
As of 2012, the J. Edgar Hoover Building is nearing the end of its useful lifespan. It is suffering from deterioration due to deferred maintenance and mediocre design. The FBI, General Services Administration, and General Accountability Office agree that the building is no longer appropriate for the FBI, but the cost of building a new headquarters has led to inaction for several years.

http://youtube.com/tanvideo11 - FBI Headquarters located at The J.

1. FBI Director Louis Freeh walking into hearing room and sitting down at witness table
2. Cutaway of House Appropriations committee members
3. SOUNDBITE: (English) Louis Freeh, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
"The FBI committed a serious error by not ensuring that every piece of information was properly accounted for, and where appropriate, provided to the prosecutors so they could fulfil their discovery obligations. Because of the massiveness of this investigation and the implications inherent in being found guilty of such a horrendous crime, McVeigh and his attorneys were given access into government records far beyond what is provided for other defendants, far beyond documents that affect guilt or innocence."
4. Cutaways of lawmakers listening to Freeh
5. SOUNDBITE: (English) Louis Freeh, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
"While I do not believe that the newly discovered documents will have any bearing on the convictions or sentences of either McVeigh or Mr. Nichols, I am not here to minimize our mistake or make excuses. It appears that most offices of the FBI either failed to locate the documents and items in question, misinterpreted their instructions and likely produced only those that would be disclosed under normal discovery, or sent the documents only to have them unaccounted for at the other end. Any of these cases is unacceptable."
6. Wide shot of Freeh testifying
7. SOUNDBITE: (English) Louis Freeh, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
"Regardless of how extraneous these documents may be, if they were covered by the discovery agreement, they should have been located and released during discovery. As Director, I'm accountable and responsible for that failure, and I accept that responsibility."
8. Wide-shot of Freeh testifying
STORYLINE:
Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Louis Freeh acknowledged Wednesday that his agency committed a "serious error" in its failure to provide Timothy McVeigh's lawyers with evidence in the Oklahoma City bombing case.
He said the Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters had repeatedly asked, but failed, to get field offices to provide the material.
Speaking publicly for the first time since the disclosure that more than 3-thousand pages of documents were withheld from McVeigh's lawyers at the time of his trial, Freeh said none of the withheld documents would affect the case against Timothy McVeigh or Terry Nichols.
But he added, regardless of how extraneous the FBI believed them to be, they should have been turned over and released.
Freeh made the statement before a House Appropriations subcommittee, six days after the revelation, and a day after testifying behind closed doors on the problem before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Even as he was explaining the problem, Freeh admitted that in addition to the more than 3-thousand pages that were turned over last week, the FBI located a number of additional documents as a result of a search ordered Friday.
Freeh said the documents are being reviewed to see if they should be turned over.
His testimony came on the same day that McVeigh was originally scheduled to have been executed for the Oklahoma bombing.
McVeigh and his lawyers are currently reviewing the documents, and weighing whether they should seek a new trial.

STORYLINE:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States is considering whether to relax its hiring rules regarding the prior use of marijuana and other illegal drugs for some prospective employees.
Some senior FBI managers have been deeply frustrated that they could not hire applicants who acknowledged occasional marijuana use in college, but in some cases already perform top-secret work at other government agencies, such as the CIA or State Department.
The change would ease limits about how often - and how many years ago - applicants for jobs such as intelligence analysts, linguists, computer specialists, accountants and others could have used illegal drugs.
The current FBI rules prevent the organisation from hiring anyone who used marijuana within the last three years or more than 15 times ever; and they ban anyone who used other illegal drugs within the past 10 years or more than five times.
Mark Zaid, a Washington lawyer who has represented people rejected by the FBI over drug usage, says it is time for the bureau to revisit its policy.
According to Zaid, a prospective FBI employee might have smoked marijuana 15 years ago but may have subsequently gone on to achieve the necessary levels of academic achievement and qualifications in the use of firearms.
To disqualify applicants based on the current rules is therefore seen by people like Zaid as a mistake, that is costing the FBI promising new recruits.
"These are the people we want in the FBI and the policy has become somewhat absurd," Zaid told APTN.
Studies show that marijuana remains the most commonly used drug in the US, with about half of teenagers trying the drug before they graduate from high school.
Also, the new plan would continue to ban current drug use.

Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said at the House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Wednesday that the threat posed to the homeland by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) has nothing to do with religion or culture. “Last month’s arrest of Dan Morgan illustrates my long-standing view that we must reject specific ethnic or religious profiles of “would-be terrorists,” Thompson, ranking member on the committee, said. “Violent extremism has no race, ethnicity, religion or culture, and there is no single profile or pathway for individuals who come to embrace violent extremism,” Thompson said.
Thompson was referring to Donald Ray Morgan, 44, an American who was arrested on Aug. 2 by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on a return flight to the United States from Germany. According to a federal affidavit, Morgan, a former Catholic who converted to Islam, was arrested on a federal firearms possession charge, according to an Aug. 11 report by USA Today. In an exclusive interview with NBC published on Sept. 3, Morgan spoke about his religious reasons for trying to travel to Syria to join ISIS. “It was months and months and months of asking Allah to guide me or to give me the answers I needed,” Morgan told NBC in an interview this summer in Beirut.
“My reason for the support of ISIS is because they’ve proven time and time again to put Islamic law as the priority and the establishment of an Islamic state as the goal,” Morgan said. One of the witnesses at the hearing, Matthew Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said religious ideology was a motivating factor for ISIS or ISIL. “ISIL’s goal is to solidify and expand its control of territory and govern by implementing its violent interpretation of sharia law,” Olsen said in his prepared remarks. “The group aspires to overthrow governments in the region, govern all the territory that the early Muslim caliphs controlled, and expand.
“ISIL’s claim to have re-established the caliphate reflects the group’s desire to lead violent extremists around the world,” Owen said. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and FBI Director James Comey also testified.

Two criminal investigations into corruption at football's world governing body Fifa are under way, with seven top officials arrested in Zurich.
The seven are among 14 indicted on corruption charges in a US inquiry, the US Department of Justice said.
The second criminal case was launched by Swiss prosecutors into the bids for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, to be held in Russia and Qatar respectively.
But Fifa says it plans to go ahead with an election for president as planned.
Follow live updates
Key questions answered
Incumbent president Sepp Blatter, who is seeking a fifth term, was not one of the seven officials arrested.
Fifa also said there would be no rerun of the World Cup bidding processes for 2018 and 2022.
Members of the media stand outside the Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich, Switzerland, on 27 May 2015.
The raid took place at a five-star hotel in Zurich early on Wednesday
Prince Ali Bin al-Hussein of Jordan - Mr Blatter's rival for the Fifa presidency - said "we cannot continue with the crisis in Fifa".
"Fifa needs leadership that governs, guides and protects our national associations."
Fifa's Zurich headquarters has also been raided, with electronic data and documents seized. US authorities also searched the headquarters of Concacaf - the Fifa confederation for North and Central America and the Caribbean - in Miami, Florida, as part of their investigations.
'Rampant, systematic, deep-rooted'
The US justice department said 14 individuals were under investigation worldwide for allegedly accepting bribes and kickbacks estimated at more than $150m (£97m) over a 24-year period.
A combination of file pictures shows Fifa officials (LtoR, from upper row) Rafael Esquivel, Nicolas Leoz, Jeffrey Webb, Jack Warner, Eduardo Li, Eugenio Figueredo and Jose Maria Marin, 27 May 2015
The Fifa executives indicted include Rafael Esquivel, Nicolas Leoz, Jeffrey Webb, Jack Warner, Eduardo Li, Eugenio Figueredo and Jose Maria Marin
The seven arrested at a five-star hotel in Zurich on Wednesday were:
Jeffrey Webb - head of Concacaf, and Fifa vice-president
Costa Rica's national football chief Eduardo Li, who was due to join Fifa's executive committee on Friday
Uruguay's Eugenio Figueredo, president of South American football governing body Conmebol
Venezuelan Football Federation president Rafael Esquivel
Brazil's Jose Maria Marin, a member of Fifa's club committee
Fifa development officer Julio Rocha, from Nicaragua
Costas Takkas, of the UK, an attache to the Concacaf president
Also indicted are former Fifa vice-president Jack Warner, Nicolas Leoz, Aaron Davidson, Alejandro Burzaco, Jose Margulies, and Hugo and Mariano Jinkis.
"The indictment alleges corruption that is rampant, systemic, and deep-rooted both abroad and here in the United States," said US Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
"Today's announcement should send a message that enough is enough," Acting US Attorney Kelly Currie said.
Several officials have already pleaded guilty, the US Department of Justice says. These include Charles "Chuck" Blazer, the former head of Concacaf, who was previously on the Fifa executive committee.

Mr Blazer, one of Fifa's most senior US representatives, allegedly started working with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and took part in undercover work, according to US media reports.
Mr Warner reacted to the news by saying he had not been questioned and was innocent of any charges.
He said that since leaving Fifa four years ago "I have recommitted my life to the work of improving the lot of every citizen of every creed and race in this nation (Trinidad and Tobago)... I have fought fearlessly against all forms of injustice and corruption."
He added: "The actions of Fifa no longer concern me."

Football's untouchable 'dark prince' - Imogen Foulkes, BBC News, Switzerland
Many have wondered how Sepp Blatter can have been in charge of Fifa for so long amid so many reports of corruption and yet remain, apparently, untouched.
One Swiss newspaper jokingly called him "the dark prince of football, the godfather, Don Blatterone" - but no inquiry has ever revealed proof of his involvement in corruption.
"He's a survivor," says one member of parliament, Roland Buechel. "Nothing ever sticks to him; there is always someone between him and the bribes."
Some old friends describe Mr Blatter as down-to-earth and open. Others who have worked with him say he is a man who resents opposition, pointing to the swift departure of Fifa colleagues who dared to question him.
What emerges, finally, is a man who both critics and supporters say cannot imagine his life without Fifa, a man whose tenure as president has outlasted three marriages.
But as scandal follows scandal, Mr Blatter's determination not to leave his post willingly could see him bundled unceremoniously out of the back door.

ABOUT BLINDSPOT
A vast international plot explodes when a beautiful Jane Doe is discovered naked in Times Square, completely covered in mysterious, intricate tattoos with no memory of who she is or how she got there. But there's one tattoo that is impossible to miss: the name of FBI agent Kurt Weller, emblazoned across her back. "Jane," Agent Weller and the rest of the FBI quickly realize that each mark on her body is a crime to solve, leading them closer to the truth about her identity and the mysteries to be revealed. From Executive Producer Greg Berlanti.
