Clarification: At 2:06 I have said "1kW x 1,000 = Watts" I am literally typing "1 x 1,000 = 1,000W" I use the kW value as is, neglecting the "k" and do not add the zeros. So if it was 15.8kW I would type "15.8 x 1,000 = 15,800 Watts"

The kilowatt (unit of power) multiplied by hours (unit of time) will you give you a unit of energy which is the Kwh. 1 Kwh is equal to 3.6 Mega Joules. This video explains how to calculate the electric utility bill of running a 60W light bulb and a 3.5kW air conditioner unit continuously for 1 month at a cost of $0.13 per kWh.

What Is A Kilowatt-Hour?
The Kilowatt-hour is a measure of energy consumption; every 1,000 Watts used per hour equals 1 kWh. For reference, the average household consumes 500 to 1,000 kWh per month. The Kilowatt Hour - A Level Physics
This video introduces and explains the kilowatt hour (kilowatt-hour) for A Level Physics.
The kilowatt hour (kWh) is the unit of energy that we use in our homes. Because we use so much energy, measuring our energy consumption in joules is impractical. So instead, we use the kilowatt hour. 1 kilowatt hour is equal to 1kW x 1hour = 1 000 x 60 x 60 = 3 600 000 J.

What is a Kilowatt-hour?
Electricity is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh).
One kilowatt-hour of energy is enough electricity to:
• Cook breakfast for a family of four
• [Or] Vacuum for one hour
• [Or] Watch 10 hours of TV
• [Or] Listen to the radio for 20 hours
On average, a single family home in the United States uses about 911 kWh per month, that’s almost 11 thousand kWh per year.
One hour of using your AC uses approximately 3 kWh.
One hour of using your ceiling fan only uses about 0.075 kWh.
One load of laundry washed in hot water and rinsed in warm water will use approximately 4.5 kWh per load.
One load of laundry washing in cold water and rinsed in cold water only uses about 0.3 kWh per load.

The kilowatt hour (kWh) is the unit of energy that we use in our homes. Because we use so much energy, measuring our energy consumption in joules is impractical. So instead, we use the kilowatt hour. 1 kilowatt hour is equal to 1kW x 1hour = 1 000 x 60 x 60 = 3 600 000 J.

One hour of using your ceiling fan only uses about 0.075 kWh.
One load of laundry washed in hot water and rinsed in warm water will use approximately 4.5 kWh per load.
One load of laundry washing in cold water and rinsed in cold water only uses about 0.3 kWh per load.
