Railways (RAILWAYS 49歳で電車の運転士になった男の物語, Railways 49-sai de Densha no Untenshi ni Natta Otoko no Monogatari?) is a Japanese film released on 29 May 2010. The film was produced by Shūji Abe, directed by Yoshinari Nishikōri, and stars Kiichi Nakai and Reiko Takashima. The movie tells the story of a 49-year-old office worker, who quits his job in Tokyo to become a train driver on the rural Ichibata Electric Railway in Shimane Prefecture.

女優、小泉今日子（４８）と俳優、中井貴一（５２）が１２日、東京・お台場シネマメディアージュで行われたフジテレビ系Ｗ主演ドラマ「続・最後から二番目の恋」（１７日スタート、木曜後１０・０）の完成披露試写会に登場した。２０１２年１月期に放送された連ドラの続編。再び大人の青春を演じる小泉は「前回に甘えず、新しい気持ちでやらないと私の男気が許さない！」とカッコよく宣言した。
キョンキョンと中井の黄金コンビが、"大人の本音"をさく裂させた。古都・鎌倉を舞台に、恋や仕事に揺れる大人たちのゆるい青春をリアルに描いた物語。２０１２年１月期の連ドラ、同１１月のスペシャルドラマに続く待望の続編だ。
この日の完成披露試写会は３０歳以上の大人限定で開催。小泉、中井、坂口憲二（３８）、内田有紀（３８）、飯島直子（４６）のおなじみのキャストが登場すると、観客は「わぁー」という感嘆の声を上げた。
人気アイドルだった小泉は「『キャー』と言われない年代になった私たち、と思ったら、皆さんも『キャー』といえないお年ごろだったんですね」と、お茶目に仲間意識をアピールした。
連ドラ第２弾で小泉と中井はフランスのパリとニースで豪華ロケを敢行。小泉は「この時代に連ドラで海外に行くなんて、いいプロデューサー。力があるのかバカなのか。でも、それがこのドラマの楽しさになっています」と毒舌交じりで絶賛した。
大人になったと実感した瞬間について、「昔は『かわいい』と言われていたのに、途中から『若い』と言われ、もう若くないんだな～と思った」と元アイドルが明かした本音に観客は大笑い。中井も「駄菓子屋でかごに２０個くらいお菓子を入れた時、『オレ、大人になったなー』と思った」と意外な一面で和ませた。
トーク同様、劇中で小泉＆中井がコミカルに本音をぶつけあう大人の恋から目が離せない。

Aalo supports his family by selling chocolates on the train but has a problem with the 30-degree heat. Sixteen-year-old Abdullah ran away from home and a madrasa. Now he sells papers on Dhaka's trains and platforms, hoping for a brighter future. Gautam Bannerjee is a guard on the Maitree and a respected astrologer. Can his calculations foretell the future? Urmi Rahman, a writer, was born in Bangladesh, married an Indian and lives in Kolkata, but she is very clear about her identity. Krishendu Basu is happy with his life. Not only a guard, he is also a tabla player, photographer and self-confessed foodie. But music is his passion.
These stories of people who work, travel or depend on the Maitree Express take us on a journey through history, sharing their hopes, needs and desires - on India's frontier railways.

Freedom came to the sub-continent in August 1947. The British hastily partitioned British India before they left. Independence was attended by a million deaths and 14 million people were displaced.
Yet despite three wars, Pakistan and Indian railways have established a cross-border train, known as the Samjhauta Express - Samjhauta meaning agreement.
Amongst the passengers on the Samjhauta Express from Lahore to Delhi are Bilal and his father Abiz. 17-year-old Bilal was the victim of an accident which damaged his eye. Unable to source the right treatment in Pakistan, father and son trawled the internet and finally found a suitable clinic. But it was in India. They have never stepped outside Pakistan so they are a little nervous. Will they be successful in getting Bilal's eye treated?
Also on the train is Rahat Khan, the hockey queen. She's a Pakistan international and a railway hockey champion. She's travelling with her Pakistan girls' hockey team to play a match in India. But not eveything goes to plan.
For the Sikh community the Punjab is home. The golden temple of Amritsar is the holy of holies. But each year, on Guru Nanak's birthday, the railway runs special trains across the border to the guru's birthplace in Pakistan, despite the security concerns.

Onboard First Superfast Train Of Indian Railways (Deccan Queen) !!!

The description can be read as follows;
1) A very clean AC Chair Car coach of 12123 Mumbai Cst Pune Deccan Queen.
2) Just after leaving Masjid, managed to capture Panvel EMU (Harbour Line) magnificiently climbing the bridge of Sandhurst Road station and at the same time, my train bends a beautiful curve and skips Sandhurst Road station. I also managed to capture more than 100 years old Heritage Hancock Bridge. This bridge will be demolished shortly as its too old and height is too low for changing traction from 1.5KV to 25KV.
3) An uninterrupted capture from Dadar to Thane, 25kms in golden sunlight. The stations that we skip are Dadar, Matunga, Sion, Kurla, Vidyavihar, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Kanjur Marg, Bhandup, Mulund and Thane.
4) We do a constant 100-105kph run from Kopar to Thakurli stations.
Deccan Queen was introduced on 01/06/1930 and it became the first train in India to get a Superfast status. It has gor 2S (Second Sitting), AC Chair Car and MST coaches (Monthy Season Ticket). This train was well known for Dining Car (DC) coach. It was a sight sitting in DC, enjoying the journey with delicious snacks. From past few months, DC coach has been removed and its replaced by PC (Pantry Car) coach.

Il caro amico collega Danilo mi e' venuto a trovare portandomi la composizione dell'Agricoltreno degli anni '90 che ho fatto circolare sul plasticone. Era un treno che stazionava nelle stazioni italiane in quanto veniva allestita al suo interno una mostra a tema agricolo. Questa composizione non esiste più ma almeno rimane il convoglio in H0 grazie a Danilo di Verona.

The Deccan Queen or Deccan Queen Express, (translated Dakkhan chee Raanee in Marathi), is an Indian passenger train that connects Mumbai with Pune. It is one of the most popular trains on this sector and is a daily means of transport for thousands of passengers travelling between the two cities. It is a prestigious train of the Indian Railways.
Deccan Queen was started on 1 June 1930[1] as a weekend train for the British people in India during the days of British India, to ferry race-fans from Bombay (now Mumbai) to Poona (now Pune). The first service of the train was conducted from Calyan (now Kalyan) and Pune. It was converted to a daily service soon after, starting from Bombay Victoria Terminus (renamed Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus CSTM). It is one of the longest running trains on the Indian Railways to have never run on steam power. From the beginning, the Deccan Queen has been run using electric locomotives. Occasionally, it was given diesel locomotives in case of original locomotive failure.
The color of its rake has seen a lot of changes, from red colour to yellow and then to blue.[1]
The Deccan Queen has several firsts or 'among the firsts' to her credit: she was India's first superfast train, she was the first long distance electric hauled passenger train, she was one of India's first vestibuled trains. The Deccan Queen was the first to have a Ladies Only car, and amongst the first to feature a diner. The train has an exciting and chequered history. The Deccan Queen got a brand new rake in 1966, consisting of Indian Railways standard integral anti telescopic cars. For the first time since the history of the train, third class (now second class) passengers were allowed to travel by this train. It had only reserved first class since inception until 1966.
Deccan Queen is the second train in India having ISO 9000 certification and a dining car after the India's first ISO Certified train Shaan - E - Bhopal Express running between Bhopal Habibganj (Bhopal) - Hazrat Nizamuddin (Delhi).[1] It has sixteen coaches including the engine.
The Deccan Queen is also one of the most favourite trains among railfans. Every year on 1 June, its regular pass-holders, railfans and railway authorities celebrate the train's birthday. Deccan Queen entered its 85th year of service on 1 June 2014.[2]
The train number is 12124 (Up) while travelling from Pune to Mumbai, a distance of 192 km, and 12123 (Down) for the return journey from Mumbai to Pune.Train covers this journey within merely 3.15 Hr.where bus would take 4 to 5 hours.

The Deccan Queen is also one of the most favourite trains among railfans. Every year on 1 June, its regular pass-holders, railfans and railway authorities celebrate the train's birthday. Deccan Queen entered its 85th year of service on 1 June 2014.[2]
The train number is 12124 (Up) while travelling from Pune to Mumbai, a distance of 192 km, and 12123 (Down) for the return journey from Mumbai to Pune.Train covers this journey within merely 3.15 Hr.where bus would take 4 to 5 hours.

Filmed during the holy month of Ramadan, this is a journey from India into Bangladesh on a train that reunites the region of Bengal. Partitioned in 1947, Bengal was divided in half, creating East Pakistan - a satellite state ruled by Pakistan. It was an unwelcome occupation. In 1971 they fought a war of independence and East Pakistan became the People's Republic of Bangladesh. 37 years later, the first train ran between India and Bangladesh - the Maitree Express. Maitree means friendship. It takes 12 hours to make the 392km journey from Kolkata to Dhaka, and staffing on the train is almost the same on both sides of the border. They speak the same language, share a history, and they all love fish. Amirul, once a freedom fighter in the war of independence, now plays announcements and religious tapes on the Maitree. Aalo supports his family by selling chocolates on the train but has a problem with the 30-degree heat. Sixteen-year-old Abdullah ran away from home and a madrasa. Now he sells papers on Dhaka's trains and platforms, hoping for a brighter future. Gautam Bannerjee is a guard on the Maitree and a respected astrologer. Can his calculations foretell the future? Urmi Rahman, a writer, was born in Bangladesh, married an Indian and lives in Kolkata, but she is very clear about her identity. Krishendu Basu is happy with his life. Not only a guard, he is also a tabla player, photographer and self-confessed foodie. But music is his passion. These stories of people who work, travel or depend on the Maitree Express take us on a journey through history, sharing their hopes, needs and desires - on India's frontier railways. In 1927 a British civil servant drew a line on a map to define the border between their Indian empire and the kingdom of Nepal. Today, that border line is only marked by a chain of boundary stones and pillars - it's a border that is almost invisible. This is the story of an international railway line. It runs for twenty miles from the little-known town of Janakpur in Nepal and crosses over the border to Jaynagar junction in India. But now the last train in Nepal is under threat of closure. Starved of funds from central government, the train and the track are in a dilapidated state. Derailments are common and the engine often breaks down. Yet it's a lifeline both for the community and the railway workers - their little train is held together with determination, invention and love. Regina is strong, independent Nepali woman, married at 12 and pregnant at 13. Deserted by her husband, she's now a single mother of two teenage boys. She makes a living as a smuggler of small household goods. But it's illegal, so even when the train is running there's always the chance of getting caught. Aarman is a ticket collector in Janakpur station. Married with three small children he's the sole breadwinner for an extended family and he hasn't been paid for three months. Already deeply in debt, he wanted to send his kids to school, but if the line closes he's out of job - and no job means no money. India's Frontier Railways Episode 3 The Samjhauta Express BBC Documentary 2015 Freedom came to the sub-continent in August 1947. The British hastily partitioned British India before they left. Independence was attended by a million deaths and 14 million people were displaced. Yet despite three wars, Pakistan and Indian railways have established a cross-border train, known as the Samjhauta Express - Samjhauta meaning agreement. Amongst the passengers on the Samjhauta Express from Lahore to Delhi are Bilal and his father Abiz. 17-year-old Bilal was the victim of an accident which damaged his eye. Unable to source the right treatment in Pakistan, father and son trawled the internet and finally found a suitable clinic. But it was in India. They have never stepped outside Pakistan so they are a little nervous. Will they be successful in getting Bilal's eye treated? Also on the train is Rahat Khan, the hockey queen. She's a Pakistan international and a railway hockey champion. She's travelling with her Pakistan girls' hockey team to play a match in India. But not eveything goes to plan. For the Sikh community the Punjab is home. The golden temple of Amritsar is the holy of holies. But each year, on Guru Nanak's birthday, the railway runs special trains across the border to the guru's birthplace in Pakistan, despite the security concerns.- published: 28 Mar 2015
