Take a look and tell me what you think of the new Premium Economy class on Singapore Airlines?!?
Premium Economy Class is a great way to fly - especially on SQ. A very comfortable product coupled with the legendary Singapore Airlines attention to detail and service. I'll show you everything you want to see: including the seat and it's various functions, the food (including 'Book the Cook'), the champagne (yes, SQ offers French bubbles to customers in Premium Economy Class) and many other features that make this a very pleasant journey. Perhaps the best feature is the generous legroom and the 2-4-2 configuration - especially if you are in a pair on either side and you know the person next to you. If you are thinking about investing in Premium Economy, particularly on a long haul flight onto Europe or to the USA, then I hope this video may help you decide if you think it is worth the extra $. I should also mention that in addition to everything you see in this video, Premium Economy customers on Singapore Airlines also have access to dedicated priority check-in counters as well as priority baggage handling, both of which are usually reserved for status customers and/or customers in Business/First. Overall, I find SQ's Premium Economy offering to be very impressive - it certainly feels like more of a watered down business class rather than an upgraded economy class or economy plus. Welcome to my first report on Singapore Airlines in Business Class continuing from TG931 posted last week, a very luxurious experience!
Some facts:
- This flight was my first time on board Singapore Airlines
- Second time on an Airbus A380
- First time trying Satays and the Singapore Sling
Before this flight I had read countless reports, watched countless videos on Youtube, needless to say my expectations were high and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.
Seat Confort: My wife and I both loved this seat and it’s far superior to anything else we tried. Coupled with the strengths of the A380 and you get a nearly perfect experience. The bulkhead seats deserve perfect marks, in this case, a solid 9.5/10
Crew : Absolutely stunning in every way, available, charming, smiling, genuine, helpful, there is nothing better than being served by people who love their job.
IFE: -1 for the lack of camera and wifi not being free in business class (EK is now offering it for free to its Y passengers)
Catering : The most disappointing part of this flight but it was actually very good except for cheese/desert. The appetizer, the satays and the main courses and champagne were near perfect.
OTP :We arrived on time
SilverKris Lounge : It’s a solid business class lounge, the lack of natural light takes getting used to but could be a strength when needing to sleep there
Changi : Perfect except for the long passport control on departure. Anyone know if there’s a priority lane for premium passengers?
Narita : An ode to Japan, spotless, well designed, signs where they should be, we never once felt lost

Hi guys, here's a new report of my vacation in Australia and New Zealand. The route is Auckland-Singapore. This route is only operated by the Airbus A380 during summer. As usual on Singapore Airlines, the flight was amazing, the FA were very nice, the plane was super spacious and the food was great! Always a pleasure to travel with them!
I also had the chance to visit Changi for a few hours: swimming pool, shops, restaurants, gardens... what an amazing place!

Hi guys!
I visited Singapore for a few days this october. The outbound flight was on Swiss, and I could use my miles to get upgraded to business class. But that report is coming soon. This one is the return flight to Zurich on Singapore Airlines A380, since I never tried SQ economy I decided to save money (or save my parents money ;)) and I booked SQ economy!
I was expecting a nice experience since it is a 5* Airline, and I wasn't disappointed! SQ Economy is easily comparable to other airlines premium economy, but have a look yourself in my report! I really enjoyed every second in that economy seat! (except the dinner lol).

Perhaps the best feature is the generous legroom and the 2-4-2 configuration - especially if you are in a pair on either side and you know the person next to you. If you are thinking about investing in Premium Economy, particularly on a long haul flight onto Europe or to the USA, then I hope this video may help you decide if you think it is worth the extra $. I should also mention that in addition to everything you see in this video, Premium Economy customers on Singapore Airlines also have access to dedicated priority check-in counters as well as priority baggage handling, both of which are usually reserved for status customers and/or customers in Business/First. Overall, I find SQ's Premium Economy offering to be very impressive - it certainly feels like more of a watered down business class rather than an upgraded economy class or economy plus. Welcome to my first report on Singapore Airlines in Business Class continuing from TG931 posted last week, a very luxurious experience!
Some facts:
- This flight was my first time on board Singapore Airlines
- Second time on an Airbus A380
- First time trying Satays and the Singapore Sling
Before this flight I had read countless reports, watched countless videos on Youtube, needless to say my expectations were high and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.
Seat Confort: My wife and I both loved this seat and it’s far superior to anything else we tried. Coupled with the strengths of the A380 and you get a nearly perfect experience. The bulkhead seats deserve perfect marks, in this case, a solid 9.5/10
Crew : Absolutely stunning in every way, available, charming, smiling, genuine, helpful, there is nothing better than being served by people who love their job.
IFE: -1 for the lack of camera and wifi not being free in business class (EK is now offering it for free to its Y passengers)
Catering : The most disappointing part of this flight but it was actually very good except for cheese/desert. The appetizer, the satays and the main courses and champagne were near perfect.
OTP :We arrived on time
SilverKris Lounge : It’s a solid business class lounge, the lack of natural light takes getting used to but could be a strength when needing to sleep there
Changi : Perfect except for the long passport control on departure. Anyone know if there’s a priority lane for premium passengers?
Narita : An ode to Japan, spotless, well designed, signs where they should be, we never once felt lost

Hi guys, here's a new report of my vacation in Australia and New Zealand. The route is Auckland-Singapore. This route is only operated by the Airbus A380 during summer. As usual on Singapore Airlines, the flight was amazing, the FA were very nice, the plane was super spacious and the food was great! Always a pleasure to travel with them!
I also had the chance to visit Changi for a few hours: swimming pool, shops, restaurants, gardens... what an amazing place!

I visited Singapore for a few days this october. The outbound flight was on Swiss, and I could use my miles to get upgraded to business class. But that report is coming soon. This one is the return flight to Zurich on Singapore Airlines A380, since I never tried SQ economy I decided to save money (or save my parents money ;)) and I booked SQ economy!
I was expecting a nice experience since it is a 5* Airline, and I wasn't disappointed! SQ Economy is easily comparable to other airlines premium economy, but have a look yourself in my report! I really enjoyed every second in that economy seat! (except the dinner lol).

This ranks as one of my best flights ever; the crew was absolutely top notch, the food was superb, even by SQ standards, Book the Cook from Zurich is a must although the onboard options were also excellent.
I travelled in the last row of business class, seat 96A and my travel partner was at 96K. Those are great seats and you can find out why by watching the report.
All in all Singapore Airlines can only be recommended despite the hefty price tag, in my opinion they are far superior to any European or US based airlines and better than many Asian carriers, though some come close. The seat itself is a huge advantage. You feel like you are travelling in first rather than business.

Mini trip report, raw footage. I never bother with window seats on these ultra-longhaul flights. Departed LHR on Sunday 16th March, landed at Changi on Monday 17th March. The flight had some very favourable tailwinds, as we departed London at 11.11 (16 minutes late), but arrived in Singapore at 06.58 (32 minutes early).

For passengers willing to shell out thousands of dollars for a serious upgrade, many airlines are now offering never-before-seen extravagances during flight. For example, Virgin Airlines offers massages on trans-Atlantic flights. Emirates Airlines has a first-class shower. Etihad Airways is about to debut a 125-square-foot, three-room apartment called “the residence,” butler included.
“I think in general the luxury landscape has grown as more people are flying more, people are flying longer distances,” said Pilar Guzmán, editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Traveler. “More people are willing to pay that price for that extra luxury.”
