Richard Cawthorne (born 3 December 1976) is an Australian actor of theatre, film and television.
Richard has appeared in many film and television productions, however he is best known for the role of Ruban Roo Hausman in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, and of his portrayal of Dennis Allen in the Australian TV series Killing Time, for which he won the 2012 AACTA Award for Best Guest or Supporting Actor in a Television Drama. On stage Richard worked with Australian ensemble company Red Stitch Actors Theatre. Productions with Red Stitch include Stephen Adly Guirgis' Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train in 2003, Vincent in Brixton by Nicholas Wright in 2005 and The Pugilist Specialist by Adriano Shaplin, 2005.
Born in Hong Kong in 1976, Richard is of Jewish descent and is the son of a journalist - Zelda Cawthorne (née Pakula).
