Lead: One of the Most Dangerous Chemical Elements (full documentary) - DOCFILMS
Lead is a chemical element in the carbon team with symbol Pb as well as atomic number 82. Lead is a soft, flexible and also heavy post-transition metal. Metallic lead has a bluish-white shade after being fresh reduced, yet it quickly tarnishes to a dull grayish color when subjected to air. Lead has a glossy chrome-silver appeal when it is merged a fluid. It is also the heaviest non-radioactive element (some radioactive elements, like technetium, are lighter).
Lead is used in building construction, lead-acid batteries, bullets and also shot, weights, as part of solders, pewters, fusible alloys, and as a radiation cover. Lead has the highest atomic number of all of the stable elements, although the next higher element, bismuth, has one isotope with a half-life that is so long (over one billion times the estimated age of the universe) that it can be considered stable. Lead's four stable isotopes have 82 protons, a magic number in the nuclear shell design of atomic nuclei. The isotope lead-208 also has 126 neutrons, one more magic number, and is thus dual magic, a real property that gives it boosted security: lead-208 is the heaviest well-known stable isotope.

This is a classic chemical reaction. It's called the iodine clock reaction. There are several variations of how this chemical reaction can be performed using different chemicals than the ones I used in the video. You can order clock reaction kits from several science related websites. You can also use simple store bought chemicals like vitamin C, iodine, hydrogen peroxide and starch. A quick internet search will turn up multiple ways of performing the experiment.
Even though I've played around with the clock reaction experiment before I've always wanted to capture the reaction as the liquid was being poured. To me, this is the most stunning way of demonstrating the reaction.
Here's the other version of the clock reaction I made several years ago

A "chemical element" is a chemical substance consisting of atoms having the same number of protons in their atomic nuclei . There are 118 elements that have been identified, of which the first 98 occur naturally on Earth with the remaining 20 being Synthetic elements. There are 80 elements that have at least one stable isotope and 38 that have exclusively radioactive isotopes, which decay over time into other elements. Iron is the most abundant element making up the Earth, while oxygen is the most common element in the crust of the earth.
Chemical elements constitute approximately 15% of the matter in the universe: the remainder is dark matter, the composition of it is unknown, but it is not composed of chemical elements.
The two lightest elements, hydrogen and helium were mostly formed in the Big Bang and are the most common elements in the universe. The next three elements were formed mostly by cosmic ray spallation, and are thus more rare than those that follow. Formation of elements with from six to twenty six protons occurred and continues to occur in main sequence stars via stellar nucleosynthesis. The high abundance of oxygen, silicon, and iron on Earth reflects their common production in such stars. Elements with greater than twenty six protons are formed by supernova nucleosynthesis in supernovae, which, when they explode, blast these elements far into space as planetary nebulae, where they may become incorporated into planets when they are formed.
When different elements are chemically combined, with the atoms held together by chemical bonds, they form chemical compounds. Only a minority of elements are found uncombined as relatively pure minerals. Among the more common of such "native elements" are copper, silver, gold, carbon , and sulfur. All but a few of the most inert elements, such as noble gases and noble metals, are usually found on Earth in chemically combined form, as chemical compounds. While about 32 of the chemical elements occur on Earth in native uncombined forms, most of these occur as mixtures. For example, atmospheric air is primarily a mixture of nitrogen, oxygen, and argon, and native solid elements occur in alloys, such as that of iron and nickel.
