(Note: If you're not interested in connecting watching pieces connect like a puzzle in several segments this video may not be for you) (Viewable in up to Sony 4k (2160) video) This is video #8 of nearly a dozen clips ranging from 17 seconds to 6 minutes each in length. Here you will take note what what I saw as this impressive severe storm and wall cloud were in the well defined stages moving into the reorganization stages of development as it was passing my location. Please understand there will be some shaking in the video as I was on the move constantly and trying to use a tripod during these events can be difficult and next to impossible. On the afternoon and evening of June 20th, 2015 a storm system out head of the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill along with high temperatures and humidity set off what would become a very wet & stormy afternoon. Strong to severe storms began to fire up northwest and southwest of the Fredericksburg, Va area earlier in the day. At approx 6:30pm I noted a 3 severe storms running on a Northeast track parallel with each other. These 3 storm cells at the time stretched from the Goochland, Va area Northwest to Charlottesville, Va and all had their own separate Severe thunderstorm warning. During that time it was noted that the storms feeding off this heat and humidity were brewing up into monster storms in mere minutes. Also noted was the strong amount of unstable and diverging air which quickly started to show low to moderate levels of rotation. After warning my friends and family of what might be coming our way I grabbed my gear which I always have packed and ready to go and headed out to setup at a very lightly traveled location here in Fredericksburg call Celebrate Virginia South. The exact location was back and fourth between the western edge of Carl D Silver Pkwy and then along Gordon W. Shelton Blvd. At approx 7:15pm the early stages of these storms approached you could almost get a real sense for the amount of moisture and air these storms were pulling into themselves. It should be noted that as you headed west each of these thunderstorms was advancing Northeastward slightly ahead of the other and thus feeding each other as one semi-connected line. It should also be noted that each one of these 3 cells received a tornado warning within minutes of each other. At approx 7:30pm after I had moved over by the Fredericksburg Expo center for a different glimpse of the storms passing through I noted what appeared to look like a giant space transport in the distance but in reality it was the main supercell and it had this curved angle wall cloud like I've only ever seen on storms in the central plains before this. I quickly rushed back to my spot along Gordon W. Shelton Blvd and set up. I had to remain mobile as some views were blocked by large apartments under construction and then later by trees that stood on the hills above the rappahannock river. The wall cloud and rotation within the storm was simply amazing and I knew it might not be long before a funnel or spin up would occur. I have these series of videos split in segments ranging from 17 seconds to 6 minutes showing different spots and the progress, short reorganization and eventually a funnel cloud which may have touched down briefly before moving out of view. It should be noted there are impressive photos from Stafford County just to the north of where I was photographing showing the same wall cloud as it spun in an impressive ball as it moved northeast towards the potomac river and out into Maryland.
