The P12 pipeline from the Troll gas field to Kollsnes is the third gas import pipeline from Troll to Kollsnes. A 36" spool has been installed between the P12 pipeline termination and the subsea 'swan neck' riser outside Kollsnes. The spool was installed in 2011, in one piece and the total length was 155m. The P12 spool was transported to the field by using a barge and installed on the seabed by using the main crane on the DSV Skandi Arctic. The spool was connected to the P12 pipeline and the riser by a welded tie-in using the Pipeline Repair System to perform the hyperbaric welding. The subsea installation and operation of the PRS welding spread was performed by saturation divers from the DSV Skandi Arctic, managed by Technip Norway.
