This video is an informative animated presentation that explains in detail about skin biopsy. Your doctor may obtain a skin biopsy to view the tissue under a microscope and make a diagnosis of your condition. The skin is the largest organ in of the body. Shave biopsies are usually performed on surface lesions. During this procedure, your doctor will use a sharp scalpel or razor blade to thinly slice or shave the top layer of the skin lesion. This type of biopsy does not require stitches. Doctors usually perform punch biopsies for deeper skin lesions. Your doctor will rotate a circular hollow blade around the lesion until it completely through the epidermis and dermis. He or she will remove a small cylinder of skin usually smaller than the size of a pencil eraser, containing all layers of skin and lesion. Terminology of skin lesions according to morphology of lesion as shown in the table
Lets go in to a bit detail
Divided in to 4 groups
1.flat skin lesion less than .5 c.m called macule greater than that called patch
Flat skin if indurated called plaque
2nd category elevated lesions subdivided to a. solid , b. fluid filled, c. pus filled
In solid small lesions are called papule n large are called nodule,
fluid filled small lesions called vesicle n large r called bulla while in pus filled category small n large both lesions are called pustule
3rd category indurated lesions in which all are called plaque
In 4th category lesiuon due to extravasation of blood small lesions are called petechiae and large are called echymosis
Macules are circumscribed , flat n change in color of skin is found may be hyperpigmented or hypo pigmented
Papule are small solid elevated lesion due to hyperplasia n big sized papule called nodule
Vesicle is fluid filled circumscribed elevated lesion lesion arise due to split of skin , big sized vesicle called bullae vesicle may be of 3 types
1.subcorneal
2.intraepidermal
3.dermoepidermal
Plaque are basically altered in its consistency of skin may be elevated or depressed
They may be discoid (uniformly thickened ) or annular (ring shaped)
Pustule are pus filled follicular while abscess is deep seated

Morgellons pictures of ulcer-like skin lesions rashes and sores
Includes graphic time lapse images of a ‘creature’ or critter about half an inch long emerging or ‘hatching’ from an ankle lesion before detaching and dropping onto the table, this process occurred on 19 Jan 2013 and took about 35 minutes from start to finish. Could not get anyone in infectious diseases, dermatology or the medical profession interested in looking at the images or the ‘hatchling’ at the time, so I simply gave up, put it in a jar on the bookshelf and forgot about it. Was just happy to see it out and gone and hopefully put an end to the never-ending cycle of debilitating sores and extremely painful burning ‘red dots’. Includes graphic time lapse images of a ‘creature’ or critter about half an inch long emerging or ‘hatching’ from an ankle lesion before detaching and dropping onto the table, this process occurred on 19 Jan 2013 and took about 35 minutes from start to finish.
Could not get anyone in infectious diseases, dermatology or the medical profession interested in looking at the images or the ‘hatchling’ at the time, so I simply gave up, put it in a jar on the bookshelf and forgot about it.
Was just happy to see it out and gone and hopefully put an end to the never-ending cycle of debilitating sores and extremely painful burning ‘red dots’.
An ‘attack’ of ‘red dots’ is usually preceded by a sensation of ‘something there’ like some sort of creature crawling and moving about here and there inside your body and sometimes just under the surface of the skin, you want to scratch it, not because it is itchy but because it’s there.
Then come the rashes and sores: This is of course where the fun always starts with the doctors – can you blame them?
Was surprised to realise the extent of pain and suffering, anguish and confusion caused by this ‘condition’ all over the world.

ABSTRACT Melanoma spreads through metastasis, and therefore, it has been proved to be very fatal.
Statistical evidence has revealed that the majority of deaths resulting from skin cancer are as a result of
melanoma. Further investigations have shown that the survival rates in patients depend on the stage of the
cancer; early detection and intervention of melanoma implicate higher chances of cure. Clinical diagnosis
and prognosis of melanoma are challenging, since the processes are prone to misdiagnosis and inaccuracies
due to doctors' subjectivity. Malignant melanomas are asymmetrical, have irregular borders, notched edges,
and color variations, so analyzing the shape, color, and texture of the skin lesion is important for the early
detection and prevention of melanoma. This paper proposes the two major components of a noninvasive
real-time automated skin lesion analysis system for the early detection and prevention of melanoma. The rst
component is a real-time alert to help users prevent skinburn caused by sunlight; a novel equation to compute
the time for skin to burn is thereby introduced. The second component is an automated image analysis module,
which contains image acquisition, hair detection and exclusion, lesion segmentation, feature extraction, and
classication. The proposed system uses PH2 Dermoscopy image database from Pedro Hispano Hospital for
the development and testing purposes. The image database contains a total of 200 dermoscopy images of
lesions, including benign, atypical, and melanoma cases. The experimental results show that the proposed
system is efcient, achieving classication of the benign, atypical, and melanoma images with accuracy
of 96.3%, 95.7%, and 97.5%, respectively.

When you're in grade school, about the only disease you think you could possibly catch is a case of the "cooties" from the opposite sex. But in my case, it was real.
"I had Eczema..."In the beginning, it cropped up in common places like my elbows and wrists. I could hide behind long sleeves in the winter - but it wasn't long before summer rolled around and shorts, t-shirts and sandals.And that's when you'd hear the whispers. The gossip. The questionable looks from teachers and other parents who wondered if you were getting abused at home for all the red, irritable patches on your skin that looked like someone punched you straight in the face.Names like "Leper", "Creep" and "Scaly" still ring in the back of my mind like it was yesterday. That's why, when I started noticing Samuel scratching his back against a door frame, I lifted up his shirt and noticed all the sure-fire signs of eczema:
Blotchy red skin
Scaly patches with oozing
Incredible itching that keeps coming back
Skin that would heal and then break out again
As a skin care specialist with a medical background, I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something, so I took my son to a dermatologist. It was just as I expected. He sent us home with a bunch of creams and ointments to try.
