Katheryn Elizabeth "Katy" Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations. After being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, Perry signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

Perry rose to fame in 2008 with the release of the singles "I Kissed a Girl" – which sparked controversy for its homosexual themes – and "Hot n Cold" from her second album, a pop rock record titled One of the Boys. Her third album, Teenage Dream (2010), ventured into disco, and contained the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T.", and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" as well as the number-three single "The One That Got Away". In March 2012, she reissued the album as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which produced the songs "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake".

"I Kissed a Girl" is a song recorded by American singer Katy Perry for her second studio album, One of the Boys (2008). It was released on April 28, 2008, by Capitol Records as the lead single from the record. Perry co-wrote the song with its producers Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco, with additional songwriting provided by Max Martin and Cathy Dennis. "I Kissed a Girl" is a bubblegum pop song with elements of new wave, with lyrics that are described by Perry as being "about the magical beauty of a woman".

Upon its release, "I Kissed a Girl" received generally mixed reviews from music critics, who praised its sound and structure but highly criticized its lyrical content. The song drew controversy for its irreverent lyrics and was notably criticized by numerous critics and singers. The song experienced commercial success domestically as well as internationally. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven consecutive weeks, becoming the 1,000th number-one song of the rock era. The single has sold over 4,600,000 digital copies in the US alone. Sarah Michelle Gellar

Sarah Michelle Prinze (née Gellar; born April 14, 1977) is an American actress, producer and entrepreneur. After being spotted by an agent at the age of four in New York City, she made her acting debut in the made-for-TV movie An Invasion of Privacy (1983). Gellar went on to appear in episodes of Spenser: For Hire and Crossbow and have small roles in films such as Funny Farm (1988) and High Stakes (1989). Her first leading part was in the 1992 miniseries Swans Crossing, for which she was nominated for two Young Artist Awards. Gellar's television breakthrough came in 1993, when she originated the role of Kendall Hart on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children, winning the 1995 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.

Gellar received worldwide recognition for her portrayal of Buffy Summers on the WB TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), which earned her six Teen Choice Awards, the Saturn Award for Best Genre Television Actress and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. The character was widely popular during the airing of the show and became recognized as one of the 100 greatest female characters in U.S. television. Gellar also gained recognition for horror films like I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 2. She eventually played Kathryn Merteuil in Cruel Intentions (1999) and appeared as Daphne Blake in Scooby-Doo (2002), her biggest live-action commercial success.

Whitney Avalon

Whitney Avalon (née Whitney Sara Cohen) is an American actress, writer, producer, singer, and rapper best known for her Princess Rap Battle videos on YouTube, where her channel has over 199 million views. She uploaded her first YouTube video in September 2010, a parody of the CeeLo Green song "Fuck You".

She posted the first Princess Rap Battle "Snow White vs. Elsa" in September 2014. Since then, she has posted more rap battles on the channel, including "Galadriel vs. Leia," "Mrs. Claus vs. Mary Poppins," and "Cinderella vs. Belle" starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is a fan of the series. In June 2015, Avalon released "Maleficent vs. Daenerys" starring Yvonne Strahovski. In November 2015, Avalon released "Katniss vs. Hermione" starring Molly C. Quinn.

Variety listed her in their 2015 Comedy Impact Report, stating her work has "amassed over half a billion views" worldwide in a year. She was also named one of Cosmopolitan's "Internet's Most Fascinating" people in 2015.

She is a working actress, including in television, theater, and commercials. She graduated from Brandeis University in 2003 with a degree in theater. She has appeared in TV series such as Outlaw, The Big Bang Theory, Days of Our Lives, Monday Mornings, Girl Meets World, Love That Girl!, and Jane the Virgin.

Adventure Club

Adventure Club is a Canadian electronic dance music duo composed of Christian Srigley and Leighton James, based out of Montreal, Quebec.

History

The duo formed while attending high school in Montreal as a hardcore pop-punk band, but later decided to move onto the more electronic sound of electronic dance music (EDM) after simply getting bored with the pop-punk sound.

The first song to put the duo on the map was their remix of the song "Daisy" from the studio album Daisy (2009) by the American alternative-rock band Brand New, which was put on The Hype Machine, an MP3 blog aggregator website.

Some of the major influences to their sound include Tiësto, Flux Pavilion, Greeley Estates, Bring Me the Horizon and Skrillex. The duo's signature sound includes high-pitched female vocals with electronic sounds and heavy drops. Through online social network sites, the duo were able to reach new levels of exposure by getting their first music video on the UKF Dubstep's YouTube channel. As of November 2012, the music video to the remix of "Everything to Me" by LIPS has over 2 million views and was produced and directed by Cedric Sequerra of LuckyFish Productions. All of the props, including weapons, helmets & monsters were made by hand by the cast and crew.
