Wind picked up really early and once I was at the site, it was blowing with gusts of 16 knots. The 1.7 Firmware did really good job. Fisheye removed. About the port:
This was one of the two ports of the inland city-state of Corinth. The excavations revealed that there was a permanent settlement and a fortified naval station.
Kenchreai flourished during the Roman Empire hen the settlement was focused around the crescent-shaped harbor enclosed by massive concrete breakwaters and protected by sea-walls. The local community was small but prosperous, and it was distinguished by its social, cultural, and religious diversity. Ancient literature and inscriptions from the site attest to the presence of cults of Aphrodite, Isis, Asklepios, Poseidon, Dionysos, and Pan. Christianity also arrived at Kenchreai early in the religion's history. According to Acts 18:18, the Apostle Paul stopped at Kenchreai during his second missionary journey, where he had his hair cut to fulfill a vow. He mentions the place and a deacon named Phoebe in the local assembly in his epistle to the Romans (Romans 16:1). A later ecclesiastical tradition recorded the existence of a bishop at Kenchreai, but the veracity of these accounts is hard to establish. The ancient harbor was partly excavated in 1962-1969 by a team sponsored by the American School of Classical Studies under the general direction of Professor Robert Scranton.

With around three hundred and twenty thousand inhabitants Catania is the second largest city in Sicily. Its historical significance is clearly visible throughout the city’s magnificent old district that is dominated by Baroque architecture. The city has few monuments that pre date the Baroque Period but it was not wars or battles that were responsible for this but a volcano that towers high above the island and that is located thirty kilometres from Catania: Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano has destroyed this city more than once. On the Ionic Sea in the south east of Sicily is Syracusa that in ancient times was a legendary city state. Greek settlers from Corinth founded the city in 734 B.C. and it soon enjoyed much fame and prosperity. South of Agrigento is the ancient sanctuary of the Valle Dei Templi, the legendary Valley Of Temples. An enchanting area that is more of a plateau than a valley is a truly unique and magical place. Selinunte is one of the largest archaeological sites in Europe. The Selinunte Acropolis, formerly known as Megara Hyblae, was an important building complex and was built in the seventh century B.C. In the immediate surroundings of the Acropolis a small urban centre developed that in later years had a population that numbered tens of thousands.Beneath Monreale Mountain and located on the coast, is Palermo, the capital of Sicily. The city dates back to the eighth century B.C. However, nothing remains of the time when the Phoenicians founded the ancient town of Panormus, Palermo’s predecessor. The former summer residence of the Emir Of Palermo served as the palace of Norman king, Roger The Second. Up until the thirteenth century this luxurious Norman palace was a symbol of the wealth and power of the Normans. With its many fascinating ancient monuments, the remains of the CARTHAGINIANS, GREEKS and ROMANS, and with the glorious heritage of the Middle Ages and the charming influences of both the ARABS and the NORMANS, SICILY is justifiably known as, ‘A Treasure Trove Of History’.

Greece is the cradle of the European civilization, a quarry of mythology and ancient relics. On the Chalkidiki Peninsula we can visit the city of Thessalonica, the beaches of Katerini and Paralia, and from the boat we can take a look at the mystical monastery republic, Athos. Near the legendary Olympus Mountain we can take a look at the ‘rocks of gods’, the Meteora monasteries built on the sky-high cliffs. Athens’s well known building is the Acropolis, which is garlanded by the golden pillars of the Parthenon. The Agora was the marketplace of the ancient Athens, while the Plaka is a current, full of life eastern bazaar. From the capital the visitors can take journeys to the canal of Corinth and to the beaches of the Attican Riviera. From the dock of Pireus it is easy to take a boat and visit the islands of the Aegean and Ionic Sea. The islands tell us of Romans, Byzantines, pirates and knights. Among the olive tree gardens and orange trees white houses, temples and sunlit ruins are hiding. The sea is blue in the bays surrounded by beaches and on the terrace of a tavern the flavors of the Greek cuisine are always welcome.

Tetrapylon-The ancient city of Aphrodisias
One of the most attractive features of Aphrodisias is the ornamental gate constructed in the middle of the 2nd century. The name Tetrapylon refers to its being composed of four groups of four columns. The entrance lies to the east. The front row of Corinthian columns with spiral fluting look out on to a street with north-south alignment. The second and third columns of this fourfold structure are surmounted by a semicircular lintel with relief figures of Nike and Erotes amid acanthus leaves. The process of repairing and re-erecting the Tetrapylon columns was completed in 1990.

Corinth (/ˈkɔrɪnθ/; Greek: Κόρινθος Kórinthos), was a city-state (polis) on the Isthmus of Corinth, the narrow stretch of land that joins the Peloponnesus to the mainland of Greece, roughly halfway between Athens and Sparta. The modern town of Corinth is located approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northeast of the ancient ruins. Since 1896, systematic archaeological investigations of the Corinth Excavations by the American School of Classical Studies at Athens have revealed large parts of the ancient city, and recent excavations conducted by the Greek Ministry of Culture have brought important new facets of antiquity to light.
For Christians, Corinth is known from the two books First Corinthians and Second Corinthians in the New Testament. The 2nd book of Pausanias' Description of Greece is devoted to Corinth.
Ancient Corinth was one of the largest and most important cities of Greece, with a population of 90,000 in 400 BC. After the Romans built a new city in its place and made it the provincial capital of Greece in 44 BC, the city's population was between 50,000 to 700,000 according to different sources

There were Pyramids of Greece which were used to accumulate WATER from CONDENSATIONS from the STONES of the Pyramids at a rate of over 14,000 gallons/Pyramid/Day.
The astonishing fact: UFO with white lights hovering above the PYRAMID TOP of the THEBES PYRAMID (over 3,000 years old) as witnessed by residents of Thebes. This PYRAMID had the TOMB of the twin Founders/Kings of THEBES, AMFEION and ZYTHOS.
... Needs to be investigated further by the appropriate governmental authorities.

wn.com/Ancient Pyramids Of Greece Prove Older Than Egyptian Pyramids.
Over 16 Ancient Pyramids in throughout Greece and one additional in Holy Mount Athos over 2,000 meters in height.
Greek Pyramids are over 3,000 years old proving to be much older than the Giza Pyramids.

Ancient History Documentary: The Secrets of the Aegean Apocalypse
This ancient history documentary, the Secrets of the Aegean Apocalypse, is about an ancient epic destruction that seems to have ended the Bronze Age.
Around 1,200 BC, during the Bronze Age, an ancient Armageddon destroyed nearly every known civilization. Although it was predicted thousands of years ago, no one saw it coming. This was the disaster that was mentioned in Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey and in the Old Testament. What could have caused this epic destruction?
One archaeologist has dedicated his life to following clues rediscovering the ancient pathways that lead up the sheer cliffs of the Aegean. He follows the footsteps of the survivors hoping to discover how and why their world collapsed.
The theories are many, but most now include one mysterious and massively destructive factor - a force only the Egyptians survived to name: The Sea People.
Who were these warriors and how could they take down the world's greatest powers in a span of just 50 years?
Scale the dizzying heights of Crete's mountain fortress with archaeologist Krzysztof Nowicki as he searches for clues.

The Peloponnesian War (431–404 BC) was an ancient Greek war fought by Athens and its empire against the Peloponnesian League led by Sparta. Historians have traditionally divided the war into three phases. In the first phase, the Archidamian War, Sparta launched repeated invasions of Attica, while Athens took advantage of its naval supremacy to raid the coast of the Peloponnese attempting to suppress signs of unrest in its empire. This period of the war was concluded in 421 BC, with the signing of the Peace of Nicias. That treaty, however, was soon undermined by renewed fighting in the Peloponnese. In 415 BC, Athens dispatched a massive expeditionary force to attack Syracuse in Sicily; the attack failed disastrously, with the destruction of the entire force, in 413 BC. This ushered in the final phase of the war, generally referred to either as the Decelean War, or the Ionian War. In this phase, Sparta, now receiving support from Persia, supported rebellions in Athens' subject states in the Aegean Sea and Ionia, undermining Athens' empire, and, eventually, depriving the city of naval supremacy. The destruction of Athens' fleet at Aegospotami effectively ended the war, and Athens surrendered in the following year. Corinth and Thebes demanded that Athens should be destroyed and all its citizens should be enslaved but Sparta refused.
The Peloponnesian War reshaped the ancient Greek world. On the level of international relations, Athens, the strongest city-state in Greece prior to the war's beginning, was reduced to a state of near-complete subjection, while Sparta became established as the leading power of Greece. The economic costs of the war were felt all across Greece; poverty became widespread in the Peloponnese, while Athens found itself completely devastated, and never regained its pre-war prosperity. The war also wrought subtler changes to Greek society; the conflict between democratic Athens and oligarchic Sparta, each of which supported friendly political factions within other states, made civil war a common occurrence in the Greek world.
Greek warfare, meanwhile, originally a limited and formalized form of conflict, was transformed into an all-out struggle between city-states, complete with atrocities on a large scale. Shattering religious and cultural taboos, devastating vast swathes of countryside, and destroying whole cities, the Peloponnesian War marked the dramatic end to the fifth century BC and the golden age of Greece.
