As my family is generally gluten free I substituted to cake for a gluten free one and replaced the chocolate sprinlkes with grated gluten free chocolate. On average, gluten free cakes are slightly drier than regular ones so I increased the butter by 2 tablespoons. This worked really well and would highly recommend it to all.

I think this recipe is great for adults and children to make and can be made throught the year not just in Christmas in July

I used smaller sized pack of marshmallows instead of the large sized marshmallows because of the different flavours available in the smaller range. I recommend that if you are making these that you make two batches up so that they will last longer. They were delicious my family loved them because of their soft, goey centres. They enjoyed eating them so much that they only lasted for one day! The sizes of them made ideal for sharing. The recipe was easy to make as easy as baking a cake. I loved the texture, the size and the appearance of the Chocolate Baubles. They would be great no only for Christmas in July but also on a warm December Christmas Day!
