Egyptian-born imam Abu Hamza al-Masri has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of terrorism charges last year. The sentence was handed down in a US District Court in New York on Friday. Abu Hamza was found guilty last May of providing a satellite phone and advice to a group of Yemeni fighters who kidnapped Western tourists in 1998. Four of the hostages were killed during a rescue mission by Yemen's army. He was also convicted of trying to help a US government informant establish a training camp in the state of Oregon and providing material support to al-Qaeda. Prosecutors had called for a life sentence for a man they called a "global terrorist leader who orchestrated plots around the world". Lawyers of Abu Hamza, who was indicted in the US in 2004 under his birth name - Mustafa Kamel Mustafa - argued at the trial that he did not participate in any conspiracy. They said the government's case rested largely on the incendiary language he employed in media interviews and the sermons he gave at the Finsbury Park mosque in north London, which earned him notoriety in the Britain. Abu Hamza spent eight years in prison in the UK for inciting violence, before his extradition in 2012 to the US to face the terrorism charges.please subscribe the video

Filipino surprises Riyadh neighborhood with amazing Adhan A Filipino Muslim has taken the Saudi capital by storm after a video of his call to worship was shared on social media networks earlier this week. The Imam of Hamza bin Muttalib mosque in Al-Uraija district, west of Riyadh allowed the Filipino to call for prayers. Local newspapers reported that worshipers from the neighborhood flocked to the mosque in large numbers after hearing the Adhan. The beautiful rendering of the Adhan sounded very similar to the one recited by Sheikh Mohammed Mulla, the famous muezzin of the Grand Mosque in Makkah. The worshipers were even more surprised to see that the owner of the melodious voice was a Filipino. The imam of the mosque invited journalists to listen to the Muslim expat's amazing call to worship. The video of the Filipino man's Adhan was uploaded on YouTube on 20Dec, and has already got over 200,000 hits.
TV9 News : 'Abu Hamza' Key Mumbai Terror Attack Arrested at IGI Airport...., After tracking him for more than three years, security agencies have arrested Sayed Zabiuddin alias Abu Hamza, alleged Lashker-e-Taiba ultra and the Hindi tutor of 10 terrorists who carried out the audacious attack in Mumbai in 2008. The 30-year-old Ansari alias Abu Jindal, who hails from Georai area of Beed district in Maharashtra, was arrested on June 21 when he arrived in India from a Gulf country, official sources said today. India had also secured an Interpol Red Corner notice against him in which he was accused of crimes involving the use of weapons, explosives and terrorism. With his arrest, the mysterious voice recorded during the conversation between 10 Lashker terrorists and their handlers in Pakistan has been identified, the sources said. According to the officials associated with the probe, Ansari had told Lashker terrorists carrying out attack in Nariman House to convey to the media that the "attack was a trailer and the entire movie was yet to come". The voice was that of Ansari and after this his activities were traced before he was finally nabbed in a Gulf country, according to officials. In the intercepted tapes, Ansari was also heard using typical Hindi words like "prashasan" (government) and was directing the terrorists to conceal their Pakistani identity and identify themselves from Deccan Mujahideen hailing from Toli Chowk in Hyderabad. His presence was also stated by Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist arrested during the Mumbai attack, in his deposition before a special court. He told the court that one person by the name of Abu Jindal had tutored 10 terrorists on how to speak Hindi. Missing since 2005, Ansari, who had undergone training at Indian Technical Institute in Beed, had a sudden rise in the ranks of Lashker-e-Taiba after he was indoctrinate by banned SIMI post Gujarat riots in 2002. The Central security agencies had quizzed many arrested terrorists to study the case of Ansari during which it came to light that he had been operating out of terror camps in Karachi and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and was a key figure in the terror group's plan to carry out the strikes in the country's hinterland. 26/11, Mumbai Attack, 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Mumbai attacks, 26/11 terrorist arrested, terrorist arrested from Delhi airport, Key Mumbai terror attack Arrested, Abu Hamza, Abu Hamza Arrested, Zabiuddin arrest, Ajmal Kasab, Tv9 Live News, Tv9 Online news, Free Channels.

He is a convert to Islam, and is one of the signatories of A Common Word Between Us and You, an open letter by Islamic scholars to Christian leaders, calling for peace and understanding. He has described the 9/11 attacks as "an act of 'mass murder, pure and simple'". Condemning the attacks, he has also stated "Islam was hijacked ... on that plane as an innocent victim".The Guardian newspaper in the United Kingdom reported that he "is arguably the west's most influential Islamic scholar" and added that "many Muslims find his views hard to stomach."
Hamza Yusuf was born to two academics in Washington State and raised in Northern California. In 1977, he became Muslim and subsequently traveled to the Muslim world and studied for ten years in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, as well as North and West Africa. Hamza Yusuf spent four years studying in the United Arab Emirates and elsewhere in the Middle East.
