The real face of hate at the University of Delaware.
Not the fake kind.
About the Author
Colin Flaherty is an award winning reporter and author of the #1 best selling book Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry: The hoax of black victimization and those who enable it.
From Colonel Allen West: “Read Colin Flaherty’s book, Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry. And be certain to share it.”
TownHall: “Heroic.”
FrontPageMag: “A national treasure.”
Steve Malzberg, NewMaxTV: “Amazing.”
Bill Cunningham: “Amazing.”
Anthony Cumia: “Amazing.”
His work has appeared in more than 1000 news sites around the world, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Time Magazine. His story about how a black man was unjustly convicted of trying to kill his white girlfriend resulted in his release from state prison and was featured on Court TV, NPR, The Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune.
He is also the author of White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore it.
Both books are about black mob violence, black on white crime and the Knockout Game — and how public officials, reporters and activists deny, excuse, condone and encourage them.
Thomas Sowell: ”Reading Colin Flaherty’s book made painfully clear to me that the magnitude of this problem is greater than I had discovered from my own research. He documents both the race riots and the media and political evasions in dozens of cities.” – National Review.
Sean Hannity: White Girl Bleed a Lot “has gone viral.”
Allen West: “At least author Colin Flaherty is tackling this issue (of racial violence and black on white crime) in his new book, White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore it.“
Los Angeles Times: “a favorite of conservative voices.”x
Daily Caller: “As the brutal “knockout” game sweeps across the U.S., one author isn’t surprised by the attacks or the media reaction. Colin Flaherty, author of the book “White Girl Bleed A Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How The Media Ignore It,” began chronicling the new wave of violence nearly a year ago — revealing disturbing racial motivations behind the attacks and a pattern of media denial.”
Alex Jones: “Brilliant. Could not put it down.”
Neal Boortz: “Colin Flaherty has become Public Enemy No.1 to the leftist media because of his research on black culture of violence.”
From the Bill Cunningham show. It is official: “Colin Flaherty is a great American.A wonderful book.”
Breitbart.com: “Prescient. Ahead of the News. Garnering attention and sparking important discussions.”
David Horowitz: “A determined reporter, Colin Flaherty, broke ranks to document these rampages in a book titled, White Girl Bleed A Lot”

It starts with a question: What difference can one idea, one person, one university make? We will find answers—and discover new questions—together. Join the campaign at http://campaign.uchicago.edu.
The University of Chicago Campaign: Inquiry and Impact, the most ambitious and comprehensive campaign in the University’s history, will raise $4.5 billion to support faculty and researchers, practitioners and patients, and students and programs across the University.
The campaign supports priorities in every division, school, department, and institute, across six major content areas: global engagement, scientific discovery, urban research and practice, intellectual destination, innovation and economic impact, and culture and society.
It is our opportunity—as alumni and friends, patients and families—to ensure that UChicago continues to take its place among the world’s great centers of discovery, education, and influence by supporting faculty and students in their quest to define future inquiry and its impact on our lives.
Concluding in 2019, the UChicago Campaign aims to engage 125,000 alumni and friends over its five-year duration. Learn more at http://campaign.uchicago.edu.

The Fiamengo File, weekly on Studio Brulé.
Students have proclaimed the University of Toronto (U of T) to be a Feminist Campus, with the blessing and support of the university administration. Professor Janice Fiamengo from the University of Ottawa criticizes the U of T administrator's cowardice and double standards in failing to maintain objectivity and intellectual integrity by bowing to the hysteria of ideological feminists.

From Coraline to The Sandman and American Gods to Doctor Who, Neil Gaiman has made his mark by bringing fantasy and sci-fi from the fringe and into the spotlight. Gaiman joins Clem Bastow onstage to talk about his varied work, the tyranny of genre, sneezing baby pandas and red daleks.
Gaiman’s conversation is lively and wide-ranging; he moves quickly from describing why he feels like a fraud to discussing why he’s not published in mainland China (and how a sneezing panda named Chu might change that). When Bastow asks him if he’s bothered by the effect genre prejudices may have on whether all of his work is read or not, he says that beginning as a comic writer, “every single possible prejudice that can be levelled at an area of the arts is levelled at you.”
The breadth of his output is one of Gaiman’s most distinctive features. Speaking about his reluctance to be pigeonholed as a writer, he reveals that his restlessness stems from what he learned during early days as a journalist interviewing other writers. He also describes how he tries to enter the storytelling process as openly as possible.
Questions are invited early in the session, prefaced by Gaiman’s explanation of what he considers a question. Gaiman engages playfully with his audience, who ask questions about his inspiration for Neverwhere, his creative approach, his resistance to his work appearing in school curriculums, plot outlines and his knowledge of his characters.
He’s queried on where his ideas originate — “the question that must not be asked of writers” — and elucidates the experience of writing for Doctor Who (“um… it was awesome!”).
On weightier topics, Gaiman talks about the ideas behind his unconventional characterisation of death and the kind of death he’d prefer to meet. He offers his thoughts on love and vulnerability and confesses that as a social creature, “writing is peculiarly lonely”.
To close the evening, Gaiman slips his iPad onto his lap and reads a poem he wrote for an Australia Day event earlier in 2011. “There are so few places in the world that I could possibly read this poem,” he explains.

Bestselling, award winning author Neil Gaiman on writing, publishing and ideas
This is a slightly random Q&A; with Neil Gaiman which explores his thoughts on ideas, writing, publishing and robots.
With questions and answers from a number of different interviews, Neil Gaiman talks eloquently and entertainingly on a number of subjects.
He starts by tackling the question all writers hate; where do you get your ideas from? He jokes about this first but then explains why this is, and why this is such a difficult question for writers, before coming up with a very simple answer and making everyone laugh.
He then answers couple of questions from slips of paper sent in by fans. Do you believe in what you write or is it all complete fiction for you? Then a question about whether the fantasy genre might go out of fashion. He talks about publishing then, and how these things work, and answers very honestly about its fashions and trends.
He's then asked whether robots might take over the world; possibly his most entertaining response :)
Finally, Neil talks about the power of ideas and freedom of speech in a moving speech in response to the Charlie Hebdo attacks in France.
Throughout the video, Gaiman is funny, frank and to the point. Don't miss his writerly wisdom!

A US jury has ordered technology giant Apple to pay more than $234m (£152m) in damages for patent infringement.
The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, the patent licensing arm of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said the verdict was important to guard its inventions from unauthorised use.
The jury had earlier decided that Apple incorporated patented microchip technology into some iPhones and iPads without permission.
Apple said it would appeal.
The company declined to comment further.
The jury set the amount - about $165m less than the foundation had claimed - after about three hours of deliberations.
University of Wisconsin-Madison computer sciences professor Gurindar Sohi, one of the inventors of the microchip technology - designed to boost the performance of computer processors - was in the federal court in Madison, Wisconsin, for the decision.
"For Dr Sohi, I hope you felt that your invention was vindicated,'' US District Judge William Conley said.
'Seminal work'
Carl Gulbrandsen, managing director of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, said: "This is a case where the hard work of our university researchers and the integrity of patenting and licensing discoveries has prevailed.
"The jury recognised the seminal computer processing work that took place on our campus.''
The case relates to use of the technology in the iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus - but an additional lawsuit making the same claim against Apple's newest models, the 6S and 6S Plus, has also been filed.
The University of Wisconsin sued Intel over the same patent in 2008. That case was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

ASL: Electromagnetism Seminar with Ivor Catt and David Walton 9th October 2013
Electromagnetism is the study of the electromagnetic field. It explores physical phenomena taking place under the effect of the electromagnetic force, sometimes called Lorentz force, which includes both electricity and magnetism in one phenomenon. Electromagnetism together with its physical and mathematical descriptions, provide fundamental knowledge and essential underpinning to the design and test of all electrical and electronic devices, circuits and systems. While electromagnetism has been in the centre of research and teaching of such disciplines as electric machines, drives, wired and wireless communications, analogue electronics, in the area of digital computational systems the place of electromagnetism has for many years been, quite undeservedly, peripheral.
Today, when computing comes back to and becomes heavily dependent on the study of physical properties of signal propagation, energy consumption, thermal radiation, to name but a few, we are witnessing a revived interest to the fundamentals of the electromagnetism studies.
This seminar will comprise lectures on an unconventional electromagnetic theory (based on Oliver Heaviside's notion of energy current) and experiments, highlighting problems, paradoxes and anomalies, provoking audience for subsequent discussions. We will also seek to find interpretations of the presented theory in relation to how electromagnetic energy drives computation and communication in modern and future microelectronic systems.
Our two distinguished speakers are Mr Ivor Catt and Dr David Walton, who have been working together on this unconventional theory (called Theory C) for 40 years, its notions of Transverse Electromagnetic Wave (TEM), displacement current, and unconventional models of capacitor and transmission line.
Some background reading on this subject can be found here: http://www.ivorcatt.com/index.html
Abstract of David Walton's lecture:
It is normally recognised that the postulation of Displacement current by James Clerk Maxwell was a vital step which led to the understanding that light was an electromagnetic wave. I will examine the origins of displacement current by consideration of the behaviour of the dielectric in a lumped capacitor and will show that it has no physical reality. In the absence of an ether there is no rationale for displacement current. We are then left with a theory which works mathematically but has no basis in physical reality. I will discuss the remarkable property of empty space in that it has the ability to accommodate energy.
In the next section I will show that Faraday's law and conservation of charge lead to the existence of electromagnetic energy which travels at a single fixed velocity and has a determined relationship between the electric and magnetic fields. Because this mathematics is reversible it follows that these two physical laws can be considered to be consequences of the nature of electromagnetic energy rather than the reverse.
I will go on to consider the anomalies, including the Catt Anomaly, which result when we try to apply classical electrodynamics to step propagation in a transmission line.
Finally I will introduce models of L and C which are based on the transmission line model.

I did a first degree in engineering in Cambridge. In 1964 Motorola made the fastest (1 nsec) logic, ECL. I was brought in to research the interconnection of this logic. I discovered that a logic signal travelling along the surface of a printed circuit board above a ground plane in the presence of another parallel conductor travelled at two velocities, and the crosstalk could be 50% however widely the conductors were separated. During the next 50 years my interest has centred on electromagnetic theory.

Dogs’ special domestication processes, their natural socialization to humans, and the possibility of tracing evolutionary changes by comparing dogs’ behavior to that of wolves, make dogs altogether unique for studying the evolution of complex social behavior.
Earlier studies on socialized wolves’ behavior tested problem solving, learning ability, or intraspecies aggression and did not report on human oriented behavior. In addition, the sample sizes in this work were often low (Fentress, 1967; Frank & Frank, 1982), and wolves and dogs were not socialized to comparable levels (Hare, Brown, Williamson, & Tomasello, 2002).
We decided to avoid these insufficiencies. In the years 2001-2003 we (Family Dog Project, Department of Ethology, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary) obtained 13, 4 to 6 day-old wolf cubs from 5 litters (6 males and 7 females in all from Zoltán Horkai's farm http://horkai.net/) and 11 dog puppies of similar ages from 5 litters (6 males and 5 females; all mongrels, born in shelters).
The unique feature of this program was that each cub and puppy had its own human caretaker, who spent 24 hours a day together with the animal for a period of about 9-16 weeks. Although the animals had the chance to meet conspecifics regularly (at least weekly), they spent most of their time in close contact with the human caretaker. Additionally, every caretaker took special care to avoid competitive situations and aggressive interactions in order to maintain a friendly and trustful relationship with the animal.
The caretakers often carried the animals on their body in a pouch, and they slept together at night. The animals were fed first by bottle, then later (from the age of 4-5 weeks) with solid food by hand. When the subjects’ motor activity made it possible, they were trained to walk on leash and execute some basic obedience tasks. The caretakers carried the cubs and the puppies to various places either by car or public transport. Also, they were regular visitors at the university, participated in dog-camps, and frequented dog training schools.
From their third week of life, the animals were tested weekly in various behavioural experiments examining social preferences, social and physical neophobia, reaction to dominance, retrieval of objects, communication with humans, and possessivity. After this intensive period, wolves were gradually integrated into a wolf pack at Godollo (near Budapest), and the carers visited them once or twice a week (Kubinyi et al 2007, http://comparative-cognition-and-behavior-reviews.org/2007/vol2_kubinyi_viranyi_miklosi/).

As I say I feel it is important for us not to panic - but I do feel as though we do need to continue the debate around these key issues.
There is also interest in what Prince William may be doing with his helicopter rescue team. Is he transporting people in countryside areas to hospital in towns if they need to be taken there?
Of course, I don't know where the bosses of Tesco live - the owners of Tesco - and whether they are resident in the UK or not? I am hoping that they are and that they are going to be able to help us. I am worried about the level of debt Tesco might have got into - and I am wondering also about their tax situation. They might indeed be the only ones paying tax in the UK? After all - I am not sure whether companies like Amazon are etc. The tax situation is clearly one that needs to be thought out a bit more. We don't want a complete demise of Emergency Services in this country - or a descent into chaos. But on the other hand - as I say, some of the jobs we have been given seem to have been - and are increasingly becoming perhaps - a bit suspect.
When I was studying to teach English as a Foreign Language at Leeds Metropolitan University one of the reasons I didn't pass the course was because I objected to the large amount of photocopying that was having to go on.
There seeemd to be good reasons for it in the eyes of the teachers - they seemed to want to make all the students more independent and not having to be taught by one person centrally - but able to find out and discover information and ways of doing things for themselves.
But I was concerned about the VAST amounts of paper being used - and also I was having trouble keeping up with the payments I had to make to use the photocopier all the time.
Here is the link to the Radio 4 programme from the University of Aberdeen.
As I say I will post it up on my blog as well - but if you are following me mostly on Youtubhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06gxc1qe you may want to copy and paste it from here:

The reason I am making videos as well as writing on my blog - and there IS material available on my blog that is not covered by my videos - is so as not to exclude people who may have some trouble reading.
The Tesco in York I am thinking of in particular is Tesco at Askham Bar, Tadcaster Road. They are the ones with the Community Room upstairs - and the Giraffe Restaurant and also a Currency Exchange faciility. I dread to think why the Car Park has got so big lately though - it has been extended for miles right behind Tesco.

Each John Carroll Weekend culminates with a banquet celebrating the John Carroll and Patrick Healy Award recipients. Each is recognized for their service to Georgetown and their communities, their lifetime achievements and their dedication to advancing Georgetown's mission of distinguished service and leadership.
The John Carroll Award was established by the Georgetown University Alumni Association in 1952 to honor alumni whose achievements exemplify the ideals and traditions of Georgetown University and its founder, Archbishop John Carroll. The John Carroll Award is the highest honor bestowed by the alumni association. All recipients have distinguished themselves through lifetime achievement and outstanding service to their alma mater. Five John Carroll Awards are presented each year.
2015 John Carroll Award recipients
Richard L. Battista (B’86) — Los Angeles, California
Carmen A. Policy (L’66) — Yountville, California
Mary Machado Schammel (C’80, MBA’15) — Pasadena, California
Paul J. Tagliabue (C’62) — Washington, D.C.
David J. Walsh (C’58) — New York, New York
The Patrick Healy Award is the highest honor bestowed by the alumni association upon distinguished individuals who are not alumni. Established in 1969 and named for Rev. Patrick Healy, S.J., the first black president of a major American university and Georgetown's "second founder," the Patrick Healy Award symbolizes the deep admiration that the university holds for these unique individuals and special friends of Georgetown. This year, the alumni association will present two Patrick Healy Awards.
2015 Patrick Healy Award recipients:
Irma M. Frank (Parent’91, ’94, ’97) — McLean, Virginia
Donald F. McHenry (H’81, Parent'83) — Washington, D.C.
