KITE FESTIVAL IN WILDWOOD: The 31st Annual Wildwoods International Kite Festival will kick off Memorial Day Weekend in South Jersey. The festival, one of the largest of its kind in the Northeast, will begin Friday night (there will be an illuminated night kite fly) and finish up on Monday. The festival will offer exhibitions, demonstrations and competitions on the beach -- including the East Coast Stunt Kite Championships on Saturday and Sunday morning. Free. JB SMOOVE AT STRESS FACTORY: JB Smoove broke out huge with his portrayal of Larry David's roommate Leon Black in the acclaimed HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Since then he's been killing as a stand-up, and in movies, TV series and comedy specials. He will run a four show stand at The Stress Factory in New Brunswick over Memorial Day Weekend. $37-$46. NEW YORK RADIO SHOWS AT THE SHORE: If you're willing to wake up early on Friday there's three huge New York morning shows kicking off Memorial Day Weekend at the Jersey Shore. If you love sports talk, you can check out WFAN's Boomer & Carton show live from The Headliner in Neptune. The annual 95.5 WPLJ Summer Kick-Off will begin at 6 a.m. at Jenkinson's Pavilion in Point Pleasant Beach. In Seaside Heights, WCBS-FM's Scott Shannon and his "Big Show Crew" will broadcast live from Spicy Cantina for their 2016 Summer Blast-Off. JERSEY SHORE FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL: The food truck movement will be celebrated for three days at Monmouth Park. The Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival will have over 50 food trucks selling their homemade awesomeness at an indoor and outdoor festival ground. This way there's optimal room for people to walk around, and to stuff their face. Trucks on hand include Cheezen, El Lechon Negron, The Empanada Guy, Falafel, Mary Queen of Pork, Mobile Mardi Gras, My Four Suns, My Hola Paella, The Angry Crab, The Outslider, and Pompier Pierogi Flats. $5. TWO PORK ROLL FESTS IN TRENTON: Trenton loves its pork roll. So much so that two separate venues are throwing festivals in tribute of the classic Jersey cuisine. The first will take place at Trenton Social and is dubbed the Trenton Pork Roll Festival. There will be food trucks like Johnny's Pork Roll and Coffee, Crespella's Crepes, My Four Suns, and others serving up their best pork roll-inspired menu items. There will be live music throughout the day, and (you're not reading this wrong) '90s dance group C&C; Music Factory will be headlining. $5-$35. The second festival will take place down the road at Mill Hill Park, and is similarly named The 2016 Pork Roll Festival." This festival will feature outdoor food vendors and crafters, live music throughout the day, tales of Trenton's pork roll history, and the crowning of the Pork Roll Queen. $5. COLLINGSWOOD MAY FAIR 2016: The Collingswood May Fair started as a little art exhibit in 1979 but has evolved into a premier South Jersey event. On Saturday Haddon Avenue will be shut down at more than 200 artists and vendors will come together to sell their works. There will be a "kids zone" for the little ones to enjoy themselves. A stage will be erected on Haddon allowing for a day filled with a wide variety of music. There will also be a food court, and all the local restaurants will be open. Free. Saturday 10 a.m. - 5p.m. Haddon Avenue, Collingswood.
NEW JERSEY RENAISSANCE FAIRE: Attention lords and ladies, the "Ren Faire" hath come back to town. This weekend will kick off the New Jersey Renaissance Faire's three weekend run in Bordentown. So, if you miss it this weekend due to Memorial Day Weekend parties, you can always catch it on the weekends of June 4 and 5, and June 11 and 12. There will be plenty of cosplay and swordplay at the Renaissance Faire as well as vendors, food merchants, demonstrations, and theatrical productions. $15-$60.
