In today's fun family vlog, my wife shows you how to dye easter eggs with plant prints. To be able to dye easter eggs with plant prints, you will need eggs, food color, plant prints, vinegar, water, and nylon stockings. This dying easter egg idea is a great way to decorate easter eggs with a more natural look to the easter egg. For this Easter Egg Idea, the first thing that you want to do to dye easter eggs with plant prints is to pour in 1/2 a cup of water into a cup. Then for this easter egg idea you want to add a tablespoon of vinegar to help break down the shell of the easter egg so that the food color adheres to the easter egg. You want to drop in about 20-30 drops of food color. The more food color you use, the brighter the Easter egg color will be when you go to dye the easter egg. Next thing you do to dye easter eggs with plant prints is to put the nylon stocking over your hand, grab an easter egg and put plant leaves up against the easter egg. Once you have the plants up against the easter egg, pull the nylon stocking over the easter egg. Then you want to tie the nylon stocking so that the easter egg is securely in the nylon stocking and the plant leaves are up against the easter egg. In this Easter Egg Idea, the next you want to drop the easter egg that is in the nylon stocking into your food color mixture so that you can dye the easter egg, and the part with the plants on it will leave a plant print (or a mask on the easter egg) when the easter egg is finished being dyed. This form of easter egg dying can also be called masked easter eggs or stenciled easter eggs. You can also use herbs as a good stencil or plant print for this decorating easter egg idea. We've heard that herb stenciled easter eggs come out really well. Greek Easter Eggs and Romanian Easter Eggs are created using this method of dying easter eggs with plant prints and stenciled herbs. Martha Stewart did an article about Masked Easter Eggs when she talked about dying easter eggs. The easter eggs came out looking great, and my wife and the kids had a great time dying easter eggs while I mowed the lawn and did some yard work. My wife also cooked our family a delicious family dinner for us to eat as a family at the family table. Our family dinner was Roasted Mustard Garlic Chicken with Green Beans.
