As a young adult Zschech sang jingles for a number of international companies including McDonald's, KFC and Coca Cola.
In 2003, Zschech released her first solo album in nine years, entitled Kiss of Heaven. She had earlier released a vinyl album in 1987 called Make The Choice and a cassette album in 1993 called Pearls & Gold. Change Your World followed in 2005. She has since released two albums in 2011 called Simply Darlene and You Are Love. In addition to writing songs, Zschech has written four books: Worship (1996), Extravagant Worship (2002), The Kiss of Heaven (2003) and The Great Generational Transition (2009).
Zschech and her husband were the founding executive directors of Mercy Ministries Australia. In 2009, after an 18-month investigation, they were named by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission as being two of several former directors of Mercy Ministries Australia likely for the organisation's "false, misleading and deceptive conduct". They claimed their services were free, but in fact "residents had to sign over their Centrelink benefits during their stay."
Since winning the Newcomers section of the Sanremo Music Festival in 1994, Bocelli has recorded thirteen solo studio albums, of both pop and classical music, two greatest hits albums, and eight complete operas, selling over 75 million records worldwide. Thus, he is the biggest-selling solo artist in the history of classical music and has caused core classical repertoire to "cross over" to the top of international pop charts and into previously uncharted territory in popular culture.

Pope Francis delivers Easter Mass | St Peter's Square, Vatican | Video
Easter Sunday | Mass of the Day | Happy Easter to you all!
Pope Francis: Urbi et Orbi Message
5 April 2015
St Peters Square, Vatican City, Rome, Italy.
#Easter, #HollyWeek, #PopeFrancis, #News
Tens of thousands of people gathered in Saint Peter's Square on Sunday morning, despite the cold and the rain, to take part in Solemn Mass with Pope Francis in celebration of Easter. Following the Liturgy, the Holy Father gave the traditional Blessing Urbi et Orbi - to the City [of Rome] and to the World.
official English translation of the Holy Father's prepared remarks:
Pope Francis
EASTER URBI ET ORBI MESSAGE to the City and to the World
5 April 2015.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Jesus Christ is risen!
Love has triumphed over hatred, life has conquered death, light has dispelled the darkness!
Out of love for us, Jesus Christ stripped himself of his divine glory, emptied himself, took on the form of a slave and humbled himself even to death, death on a cross. For this reason God exalted him and made him Lord of the universe. Jesus is Lord!
By his death and resurrection, Jesus shows everyone the way to life and happiness: this way is humility, which involves humiliation. This is the path which leads to glory. Only those who humble themselves can go towards the “things that are above”, towards God (cf. Col 3:1-4). The proud look “down from above”; the humble look “up from below”.
On Easter morning, alerted by the women, Peter and John ran to the tomb. They found it open and empty. Then they drew near and “bent down” in order to enter it. To enter into the mystery, we need to “bend down”, to abase ourselves. Only those who abase themselves understand the glorification of Jesus and are able to follow him on his way.
The world proposes that we put ourselves forward at all costs, that we compete, that we prevail… But Christians, by the grace of Christ, dead and risen, are the seeds of another humanity, in which we seek to live in service to one another, not to be arrogant, but rather respectful and ready to help.
This is not weakness, but true strength! Those who bear within them God’s power, his love and his justice, do not need to employ violence; they speak and act with the power of truth, beauty and love.
From the risen Lord we ask the grace not to succumb to the pride which fuels violence and war, but to have the humble courage of pardon and peace. We ask Jesus, the Victor over death, to lighten the sufferings of our many brothers and sisters who are persecuted for his name, and of all those who suffer injustice as a result of ongoing conflicts and violence.
We ask for peace, above all, for Syria and Iraq, that the roar of arms may cease and that peaceful relations may be restored among the various groups which make up those beloved countries. May the international community not stand by before the immense humanitarian tragedy unfolding in these countries and the drama of the numerous refugees.
We pray for peace for all the peoples of the Holy Land. May the culture of encounter grow between Israelis and Palestinians and the peace process be resumed, in order to end years of suffering and division.
We implore peace for Libya, that the present absurd bloodshed and all barbarous acts of violence may cease, and that all concerned for the future of the country may work to favour reconciliation and to build a fraternal society respectful of the dignity of the person. For Yemen too we express our hope for the growth of a common desire for peace, for the good of the entire people.
At the same time, in hope we entrust to the merciful Lord the framework recently agreed to in Lausanne, that it may be a definitive step toward a more secure and fraternal world.
We ask the risen Lord for the gift of peace for Nigeria, South Sudan and for the various areas of Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. May constant prayer rise up from all people of goodwill for those who lost their lives – I think in particular of the young people who were killed last Thursday at Garissa University College in Kenya –, for all who have been kidnapped, and for those forced to abandon their homes and their dear ones.

St. Peter's Square (Italian: Piazza San Pietro, Latin: Forum Sancti Petri, pronounced [ˌpi̯aʦa san ˈpi̯ɛːtɾo]) is a largeish plaza located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, the papal enclave inside Rome, directly west of the neighbourhood or rione of Borgo. At the centre of the square is an Egyptian obelisk, erected at the current site in 1586. Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the square almost 100 years later, including the massive Tuscan colonnades, four columns deep, which embrace visitors in "the maternal arms of Mother Church." St. Peter's Basilica
The Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican, or simply St. Peter's Basilica (Latin: Basilica Sancti Petri; Italian: Basilica Papale di San Pietro in Vaticano), is a Late Renaissance church located within Vatican City. Designed principally by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, St. Peter's is the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture and remains one of the two largest churches in the world. While it is neither the mother church of the Catholic Church nor the Catholic Roman Rite cathedral of the Diocese of Rome, St. Peter's is regarded as one of the holiest Catholic shrines. A Nativity scene was also donated by the city of Verona.

At the center of the ellipse stands an Egyptian obelisk of red granite, 25.5 meters tall, supported on bronze lions and surmounted by the Chigi arms in bronze, in all 41 meters to the cross on its top. It was originally erected at Heliopolis by an unknown pharaoh of the Fifth dynasty of Egypt. The Emperor Augustus had it moved to the Julian Forum of Alexandria, where it stood until year 37 A.D., when Caligula ordered the forum demolished and the obelisk transferred to Rome. He placed it in the center of the Circus, where it would preside over Nero's countless brutal games and Christian executions. It was moved to its current site in 1586 by the engineer-architect Domenico Fontana under the direction of Pope Sixtus V; the engineering feat of re-erecting its vast weight was memorialized in a suite of engravings. The Vatican Obelisk is the only obelisk in Rome that has not toppled since ancient Roman times. Saint Peter's Square is located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, the papal enclave within Rome. The open space which lies before the basilica was redesigned by Gian Lorenzo Bernini from 1656 to 1667, under the direction of Pope Alexander VII, as an appropriate forecourt, designed "so that the greatest number of people could see the Pope give his blessing, either from the middle of the façade of the church or from a window in the Vatican Palace". Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the square almost 100 years later, including the massive Tuscan colonnades, four columns deep, which embrace visitors in "the maternal arms of Mother Church." The Papal Basilica of St. It has been described as "holding a unique position in the Christian world" and as "the greatest of all churches of Christendom". By Catholic Tradition, the Basilica is the burial site of its namesake St. Peter, one of the Apostles of Jesus Christ and, also according to tradition, the first Pope and Bishop of Rome. Tradition and strong historical evidence hold that St. Peter's tomb is directly below the high altar of the Basilica. For this reason, many Popes have been interred at St. Peter's since the Early Christian period. There has been a church on this site since the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. Construction of the present basilica, replacing the Old St. Peter's Basilica of the 4th century AD, began on 18 April 1506 and was completed on 18 November 1626. St. Peter's is famous as a place of pilgrimage, for its liturgical functions. Because of its location in the Vatican, the Pope presides at a number of liturgies throughout the year, drawing audiences of 15,000 to over 80,000 people, either within the Basilica or its adjoining St. Peter's Square. St. Peter's has many strong historical associations, with the Early Christian Church, the Papacy, the Protestant Reformation and Catholic Counter-reformation, and with numerous artists, most significantly Michelangelo. As a work of architecture, it is regarded as the greatest building of its age. St. Peter's is one of the four churches of Rome that hold the rank of Major Basilica. Contrary to popular misconception, it is not a cathedral because it is not the seat of a bishop; the Cathedra of the Pope as Bishop of Rome is located in the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran.

Pilgrims wait in St Peter's Square to watch canonisation ceremony
Tens of thousands of people gathered in Saint Peter's Square on Sunday morning for a historic day of four popes with Francis and Benedict XVI honouring their predecessors John XXIII and John Paul II and declaring them saints in the first ever canonisation of two pontiffs.
Polish pilgrims carrying the red and white flags of John Paul's homeland were among the first to press into the square well before sunrise, held back by human chains of neon-vested civil protection workers trying to maintain order.
Most of those who arrived first had camped out overnight on air mattresses and sleeping pads along the side streets leading to the square, which opened to the public at 5:30 am local time (03:30 GMT), four hours before the start of the ceremony.
Several pilgrims felt sick - mostly due to exhaustion - and emergency teams were at the scene to provide treatment.
The Italian Interior Ministry said an estimated one (m) million people were expected to attend the event.
The Vatican on Saturday ended weeks of speculation and confirmed that retired Pope Benedict, 87, would indeed participate in the canonisation.
The move sets a remarkable precedent for the 2,000-year-old Catholic Church, which has never seen a reigning and retired pope celebrating a public Mass
together.
Sunday's canonisation is the first time two popes have been declared saints at the same time.
Francis' decision to canonise two of the 20th century's greatest spiritual leaders amounts to a delicate balancing act, giving both the conservative and progressive wings of the church a new saint.

Church to install public showers for homeless people in St Peter's square
Homeless people in Vatican City will soon benefit from public showers which are currently under construction in St. Peter's Square.
The Pope's Almoner (chief alms-giver), Monsignor Konrad Krajewski, announced that three showers will be installed in the public restrooms off Bernini's Colonnade in St. Peter's Square to cater for homeless men and women.
The construction work started on Monday morning and the showers should be ready in a few months.
One homeless man in the area said he and others in his position are looking forward to the new facilities.
"Right now we are obliged to go to the Trastevere area where there are just a few showers, or to Corso Francia which is very far. We don't have money for the bus ticket and we risk being fined. For these reasons, we would be very happy to have the showers here," said the man, who declined to give his name.
Krajewski told La Stampa's 'Vatican Insider' website that he came up with the idea after meeting a homeless man named Franco while coming home from confession one day.
Krajewski said he offered to take Franco to dinner after learning it was his 50th birthday but nearly declined because of his unpleasant smell.
"I brought him with me anyway. We had Chinese," Krajewski was quoted as saying. "While we were at the table, he told me that you can always find something to eat in Rome but what is missing are places to wash yourself."
Krajewski told reporters last year that he envisages his work as the papal almoner as being a hands-on extension of Pope Francis.
Since the Pope can no longer do so in person he tasked Krajewski with carrying out "emergency" acts of charity in his name.

Lighting of Christmas tree; Nativity; new lighting on St Peter's Basilica
A 25-metre (82-foot) Christmas tree was lit up in St Peter's Square on Friday, less than a week before Christmas.
The giant tree was donated by Calabria, a region in southern Italy struggling with problems with the mafia, unemployment and a influx of migrants and refugees.
The President of the Calabria region, Gerardo Mario Oliverio, said the tree was meant to portray his region as a "a land where the positive values of welcome, tolerance and peace might prevail".
A Nativity scene was also donated by the city of Verona.
Meanwhile, St Peter's Basilica was also illuminated for the first time with 315 new LED lights, which the Vatican says will save energy,
Pope John Paul II began the tradition of having a Christmas tree in St Peter's Square in the 1980s and it has continued ever since.

STORYLINE:
The Vatican proceeded with plans to hold the Pope's weekly audience in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday morning as a man, protesting against the government of Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti, remained chained to the cupola of St. Peter's Basilica.
Vatican press office officials identified the man as Marcello di Finzio, the owner of a beach club in the Italian city of Trieste called "The Voice of the Moon".
Di Finizio climbed down from the balcony near the top of the Cupola of St. Peter's on Tuesday afternoon.
He hung out an enormous banner saying "Help! Enough Monti! Enough Europe! Enough corporations! You are killing us all! Development? This is a social butchery! No public auctions! No Bolkestein!".
The man is protesting against the EU Bolkestein directive which limits public beach concessions.
Italian beach-resort businessmen fear the EU directive on a single free market could affect their long-term and very cheap public concession for the use of the beaches.
The Italian association of beach-resorts businessman (ITB) showed solidarity toward Finizio with a press release on its website.
Vatican officials said that at 2300 local time on Wednesday (2100 GMT) night, Di Finizio had a long conversation on a mobile phone with two Italian ministers Enzo Moavero Milanesi, EU affairs, and Piero Gnudi, tourism.
The ministers offered him a meeting at the Prime Minister's office with government officials, but he refused.

An Italian, identified as businessman Marcello di Finizio, scaled the 130 metres high dome of Saint Peter's Basilica, Vatican, on Wednesday to protest European Union policy and austerity cuts that he claims are hurting his business.
Vatican press office officials identified di Finzio as the owner of a beach club, called "The Voice of the Moon," in the Italian city of Trieste.
Di Finizio climbed down to his precarious perch from the balcony near the top of the Cupola of St. Peter's on Tuesday afternoon.
He hung out an enormous banner reading "Help! Enough Monti! Enough Europe! Enough corporations! You are killing us all! Development? This is a social butchery! No public auctions! No Bolkestein!"
Di Finizio was protesting against the EU Bolkestein directive which limits public beach concessions.
Speaking on his mobile phone with AP, di Finizio said that he was protesting because of his "exasperation at the incapacity of this government to handle seriously a problem, that is the problem of tourism and the beach resort business."
It is not the first time that the businessman has tried to grab attention for the problems his sector is facing, but he told Associated Press that in past he has only received promises that were not kept, forcing him to this latest desperate gesture.
"I have already made a strong protest and they made me come down, making me promises that have not been kept. Enough! Now I am up here, and until they keep their promises and their commitments I will not come down," he said.
The Bolkestein Directive aims to establish a single market for services across the European Union, and Di Finizio is concerned about its long-term effects on the beach resort business in Italy.
The Italian association of beach resorts businessmen, the ITB, showed solidarity with Di Finizio in a press release on its site.
The Vatican proceeded with plans to hold the Pope's weekly audience in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday morning while the man remained chained to the cupola.

STORYLINE:
An Italian man who eluded Vatican security to scale the 130-metre (426-foot) high dome of St. Peter's Basilica agreed to end his protest late on Wednesday, after spending a full day on top of a cornice, opposing austerity measures that Italy has passed to combat its debt crisis.
The man, identified as Marcello Di Finizio, the owner of a beach-front concession and restaurant in the northern city of Trieste, climbed up on Tuesday evening.
Di Finizio put up a banner saying "Help! Enough Monti!" - referring to President Mario Monti, the architect of Italy's economic reforms.
In a surreal contrast, Pope Benedict XVI's regular papal audience - which draws tens of thousands of pilgrims on Wednesdays - went on as scheduled despite the protest on the dome above.
De Finizio said he did not suffer any particular discomfort during the protest, which he ended after Tourism Minister Piero Gnudi agreed to meet with a delegation of beach concession owners to discuss new rules governing the sector.
At issue are government reforms that will force an open bidding process for existing establishments and limit the length of the licenses.
The government passed the measures in accord with European Union norms to try to make the sector more competitive by preventing licenses from being passed from generation to generation.
But the concession owners say they make considerable investments in the properties, including mortgages, that they stand to lose.
The concessions cover more than 4,000 kilometres (2,500 miles) of Italy's lovely coast, more than half of it, renting out lounge chairs, umbrellas and changing rooms and offering a coffee bar or restaurant.
Di Finizio, who reportedly lost his restaurant in a fire and has struggled to get a loan to rebuild, has received moral support from other concession owners, who issued a statement saying they shared his "uncertainty about the future."
It was the second time in three months that De Finizio had scaled the dome.
His previous protest at St. Peter's in July lasted only four hours, he said, and nothing came of it.
He also spent three nights on a 70-metre-tall (230-foot) metal structure in Trieste earlier this year, and said a judge cleared him of charges of causing an alarm.

STORYLINE:
The Christmas season began at the Vatican on Friday with the traditional lighting of the tree in St. Peter's Square.
Giuseppe Sciacca, the secretary-general of the Governatorate of Vatican City State, said that the tree and the Nativity scene, create "a sensitive atmosphere that helps to concentrate, reflect and pray".
Friday marked the start of a busy Christmas season for Pope Benedict XVI that will culminate with Mass on Christmas Eve in St. Peter's Basilica.
He will follow that with a speech on Christmas Day and another Mass on New Year's Day to mark the Catholic Church's world day of peace.
The Vatican also released the pope's peace message, in which he called for policymakers to think of themselves as peacemakers in economic and social policy.
He warned that abortion and gay marriage were threats to peace.
Benedict also renewed his call for a new world financial order guided by ethical and moral decisions, saying the profit-at-all-cost mentality of the past was selfish and destructive.

Four women went topless in Saint Peter's Square on Sunday to protest against the Vatican's opposition to gay marriage.
Police quickly took the women away, and the Pope appeared not to have been disturbed as he delivered his traditional Angelus prayer from his studio window overlooking the piazza.
On their bare backs and chests, the women had painted slogans "In Gay We Trust," and "Shut Up."
One of them, Inna Shevchenko, said: "Today we are here to protest against homophobia."
The Pope did not comment on the event.
On Saturday, the Vatican pressed its opposition to gay marriage, insisting that children should grow up with a father and a mother after Italy's high court upheld a lower court ruling and granted custody of a child to his gay mother.
The Vatican has ratcheted up its opposition to gay marriage in the face of gains by its supporters in the US and Europe.
Last month, Pope Benedict XVI dedicated his annual speech to the Vatican government to the issue, saying gender theory was blurring the lines between male and female and contributing to the current crisis in families.
The small Sunday demonstration coincided with a march in Paris that is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of people to protest the French President's plan to legalise gay marriage and let gay couples adopt children.
French Catholic bishops and other religious leaders have strongly opposed the proposal, and the Vatican has backed them.

Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the square almost 100 years later, including the massive Tuscan colonnades, four columns deep, which embrace visitors in "the maternal arms of Mother Church." A granite fountain constructed by Bernini in 1675 matches another fountain designed by Carlo Maderno in 1613. St. Peter's Square within Vatican City

Crowds gathered in the St Peter's Square on Saturday ahead of tomorrow's canonisation of John XXIII and John Paul II.
Some pilgrims slept overnight in sleeping bags, with more expected on Saturday night, as crowds look to find the best spot for Sunday's event.
Red Cross workers were also in attendance on Saturday, setting up medical tents and preparing for the influx of people.

Hundreds of thousands of people filled St. Peter's Square Sunday for a historic day of four popes, with Francis and Benedict XVI honouring their predecessors John XXIII and John Paul II and declaring them saints in the first ever canonisation of two pontiffs.
Polish pilgrims carrying the red and white flags of John Paul's beloved homeland were among the first to push into the square well before sunrise, as the human chains of neon-vested civil protection workers trying to maintain order finally gave up and let them in.
Italy's interior ministry predicted 1 (m) million would watch the Mass from the square, the streets surrounding it and nearby piazzas where giant TV screens were set up to accommodate the crowds eager to follow along.

Thousands of pilgrims were packed into a street leading up to Saint Peter's Square in the Vatican in the early hours of Sunday, ahead of the canonisation of Popes John Paul II and Pope John XXIII.
Holding flags and signs they were spending the night on the Via della Conciliazione, which leads up to Saint Peter's Square, hoping to be among the first to enter the sprawling, cobble-stoned space when it opens to the public at 5:30 a.m. (0330 GMT), or four hours before the start of the ceremony.
One (m) million people are expected to flood into Rome for the event, according to the Italian Interior Ministry.

Pilgrims began pouring into Saint Peter's Square early on Sunday as the space opened to the public for the canonisation ceremony of late Popes John XXIII and John Paul II.
Many had been waiting overnight for the opening of the access gates at 5:30 a.m. (0330 GMT) in order to secure the best spots in the square on Sunday, where more than 200-thousand faithful are expected.
The traffic at Rome's "San Pietro" rail station has been very intense all night as trains from every part of Italy and from across Europe, particularly from Poland, have been arriving loaded with pilgrims eager to attend the historical event.
