This campaign is for Speak Mandarin in Singapore done by the creative hot-shop, 10AM which is part of the Bates 141 Group. It marks the 30th year of the Speak Mandarin campaign launched by Lee Kwan Yew three decades ago. They say you should never work with kids or pets, but Lim Sau Hoongs deft touch brings out the best performance from the kids. There were many versions with kids of all backgrounds.
The power of this campaign was using non-Singaporean kids who were able to tell a story in Mandarin as a key driver for Singaporean children and parents to lift their learning standards of Mandarin. This campaign had a large on-line and off-line activation component which has helped drive more Mandarin learning programs, but it is the quality and simplicity of the core idea that stimulates the whole program.

This campaign is for Speak Mandarin in Singapore done by the creative hot-shop, 10AM which is part of the Bates 141 Group. It marks the 30th year of the Speak Mandarin campaign launched by Lee Kwan Yew three decades ago. They say you should never work with kids or pets, but Lim Sau Hoongs deft touch brings out the best performance from the kids. There were many versions with kids of all backgrounds.
The power of this campaign was using non-Singaporean kids who were able to tell a story in Mandarin as a key driver for Singaporean children and parents to lift their learning standards of Mandarin. This campaign had a large on-line and off-line activation component which has helped drive more Mandarin learning programs, but it is the quality and simplicity of the core idea that stimulates the whole program.
