Voice acting is the art of providing voices for animated characters (including those in feature films, television programs, animated short films, and video games) and radio and audio dramas and comedy, as well as doing voice-overs in radio and television commercials, audio dramas, dubbed foreign language films, video games, puppet shows, and amusement rides.
Performers are called voice actors/actresses, voice artists or simply voice talent, and their roles may also involve singing, although a second voice actor is sometimes cast as the character's singing voice. Voice artists are also used to record the individual sample fragments played back by a computer in an automated announcement. At its simplest, this is just a short phrase which is played back as necessary, e.g. the Mind the gap announcement introduced by London Underground in 1969. In a more complicated system such as a speaking clock, the voice artist usually doesn't actually record 1440 different announcements, one for each minute of the day, or even 60 (one for each minute of the hour), instead the announcement is re-assembled from fragments such as "minutes past" "eighteen" and "pm." For example, the word "twelve" can be used for both "Twelve O'Clock" and "Six Twelve." For some automated applications, such as London Underground's Mind the gap announcement, the sound of a voice artist may be preferred over synthesized voices because the human voices sound more natural to the listener.

Thomas James "Tom" Kenny (born July 13, 1962) is an American actor, voice actor, and comedian. He is known for his long-running-role as SpongeBob SquarePants in the television series of the same name, as well as the live-action character Patchy the Pirate, Gary the Snail and the French narrator based on Jacques Cousteau. He is also the Mayor and narrator of Cartoon Network's The Powerpuff Girls and ScoutMaster Lumpus and Slinkman from Camp Lazlo. Aside from voice acting, Kenny starred in the short-lived Fox sketch show The Edge and was a cast member of the HBO sketch comedy program Mr. Show, where he worked with his wife, Jill Talley. He is also known for being one of the longest-working voice actors to voice Spyro in the Spyro the Dragon series. He voiced Spyro three times, followed by Elijah Wood who voiced Spyro on the same number of instances. Later in 2011, the role of Spyro was passed on to Josh Keaton in: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.
He currently voices the Ice King in the Cartoon Network animated series Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, and voices additional characters on Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. He also voices Quantum Ray in Cosmic Quantum Ray and Plastic Man in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. As of 2007, he hosted the TV show Funday Night at the Movies on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) which encourages children to watch old movies.

Seth Woobury MacFarlane (born October 26, 1973) is an American actor, voice actor, animator, screenwriter, comedian, producer, director and singer. He created the animated sitcom Family Guy and co-created American Dad! and The Cleveland Show, for which he also voices many of the shows' various characters.
A native of Kent, Connecticut, MacFarlane is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied animation, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He was an animator and writer for Hanna-Barbera for several television shows, including Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory and I Am Weasel, before creating his own series for 20th Century Fox entitled Family Guy in 1999. MacFarlane went on to co-create American Dad! in 2005, and The Cleveland Show in 2009 for Fox. He also went on to serve as executive producer on the Fox sitcom The Winner.
As an actor, he has made guest appearances on shows such as Gilmore Girls, The War at Home and FlashForward. MacFarlane's interest in science fiction and fantasy has led to cameo and guest appearances on Star Trek: Enterprise and voicing the character of Johann Kraus in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy II: The Golden Army. In 2008, he created his own YouTube series entitled Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy. As a singer, MacFarlane has performed at several venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.

I recorded it this afternoon because someone on twitter gave me this idea and I wanted to do stuff like this. It doesnt seem that powerful, but I broke my voice for this voice acting, because there are some "grawl" parts in it, eveything is so high, and since I repeated all the sentences at least 5 times during my recording, it killed me slowly... Voice acting are always fun, but so hard Q_Q I was like "so easy to repeat "desu desu"" all the time but the emotion in those "desu" has to be different everytime -

PS: LE NOM DE L'ANIME EST EN DERNIERE LIGNE DE DESCRIPTION.
EN: Here is a totally unexpected video! I recorded it this afternoon because someone on twitter gave me this idea and I wanted to do stuff like this.
It doesnt seem that powerful, but I broke my voice for this voice acting, because there are some "grawl" parts in it, eveything is so high, and since I repeated all the sentences at least 5 times during my recording, it killed me slowly... Voice acting are always fun, but so hard Q_Q I was like "so easy to repeat "desu desu"" all the time but the emotion in those "desu" has to be different everytime and not sounding weird!
But I hope you will enjoy!

C'est vrai que ça n'a pas l'air très powerful comme ça, mais ça m'a complètement pété la voix x.x Parce qu'il y a pas mal de petites parties avec des "grawl" (une espèce de... "grondement/roulement" avec la gorge pendant le parlé), l'ensemble est très aigu... et comme j'ai répété chacun des passages au moins 5 fois pour être sûre d'avoir l'émotion qu'il fallait, et bééh, ça m'a lentement... tué. xD
Faire du voice acting c'est toujours amusant mais c'est plus dur que ça en a l'air Q_Q Au début j'étais genre "trop facile de juste faire "desu desu" tout le long de la chanson" et en fait, il y a une émotion particulière et différente à adopter pour chaque mot, sinon ça rend très bizarre... donc voilà!

The voice-acting in Apocalypse sounds like someone is pressing random buttons on a Bruce Willis soundboard. And you can tell by his over the top delivery that he wasn't quite sure what he was doing either.
4. Christopher Walken - True Crime: Streets Of L.A.
There’s something about Christopher Walken’s distinct style of speech that's instantly recognisable. But Walken kicks it up one notch too many when he did the voiceover for the narrator in True Crime: Streets of LA. It sounds like he’s trying to do an impersonation of himself.

The Islamic State group is claiming responsibility for bringing down the Russian Metrojet plane in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula — but it has have offered no evidence and is not known to have the capability to do so. It is not clear what caused the plane crash Saturday morning that killed 224 people on the flight from Egypt to St. Petersburg ... The Metrojet crashed in an area where Egyptian forces have been battling an Islamic insurgency....

Way back in the December of 1992, developer Game Arts created a magnificent RPG for the not-so-popular Sega CD called Lunar. Silver Star ... Lunar ... the beastmen and the humans ... Dragon Song has static cut-scenes with text, as opposed to the animated cinemas replete with voice acting from the older titles. This takes a lot away from the Lunar feel, since animated cut-scenes and voice acting were key features that helped define the series ... ....

I will never forget when the demo for the first tony hawk came out for the playstation one, as it was one of those pinnacle moments when you knew that there was something in store for the future of the game ... Said adaptation comes complete with a full voice cast and musical accompaniment, making it an audio-drama as opposed to a simple audiobook ...
