The Baikal seal, Lake Baikal seal, or Nerpa (Pusa sibirica, obsolete: Phoca sibirica), is a species of earless seal endemic to Lake Baikal in Siberia. Like the Caspian seal, they are related to the Arctic ringed seal. The Baikal Seal is the smallest of the true seals and is the only exclusively freshwater pinniped species.[2]
It remains a scientific mystery how the seals originally came to Lake Ba

Tyumen is one of the oldest settlings in Siberia and is there located in the West. It's quite diffucult to state, whether it already belongs to the Asian part of Russia or more to the European one. Infrastructure of the town and the landscape around look quite European. While traditionally, the whole Siberian area is considered being the Russian area of Asia.
The landscape type is represented by the West Siberian Plain. Steppe, mixed forests and watery areas surround the town.
The footage shows mainly impressions from the historical city, which is characterized by partly old wooden historical buildings and churches, such as a famous Mosque and orthodox buildings.
The colors, even in the autumn are quite different to those I know from Berlin or other areas in the world. The sun is even in this season quite intense, when it appears. Dust on the streets and on cars is a typical unique impression of that fascinating area.

Siberia (/saɪˈbɪəriə/; Russian: Сиби́рь, tr. Sibir', IPA: [sʲɪˈbʲirʲ] ( listen)) is an extensive geographical region constituting almost all of North Asia. The region has been part of Russia since 17th century. The territory of Siberia extends eastward from the Ural Mountains to the watershed between the Pacific and Arctic drainage basins. Siberia stretches southward from the Arctic Ocean to the hills of north-central Kazakhstan, then to the national borders of Mongolia and China.[1] Siberia makes up about 77% of Russia's territory (13.1 million square kilometres), but is home to only 28% (40 million people) of Russia's population.
With an area of 13.1 million km² (5.1 million square miles), Siberia takes up roughly 77% of Russia's total territory. Major geographical zones include the West Siberian Plain and the Central Siberian Plateau. Siberia covers almost 10% of Earth's land surface (148,940,000 km²).
Eastern and central Sakha comprise numerous North-South mountain ranges of various ages. These mountains extend up to almost three thousand meters in elevation, but above a few hundred meters they are almost completely devoid of vegetation. The Verkhoyansk Range was extensively glaciated in the Pleistocene, but the climate was too dry for glaciation to extend to low elevations. At these low elevations are numerous valleys, many of them deep, and covered with larch forest, except in the extreme North, where the tundra dominates. Soils are mainly turbels. The active layer tends to be less than one meter deep, except near rivers.
The highest point in Siberia is the active volcano Klyuchevskaya Sopka, on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Its peak is at 4,649 meters (15,253 ft).
The West Siberian Plain consists mostly of Cenozoic alluvial deposits and is somewhat flat. Many deposits on this plain result from ice dams. The flow of the Ob and Yenisei Rivers was reversed, so they were redirected into the Caspian Sea (perhaps the Aral as well). The area is very swampy and soils are mostly peaty Histosols and, in the treeless northern part, Histels. In the south of the plain, where permafrost is largely absent, rich grasslands that are an extension of the Kazakh Steppe formed the original vegetation - most of it is not visible anymore Insurance Loans Mortgage Attorney Credit Lawyer Donate Degree Hosting Claim.
The Central Siberian Plateau is an extremely ancient craton (sometimes named Angaraland) that formed an independent continent before the Permian (see Siberia (continent)). It is exceptionally rich in minerals, containing large deposits of gold, diamonds, and ores of manganese, lead, zinc, nickel, cobalt and molybdenum. Much of the area includes the Siberian Traps which is a large igneous province. The massive eruptive period was approximately coincident with the Permian--Triassic extinction event. The volcanic event is said to be the largest known volcanic eruption in Earth's history. Only the extreme northwest was glaciated during the Quaternary, but almost all is under exceptionally deep permafrost and the only tree that can thrive, despite the warm summers, is the deciduous Siberian Larch (Larix sibirica) with its very shallow roots. Outside the extreme northwest, the taiga is dominant; in fact, taiga covers a significant fraction of the entirety of Siberia.[20] Soils here are mainly Turbels, giving way to Spodosols where the active layer becomes thicker and the ice content lower.

Siberia is a comprehensive geographic area, and also by the widest definition is additionally referred to as North Asia. Siberia has been historically part of Russia considering that the 17th century.
The area of Siberia prolongs eastwards from the Ural Mountains to the watershed in between the Pacific and also Arctic drainage basins. Siberia flexes southwards from the Arctic Ocean to capitals of north-central Kazakhstan and to the national borders of Mongolia and China. With a location of 13.1 million square kilometres, Siberia accounts for 77 % of Russia's acreage, however it is the home of merely 40 million people-- 27 % of the country's populace. This is equivalent to an average population density of about 3 occupants per square kilometre (about equal to that of Australia), making Siberia among the most sparsely inhabited regions in the world.
With a location of 13.1 million kilometres ² (5.1 million square miles), Siberia uses up approximately 77 % of Russia's overall area. Major geographic zones consist of the West Siberian Level and the Central Siberian Plateau. Siberia covers virtually 10 % of Planet's land area (148,940,000 kilometres ²). While Siberia falls entirely within Asia, several authorities such as the UN geoscheme will not subdivide nations as well as will position all of Russia as part of Europe and/or Eastern Europe.
Eastern and also central Sakha consist of various north-south chain of mountains of different ages. These mountains extend up to nearly 3,000 metres (9,800 ft), however above a couple of hundred meters they are almost entirely devoid of plants. The Verkhoyansk Variety was thoroughly glaciated in the Pleistocene, however the environment was also dry for glaciation to extend to low elevations. At these low elevations are numerous valleys, a number of them deep as well as covered with larch forest, other than in the severe North where the expanse dominates. Dirts are mostly turbels (a type of gelisol). The active layer has the tendency to be less than one meter deep, other than near rivers.
The acme in Siberia is the energetic volcano Klyuchevskaya Sopka, on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Its peak is at 4,649 meters (15,253 ft).
The West Siberian Plain is composed mostly of Cenozoic alluvial deposits and is somewhat standard. Lots of down payments on this plain arise from ice dams which produced a big glacial lake. This mid- to late-Pleistocene lake obstructed the northward flow of the Ob and also Yenisei rivers, resulting in a redirection southwest right into the Caspian and Aral seas by means of the Turgai Valley. [23] The area is really swampy, as well as soils are primarily peaty histosols and also, in the treeless north component, histels. In the south of the level, where permafrost is mostly absent, rich meadows that are an extension of the Kazakh Steppe developed the original plants, a lot of which is not visible anymore.

It remains a scientific mystery how the seals originally came to Lake Baikal, hundreds of kilometers from any ocean. Some scientists speculate the seals arrived at Lake Baikal when a sea-passage linked the lake with the Arctic Ocean (see also West Siberian Glacial Lake and West Siberian Plain).
The total population is estimated to be over 60,000 animals, and hunting of the seals, once widespread, is now restricted. Many hunters drown every year hunting the Baikal seal

Russia is the world's largest country and spans almost the entire northern super continent of Eurasia : occupies Northern Asia (1/3 of the continental total) and eastern Europe -respectively, 74.7% and 25.3% of its territory. It is separated from the American continent by the Bering Strait. Because of its size, Russia displays both monotony and diversity and as its geography, climate, vegetation and soil cover large distances.
Located in the northern and middle latitudes of the northern hemisphere, most of the Russian Federation is much closer to the North Pole that of Ecuador. In a country comparisons are of little value, but not in Russia with its huge size and diversity. The border of the Russian Federation is the longest in the world and is a major source of concern for national security in the post-Soviet era period. Throughout the 20,139 kilometers of land border, Russia has borders with fourteen countries, eight of which did not exist as countries until the early 1990. Furthermore, in its northeast end, only eighty-six kilometers of the Bering Strait separating Russia fifteenth neighbor, the United States.
The East European Plain covers much of European Russia. The West Siberian Plain, which is the world's largest, stretches eastward from the Urals to the Yenisei River. Because the terrain and vegetation are relatively uniform in each of the natural areas, Russia presents an illusion of uniformity. However, the Russian territory has representation from all major vegetation zones in the world, except for the rain forest.
The Ural Mountains are the best-known mountain range in the country, because they form the natural border between Europe and Asia. The mountain range stretches some 2,500 km from the northern border of Kazakhstan to the Arctic Ocean. 68% of the Ural mountains in Russia, while the remaining 32% belongs to Kazakhstan. Geographers have traditionally divided the Urals into five regions: South, East, North, Subarctic and Arctic. The tree line drops from 1400 meters to sea level as it advances northward.
In the mountain range west of Lake Baikal, in the south-central Siberia, the highest elevations are 3,300 m in the western part of the Sayan mountains, 3,200 m in the eastern part of the Sayan, and the 4,506 m of Mount Belukha in the Altai Mountains. The Eastern Sayan comes close to the southern shore of Lake Baikal; on the lake, there is a difference in elevation of more than 4,500 m from the nearest mountain, 2,840 meters high, and the deepest part of the lake, which is 1,700 m below sea level. The mountain ranges east of Lake Baikal are lower, forming a complex of lower wisdom teeth and valleys ranging from the lake to the Pacific coast. The maximum height is given in the Stanovoi mountains (Mount Skalisty, 2,482 m), extending from west to east, from the north of Lake Baikal to the Sea of Okhotsk. South of this mountain range is southeastern Siberia, whose mountain peaks reach 800 m. Crossing the Strait of Tartary is the island of Sakhalin, whose highest point is Mount Lopatin (1,609 m).
The truly alpine terrain appears in the southern mountains of the Caucasus, between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, the natural border between Europe and Asia, with stunning heights, a great, almost insurmountable geographical barrier, with few steps between Russia and its neighbors Southwest, Georgia and Azerbaijan. It is a great mountain range located between the river basins of Kuban and Terek River in northern Anatolia, and Iran river to the south.
Northeastern Siberia, north of the Stanovoy range, is a very mountainous region. The long peninsula of Kamchatka, reaching south to the Sea of Okhotsk, includes many volcanic peaks, some of them still active. The higher the Kliuchevskoi (4750 m), the highest point in the Russian Far East. The volcanic chain continues from southern Kamchatka end southward through the Kuril Islands chain and Japan. Kamchatka is also one of the two centers of seismic activity in the Russian Federation.
Most of the Russian Federation consists of two plains -the East European Plain and the West Siberian Plain - two lowlands -the North of Siberia and Kolyma, in the northeast corner of Siberia two plateaus, the Central Siberian Plateau and Lena plateau.

As of May 1, 2013 the population of the area is 578 645 people
North-Kazakhstan region was established in 1936. The area of the region is 97,99 thousand square kilometers, accounting for 3.6% of the area of the republic. The center of the region is Petropavlovsk, established in 1752.
There are 13 rural districts, 1 town under regional jurisdiction, 4 towns under the district jurisdiction, and 202 rural areas in this region.
North-Kazakhstan region is located in the very north of Kazakhstan, but physically and geographically - on the southern skirts of the West Siberian Plain and partially - in the territory of the Kazakh Hummocks (Sary-Arka). The territory of the region borders on Kurgan, Tyumen and Omsk regions of the Russian Federation in the north, Akmola region of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the south, and Kostanay and Pavlodar regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the west and in the east, respectively.
The major part of the region is located on the southern skirts of the West Siberian Plain, where the level of surface does not exceed 200 meters, and is related to ancient-laky Neogene plateaus, occupying the large spaces between the valleys of the Tobol and Irtysh Rivers. The interfluves of this area are from the surface folded of clay rocks of the Neogene age and lake origin. In the south-eastern part of the region there is a system of large closed depressions of salt lakes: Kalibek, Ulken-Karoi, Teke and Seletyteniz. The plain part of the region territorially corresponds to the West Siberian plate of young epi-Hercynian platform, where folded basement is sunk under the sedimentary rocks of cover. The relief of the region is characterized by low roughness, undulation and continuous gradient of the surface to the north and north-east.

Várpalota észak-nyugati határában a garázssor felett nagy kiterjedésű tavaszi hérics mező található
Egyenes szárú, 20--50 cm magas évelő. Feketés, vaskos gyöktörzse van, ebből vékony, elágazó gyökerek indulnak. Levelei ülők, 2-4-szeresen szeldeltek 5 mm-nél hosszabb sallangokra, emiatt a növény borzos kinézetű.

English/Nat
A 5-thousand year old mummy found preserved in Siberian ice has gone on display for the first time in Seoul, South Korea.
The mummy is believed to have been an upper class woman, who was buried in a tomb surround by treasure around 3-thousand years B.C.
Archaeologists who called the discovery of the woman mummy historic are now excavating other sites in Siberia.
On the second floor of the National Museum in Seoul, there are two galleries where the visitors have the chance to glimpse at the forgotten culture of the ancient Altaic race, dating back to 3-thousand BC.
Altai refers to a region around the Altai Mountains in central Asia from the Gobi to the West Siberian Plain. It borders Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China.
There are two galleries, the Folklore and Ice Lady room.
In the Folklore room are some 300 relics of the Hun, Turk and more recent tribes, discovered in the Ukok plateau.
On display are carpets, bronze amulets, vessels for araka or milk vodka, saddles and costumes.
Discovered in 1993, the body had been preserved for more than 5-thousand years, frozen in the Ak-Alakha III tomb at the Ukok plateau of Altai.
Tattoos and goose bumps on her skin remain visible.
The tattoos of mystic animal designs on her shoulder, arms and fingers are amazingly delicate.
Experts presume the ice lady was of the noble class and may have been
a female priestess due to the accessories buried with her and her body art.
Scientists are particularly pleased about the discovery because it's the first time that a mummified woman of such antiquity has been discovered.
They say the reason the body is so well-preserved is because it was buried deep beneath a pile of stones which let water seep in to the grave. The body then became entombed in ice.
SOUNDBITE:
"Sometimes scientists found pure ice here, but it was a very rare occurrence. Natasha (the archaeologist) who excavated this tomb, found a real frozen chamber. What can I compare it to? It's possible to compare it to a glass of water that has been frozen in the open air. That's why it contains microbes and fungus and so on and particles of air. And we get an incredible amount of information about the environment and about everything. Of course this ice is a good conservator for "ladies."
SUPER CAPTION: Dr. Alexander I. Soloviev, archaeologist.
The work on the site has been going on for some time, and scientists say there is still more to be done.
SOUNDBITE:
"After fifteen years of very heavy work and as a result of incredible luck, we have found other small tombs in other valleys which contain other mummified bodies of women. This one is the first so called " lady."
SUPER CAPTION: Dr. Alexander I. Soloviev, archaeologist.
The ice lady died in her mid twenties from natural causes. However, more research must be done to determine other biological details.
Visitors often lay flowers at the exhibit, moved by such a discovery. Archaeologist consider her lucky. Not so much for her life, which they can only guess at, but for what she can reveal of history.

wn.com/South Korea 5 Thousand Year Old Siberian Mummy Goes On Display

The Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India is a famous avifauna sanctuary that plays host to thousands of birds especially during the summer season. Over 230 species of birds are known to have made the National Park their home. It is also a major tourist centre with scores of ornithologists arriving here in the hibernal season. It was declared a protected sanctuary in 1971. It is also a declared World Heritage Site.
Keoladeo Ghana National Park is a man-made and man-managed wetland and one of the national parks of India. The reserve protects Bharatpur from frequent floods, provides grazing grounds for village cattle and earlier was primarily used as a waterfowl hunting ground. The 29 km2 (11 sq mi) reserve is locally known as Ghana, and is a mosaic of dry grasslands, woodlands, woodland swamps, and wetlands. These diverse habitats are home to 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snakes, 5 species of lizards, 7 amphibian species,7 turtle species, and a variety of other invertebrates. Every year thousands of migratory waterfowl visit the park for wintering breeding etc. The Sanctuary is one of the richest bird areas in the world. It is known for nesting of its resident birds and visiting migratory birds including water birds. The rare Siberian cranes used to winter in this park but this central population of Siberian Cranes is now extinct. According to Sir Peter Scott Keoladeo Sanctuary is the world's best bird area.
Geography Keoladeo National Park
============================
Keoladeo (Bharatpur) National Park (27°10'N, 77°31'E) is a World Heritage Site situated in eastern Rajasthan. The park is 2 kilometers (km) south-east of Bharatpur and 50 km west of Agra. The Park is spread over approx 29 square kilometer area. One third of the Keoladeo National Park habitat is wetland systems with varying types of microhabitats having trees, mounds, dykes and open water with or without submerged or emergent plants. The uplands have grasslands (savannas) of tall species of grass together with scattered trees and shrubs present in varying density.
A similar habitat with short grasses, such as Cynodon dactylon and Dicanthium annulatum also exists. Woodlands with thickets of huge Kadam trees (Neolamarckia cadamba) are distributed in scattered pockets. Richness and diversity of plant life inside the Park is remarkable. The Park's flora consists of 379 species of flowering plants of which 96 are wetland species. The Wetland is a part of the Indo-Gangetic Great Plains.
In an area characterized by sparse vegetation, the park is the only spot which has dense vegetation and trees. The principal vegetation types are tropical dry deciduous forests intermixed with dry grasslands. Where the forest has degraded, the greater part of the area is covered with shrubs and medium sized trees. The park is a fresh water swamp and is flooded during the monsoon. For most part of the year, effective wetland is only 10 km2. The rest of the area remains dry.
Dykes divide the wetland into ten units. Each unit has a system of sluice gates to control its water level. Depth of water ranges from 1 metre to 2 metre during rains (July, August and September). In subsequent months, October to January, the level gets lowered. The area starts drying from February. In May and June, the entire area dries. Water remains only in some depressions. This alternate wetting and drying helps to maintain the ecology of the fresh water swamp, ideal for water-fowl and resident water birds. Arrangement to pump water from deep tube wells to fill small depressions to save seeds, spores and other aquatic life also exist. They are also helpful in extreme years of drought.

My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

The 11 options below showcase the best aerial tours of Africa.
1. Huey helicopter flights at Victoria Falls (Zambia)
Based in Livingstone on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls (the falls form a border between Zambia and Zimbabwe), United Air Charters introduced 20-minute flights in a "Huey" helicopter -- the widely used military helicopter -- in 2013 as a radical way to experience Africa's largest waterfall.
2. Private flying safari (Namibia, Botswana)
Little trumps the glamor of a private flying safari in southern Africa, which takes visitors over the Kalahari Desert and Okavango Delta and delivers them to some of the most exclusive and expensive safari camps on the continent.
3. Table Mountain Cableway (South Africa)
Table Mountain Cableway opened in 1929 as a vertigo-inducing way to rise from Cape Town to the 1,084-meter (3,558-foot) summit of the giant, flat-topped peak.
In the late 1990s, the vintage cable cars were replaced by new pods that can carry 65 passengers and rotate 360 degrees.
4. Nile High Bungee (Uganda)
It took European explorers hundreds of years to come into contact with the source of the Nile.
Now it can be done in a matter of seconds at Nile High Bungee.
Located in the town of Jinja near the spot where the Lake Victoria turns into the world's longest river, the jump is 44 meters (144 feet) from platform to water.
5. Skydiving (Kenya)
An hour's drive south of Mombasa, Skydive Diani offers a year-round slate of tandem skydives, full training courses and solo jumps for qualified skydivers.
Most jumps are over a permanent drop zone at Diani Beach, but the company runs tandem operations on the coasts of Malindi and Kilifi and in the central highlands outside Nairobi.
6. Climbing the West Face at Mulanje (Malawi)
Rising 1,700 meters (5,500 feet), the hulking West Face of Chambe peak on the Mulanje Massif is one of Africa's greatest rock-climbing challenges.
The wall features two distinct sections -- a 610-meter (2,000-feet) Lower Face and a 1,067-meter (3,500-feet) Upper Face.
7. Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania)
8. Busanga Plains hot air balloon trip (Zambia)

TREKKING TOUR IN FAN MOUNTAINS
Tajikistan is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and more than 93% of it is mountainous. Ninety-three percent of Tajikistan's territory is mountainous, and the mountain glaciers are the source of its rivers.
Fan Mountains – a popular tourism and mountain climbing area in Tajikistan. There are about 100 passes in height from 3200 to 5060 m (Mirali). The Fan Mountains are the highest part of Zeravshan range with 11 peaks above 5,000 m with sharp fantastical pointed forms. In the bosom of these mountains are about 30 lakes, the largest of which are Iskandarkul, and the most beautiful and picturesque, famous for the unique play of colors - Kulikalon. On the slopes of the mountains and upper valleys (altitude 3,000 m) – there are thickets of juniper forests, giving the appeal to the valleys of rivers Arg, Sarimat, Karakul and etc. You can see a birch, a poplar, a sea buckthorn in the valleys; well-spread shrubs - wild rose, barberry, currant, meadow-sweet; large areas of the slopes and valleys are covered with meadow, steppe, and semi-desert vegetation (Čair, Eremurus, astragalus, onion, sage, mint, thyme and etc.). Approaches to the passes of Fan Mountains are in the valleys of rivers Shing, Voru, Artuch, Pasrud (in the north) and Iskandar-river and Karakul (in the south). The starting points for the entrances are known Penjikent, Khujand and Dushanbe cities. Fan Mountains were sung by Yuri Vizbor, who was amazed by unusually beautiful scenery of this region. These mountains and countryside have become for him a very special place on the earth. The following lines are dedicated to Fan Mountains by Yuri Vizbor:
I left my heart in the Fan Mountains,
And now heartless I’m walking across the plains.
And in the quiet talks and noisy feasts,
In silence I dream of the blue tops...

China Travel Documentary: Travelling China By Train, Chinese Travel Diary from On Board a Train
Watch as this travel diary takes you on a journey through beautiful Chinese countryside by train, onwards to its final destination inside Beijing City in the Hebei Province. It truly is a beautiful country and that is captured in this inspiring china travel documentary.
Beijing is the second largest Chinese city by urban population after Shanghai and is the nation's political, cultural, and educational center.[9] It is home to the headquarters of most of China's largest state-owned companies, and is a major hub for the national highway, expressway, railway, and high-speed rail networks. The Beijing Capital International Airport is the second busiest in the world by passenger traffic.

Most of central and southern Hebei lies within the North China Plain. The western part of Hebei rises into the Taihang Mountains (Taihang Shan), while the Yan Mountains (Yan Shan) run through northern Hebei, beyond which lie the grasslands of Inner Mongolia. The Great Wall of China cuts through northern Hebei from east to west as well, briefly entering the border of Beijing Municipality, and terminates at the seacoast of Shanhaiguan in northeastern Hebei. The highest peak is Mount Xiaowutai in northwestern Hebei, with an altitude of 2882 m.

Native American Flute Music: Meditation Music for Shamanic Astral Projection, Healing Music
Shamanism is a system for psychic, emotional, and spiritual healing and for exploration, discovery, and knowledge gathering about non-material worlds and states of mind. Shamanism is a "technique of ecstasy" in which the spirit of the shaman leaves the body and travels to communicate with spirit helpers and other beings for the purpose of obtaining knowledge, power, or healing.
Shamanic Astral Projection or Shamanic Journeying is an altered state of consciousness wherein you enter a realm called non-ordinary reality. By journeying you can gather knowledge and perform healing in ways that are not accessible in ordinary waking reality.
How does shamanism work?
Some people think that in shamanic healing journeying, the spirit leaves the body and a person is being healed by spirit helpers. Others think that shamanic journeying allows access to one's own intuition, which may otherwise be drowned out by the prattle of everyday thinking or by anxiety; and that it is a way of engaging a person's subconscious desires for healing.
Shamanic healing may not cure physical or psychological illness, but it may help one gain psychic energy that will allow one better to handle illness. Shamanic healing therefore is best used in conjunction with other treatments, not as a substitute for them.
Connection with a Power Animal
A power animal protects you physically and provides you with emotional support, wisdom, and vital energy. Some people think a power animal is a spirit being that stays with you because it cares for you and enjoys being able to experience life in a physical body. Others think a power animal is a symbol for one's subconscious wisdom. Almost everybody has a power animal; some have several. (Perhaps you had an "invisible animal friend" as a child or have always been fascinated with a particular kind of animal. This animal may be your Power Animal).
A person may, in the course of life, lose contact with the power animal, thereby losing the animal's protection, wisdom, and energy. If you lose contact with your Power Animal, you may feel dispirited, or you may become sick easily.
The Shamanic Astral Projection technique of Power Animal Retrieval can restore a person's connection to a Power Animal. A person can also journey to find his or her own Power Animal. To maintain a connection with your Power Animal, take the time to learn about your animal, learn to feel its presence, communicate with it, and honor it by doing things that it enjoys.
Free flow of emotional and physical energy
Health requires a free flow of energy that one can use to accomplish one's desires in the world. But one's energy can become blocked in various ways.
People who have lost parts of their life essence, who have been ill, who have lost connection with a Power Animal, or who are regularly exposed to emotionally stressful situations are vulnerable to intrusions or "psychic infections" that block a person's connection with self or drain a person's energy.
An intrusion can be thought of either as a foreign energy being that takes up residence in a person's psychic body (a psychic infection), or as a psychic structure (an emotional wall or barrier) that a person built to keep herself safe from harm, but that now is blocking some of his/her energy expression. A person with an intrusion might feel drained or ill, might have aches and pains, might have nightmares or other fears. A shamanic healer can find and remove intrusions and barriers in a healing ritual called extraction.
A sense of purpose
A sense of purpose is necessary to happiness. The person who loves and cares about the world and fellow beings, who wants to make some small part of the universe a better place, has a sense of purpose. A person can find a sense of purpose in life by seeking knowledge and direction through shamanic journeys, divinations, and rituals. One can do this alone, or with a group of people engaged in similar quests. A shamanic healer or counselor can't find another person's purpose, but can help one seek and interpret information.

The Kokshetau National Natural Park was set up in 1996. The area of 1.34,511 hectares, it is located in Zerenda district of Akmola province and Aiyrtau district of North Kazakhstan province. The territory of the National park is covered with low mountain ranges of Kokshetau Upland in the north-western part of the Kazakh Hummocks. The highest point of the Zerenda Mountains is 588 m, of the Imantau Mountains - 661 m, of the Aiyrtau Mountains - 523 m and the Sarymbet Mountain group - 409 m above sea level.
The territory of the park and the adjusting area is full of many beautiful lakes - Zerenda, Imantau, Shaikar etc. Major rivers here are the Tersbutak, Chaglinka, Zhabai, Babykburluk. Multiple temporary streams run down the slopes of the mountains, in lowlands there are springs and swamps.
The main tree species is the pine occupying the bottom, slopes and peaks of low hills and ridges, plains and hollows between hills. Other trees are the birch (warty and downy) and aspen that mix with the pine. One can find here bushes such as juniper, cotoneaster, rose, hawthorn, willow, raspberries, currant. The flora consists of many northern relic plants - ferns, wintergreen, Linnaeus northern, squirrel ear, European start- flower and others. The ladies’-slipper, sundew rotundifolia wintergreen and orchids Fuchs are included in the Red Book of Kazakhstan.
The ungulates living here are Siberian deer, elk, wild boar. In 1983, imported were Askanian deer, which have well acclimatized. Predators inhabiting this nature reserve are wolves, foxes, dog-foxes, badgers, weasels, steppe polecats, martens, minks, lynxes. In recent years, the raccoon dog has migrated here from the northern regions. In the forest, common is the blue hare, in forest edges - brown hares. forests are growing in the mountain slopes of the Tien-Shan, Altai, Zhungar Alatau. These forests
consist of spruce, fir, larch, cedar. Mountainous areas are rich in turf-grass, shrub meadows.
At the inter-mountain high plains of Altai the following shrubs grow: dogrose, hawthorn, honeysuckle and others. The flora of Zhungar Alatau and foothill plains of Tien-Shan Mountains are similar to the desert. There are also many ephemera and ephemeroides (sedge, bluegrass, poppies, tulips, etc.), forests of aspen, birch, wild apple, Loja, hawthorn, etc.
The plains, stretching from the north to the south for 1600 km, are covered by steppe and desert vegetation: Haloxylon, tamarisk (Tamarix), oleaster, heterophyllous poplar (Turanga).
Contemporary Kazakhstan flora is the coniferous and small-leaved forests - riparian forests, shrub, shrub steppe and subtropical plants, herbaceous vegetation takyrs and ephemers of the desert. In geobotanical regard, they occupy the territories of coniferous forest (southern Altai), forest-steppe of Western Siberia (Northern Kazakhstan), the Eurasian steppes (Volga-Ural, Mugodzhary-Turgay, Yesil-Nura, Ulytau-Sarysu, the shores of Zaisan Lake), Asian deserts (Turan lowland, Northern Tien-Shan, Karatau).

2012 August Summer, I went to Inner Mongolia, China for an 8 day vacation.
Inner Mongolia is part of China and the regions where we went were vastly undisturbed by the rapid modernization and growing economy of China. There are huge plains of green grass and beautiful hills. Clean and clear blue skies with white clouds filled the horizon. Animals passed by seemingly in accord with nature. It was an amazing experience and a great place to travel.

The Fifth day of my South America Trip.
This spectacular rail journey begins in the beautiful city of Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca and travels North to historic Cuzco (Cusco)
On the journey, the train makes a gentle climb to higher, and cooler, altitudes. The first half of the journey is dominated by the magnificent Andean mountains which towers over the deep valleys of the meandering Huatanay River. It then reaches the gentler, rolling Andean Plains, where vicuña and alpaca can be seen. If travelling aboard the Andean Explorer, the glass-walled observation car provides the perfect opportunity to view the beautiful scenery.
The journey is broken by a scenic stop at La Raya, which is also the highest point on the route.
Train journey between Cuzco (Cusco) and Lake Titicaca (or vice versa), three-course lunch. In additional to the complimentary lunch a Breakfast Menu, along with various snacks and a continuous Restaurant and Bar service is available at an additional cost.
JOURNEY
Juliaca is the first stop on this journey through Andean highland culture after departing Puno (3,855 meters), an expanding, low-roofed university town spread around an austere cathedral, which, since its foundation in 1668, has strengthened its tenuous grip on the shores of Lake Titicaca by gradually scaling the surrounding hills.
281 Km from Cusco - the train reaches Juliaca, a commercial railway-junction town of around 150,000 inhabitants, whose rampant buying and selling seems at times to virtually spill onto the tracks and force the train to pick its way through their stalls.
186 Km from Cusco - at Marangani, where an English-style manor house built in the last century is still home to the descendents of the wool barons who established the regions only textile factory there more than one hundred years ago, Cuzco's fertile hills give way to the high plain known as the Altiplano.
The train continues to climb for another 27 Km, past the thermal baths at Aguas Calientes to La Raya, 210 Km from Puno. At 4,321 meters above sea level this is the highest point on the journey, a cold, remote place whose surrounding snow-draped peaks are often shrouded by mist or fine rain, and whose eerie silence is at least partly attributable to eardrums blocked by the dizzying altitude. Crossing this great watershed, the train travels across a sea of seemingly-endless coarse grassland through villages lost to time for all but the Coca Cola company and local breweries.
120 Km from Cusco - at Raqchi, just before the San Pedro railway station, the remains of the great temple of Viracocha, the creator god, can just be seen to the left of the train. Raqchi has been described by John Hemming as "probably the largest roofed building ever built by the Incas". Seventeen km beyond San Pedro, the train stops at Sicuani, a bustling island of commerce amid a barren landscape. Aymara women ferry their goods around this important market town on nimbly-chauffeured taxi-tricycles, or sit impassively before their wares awaiting a buyer.
80 Km from Cusco - the two villages of Cusipata and Checacupe (at 99 km) hide unexpected treasures of both pre-Columbian and colonial origin, from fine Inca and pre-Inca remains, to yet another ornately-decorated 17th century church.
59 Km from Cusco - at Urcos lies the lake which gives the village its name. Urcos is both a popular spot for weekenders from Cuzco (Cusco) and as local legend suggests, the repository of Inca gold hidden there forever by local chieftains, anxious to prevent the Spanish from melting down their sacred objects.
45 Km from Cusco - the church at Andahuaylillas is one of the jewels in Cuzco's colonial crown and boasts a magnificent series of murals and superb colonial-era paintings, all on diverse religious themes.
40 Km from Cusco - at Rumicolca, we are close to the great stone gateway of the same name which, for the Incas, silently guarded the southern approach to Cuzco (Cusco). For the much earlier Wari culture it served as an aqueduct, channeling water from the picturesque Laguna de Lucre to their walled city at Pikillacta.
32 Km from Cusco - before reaching Lake Muina, the train turns to the left, crossing the valley road, to join the Vilcanota River at Huambutio as it plunges sharply into its gorge before widening into the great Urubamba canyon.
25 Km from Cusco - the train passes through Oropesa, an early-rising community whose forty-seven bakeries have provided Cuzco (Cusco) with its daily bread for generations.

wn.com/Andean Explorer Train Full Journey From Puno To Cusco
