Waheed Murad
Waheed Murad (Urdu: وحید مراد; 2 October 1938 – 23 November 1983) was a Pakistani film actor, producer and script writer, famous for his charming expressions, attractive personality, tender voice and unusual talent for acting. Waheed is considered as one of the most famous and influential actors of South Asia. He is often referred to as "Chocolaty Hero" or "Chocolate Hero". Born in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, did graduation from S.M. Arts College Karachi, and then masters in English literature from University of Karachi. He started his film career as cameo in 1959 in the film Saathi when he was 21 years old. His naughty facial gestures, bold romanticism and alluring performance style during picturisation of songs made him immensely popular.
One of his films is Armaan, which was produced by him, made a pivotal impact on the sub-continental film industry such that the Pakistani film industry was considered as the rising star and the film made him a superstar overnight. Once, in an interview in 1967, he said that Dilip Kumar, too, was not an immortal actor. Waheed was known as a cheque which could be cashed any where in the country and is the only actor of film industry to secure the highest number of platinum, diamond, golden and silver jubilees. He mesmerized Pakistani nation during 1960's & 1970's more than anyone before or after and is considered to be evergreen chocolate hero of Pakistan's silver screen history. He acted in 125 feature films and earned 32 film awards.

Interview With Legendary Pakistani Actress Shabnam Jharna Basak known by the stage name Shabnam is a Bangladeshi stage and film actress. Actor Waheed Murad introduced her to the Pakistani film industry by offering her a lead role in his film Samundar in 1968. Shabnam remained active in Lollywood in the 1960s, '70s, and '80s. Shabnam was the heroine of longest running film of Lollywood "AAINA" released on 18 March 1977. Aaina completed 400 weeks on Pakistani cinemas from 1977 to 1982.
Around 1988, she switched on to character acting and was again doing films in her native Dhaka and Lahore.
Shabnam lastly performed in movie 'Ammajan,’ directed by Kazi Hayat. She performed in that movie in the central role and it was released in 1999. In 2012 she visited Pakistan along with her husband after 13 years where they were awarded life time acheivement award by Pakistani government.
Shabnam visited Pakistan again on 9 February 2017 after 5 years. Previously she visited in 2012. This is her second visit to Pakistan after she left Pakistani film industry. She participated in Karachi Literary Festival. Shabnam shared her life experiences with anchor Bushra Ansari in session named "PHOOL AUR SHABNAM" held on 11 february 2017.
Shabnam worked in total 160 films, including 152 Urdu films, 14 Bengali and 4 Punjabi films. Her debut film was an East Pakistani Bangali film. Her first Urdu film, i.e., Chanda was also picturised in East Pakistan.
