4 years have passed since the death of Kate, but Gibbs is starting to have doubts about the sequence of events. He discovers that Kate with the complicity of the Director Vance and Doc has staged his death. It took another identity and became inspector at the other end of the country.
Gibbs and Tony go in his quest to discover the truth. The new partner Kate discovers that her identity is not Maura Isle but Caitlin Todd former NCIS agent. The detective led Gibbs and Tony Rizzoli to the interrogation room from which they learn about to ask Kate a dangerous inmate. Shortly after they find her and ask her why she has faked his death. Kate Todd
Kate Todd (born December 12, 1987) is a Canadian actress, singer and songwriter. She's best known for her role as Lily Randall in Radio Free Roscoe and Sally in Life with Derek. She is also known for her continuing role as Erica in the movie and series My Babysitter's a Vampire and has a recurring role in the Canadian drama series The L.A. Complex as Katee.
Biography
Early life
Todd grew up north of Toronto in Innisfil, Ontario, where she attended Nantyr Shores Secondary School, graduating with honors and earning the distinction of receiving a designate Ontario Scholar award. Through her youth she was known as Katie, but changed to Kate when she started acting.
While attending high school Todd tutored French and gained her compulsory community service hours traveling to local schools addressing students on the issues of bullying. Todd has also been involved with the KidsFest Canada charity, a non-government funded program designed to help fight child poverty.
Career
Todd got her acting start at age fourteen when she landed the lead role of Lily Randall on the popular television series Radio Free Roscoe. The show ran for two seasons, received the ‘Best Teen Show’ award and the ‘Parent’s Choice’ award at the New York Worlds Festival in 2003 and a Gemini award in 2005, and continues to be aired in Canada, the United States, and many countries throughout the world.

Caitlin Todd
Special Agent Caitlin "Kate" Todd is a fictional character in the CBS drama NCIS, and was portrayed by actress Sasha Alexander.
She was introduced in the show's first episode "Yankee White", replacing Robyn Lively's character Vivian Blackadder, who had appeared in the JAG Season 8 episodes "Ice Queen" and "Meltdown." Blackadder was written out of the show after test audiences viewing the two episodes reacted very negatively to her, resulting in the character of Kate Todd being created when NCIS went into regular production.
First encountered by the team as a United States Secret Service special agent assigned to the Presidential Protection Detail on Air Force One, she was promptly recruited by senior special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs at the end of the first episode following her resignation from the USSS for breaking the rules about not dating a colleague or having a relationship with them.
She quickly became a key member of the Gibbs-led Major Case Response Team (MCRT) based at the NCIS headquarters in Washington, DC.
