"If current polling is to be believed – and recent election upsets in the UK and Israel have taught pundits to take polls with more than a pinch of salt – then Harper will not hold on to government. After languishing in third place for much of the campaign, the Liberals, led by Justin Trudeau - son of former prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau - seem set to return to power.
The victory will be particularly sweet here in Ajax, where four-term Liberal MP Mark Holland was routed in 2011 by Chris Alexander, formerly Canada’s ambassador to Afghanistan and now a immigration minister in the Conservative government.”*

This is great news for Rebel Media as we are about content and nobody provides more content than Justin Trudeau. I am stunned Canada chose this fool to represent them but there you have it. As a lampooner of absurd politics, I just won the lottery. Canadians, on the other hand, just jumped off a cliff.
When Americans ask me how dumb he is, I say, “He’s not like anyone you met in real life. He’s like a character in a TV show. Like, Joey from Friends. He’s cartoonishly dumb.”
The other amazing thing about Justin is that his entire merit is based on the fact that he’s Pierre Trudeau’s son. Young people assumed Pierre was a good Prime Minister but for those of us who were there, we remember what a complete tool he was. He rammed French and multiculturalism down the entire country’s throat and he spent so much of our money doing it, the dollar never really recovered.
So, the Prime Minister of Canada is incompetent and he was elected because of his father, who was also incompetent. It’s going to be a wild ride.

Justin Trudeau, Canada's Liberal Party end Prime Minister Stephen Harper's rule. Canadians voted for a sweeping change in government Monday, giving Liberal Party leader Justin Trudeau a majority to end the nearly 10-year rule of Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Election returns showed Trudeau's Liberals winning a majority of the 338 seats in Parliament.
Trudeau, 43, the oldest son of the late prime minister Pierre, will become the second youngest prime minister in Canadian history.
“There’s no question that people in this country ... wanted real change,” said Newfoundland Liberal candidate Seamus O’Regan, who ousted the incumbent in his district by a wide margin. The Liberals’ success in Atlantic Canada, he told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. (CBC), was a result of running “a campaign of optimism.”
Voters in Canada had a choice to hand Harper, 56, and his Conservative Party a rare fourth term, or turn left under Trudeau. Pre-election polls gave an edge to Trudeau.
The campaign lasted 11 weeks and was the country's longest and most expensive in more than 140 years.
Trudeau had promised to cut taxes for the middle class, raise taxes on the wealthiest 1% and boost government deficits to stimulate Canada's sluggish economy.
"We have a chance to bring real change to Canada and bring an end to the Harper decade," Trudeau said earlier Monday in Harper's adopted home province of Alberta, traditionally a Conservative stronghold, according to the Associated Press.
Trudeau is a former schoolteacher and member of Parliament since 2008. He and his wife, the former model and television host Sophie Gregoire, have three young children.
Trudeau has proposed improving relations between Canada and the United States. Harper's strong stance in favor of the Keystone XL pipeline that would carry crude from Alberta to Texas has clashed with President Obama's reluctance about the project.
Trudeau supports the pipeline but says relations between the two major trading partners should not hinge on one project.
Harper also clashed with Obama on other issues, including the historic nuclear agreement that the United States and other world powers recently reached with Iran. He has been hawkish on defense, but has been hurt politically by a weak economy this year. Harper tweeted earlier Monday, "Today, I'm asking you to vote Conservative to protect Canadian jobs and our economy," the AP reported.
Harper has nudged the traditionally center-left country to the right, lowering sales and corporate taxes, avoiding climate change legislation and supporting the oil industry against environmentalists. He campaigned on a promise of ensuring "stability, not risk" and cast Trudeau as "just not ready" for higher office. But Trudeau's performances in five debates received strong reviews and a surge in pre-election polls.
Trudeau's iconic father was elected prime minister in 1968 and held the office almost continuously until 1984. The charismatic politician, who was a bachelor when he became prime minister, often drew comparisons to John F. Kennedy. At age 51, he married 22-year-old Margaret Sinclair, who earned notoriety as first lady for partying with the Rolling Stones and at New York's Studio 54, the AP reported. The couple had three sons but divorced when Justin was 6. The boys were raised by their father, who died in 2000.
Canadian election rules allow candidates to win parliamentary districts with a plurality of the vote rather than an outright majority. That makes it possible for a party to win a majority of seats with less than a majority of the national vote.

CANADA ELECTION - Justin Trudeau's Election Night Victory Speech -10/19/2015
Canada's Liberal Party has decisively won parliamentary elections, ending nine years of Conservative rule, partial results show.
The Liberals, led by Justin Trudeau, are leading in 185 electoral districts.
The son of late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau is now poised to form a majority government, Canada's CBC and CTV networks predict.
Incumbent Conservative PM Stephen Harper - whose party is leading in 103 districts - accepted defeat.
Speaking after the polls closed, he said he had already congratulated Mr Trudeau, saying the Conservatives would accept the results "without hesitation".
His party said Mr Harper would resign as leader of the Conservatives.
Addressing his jubilant supporters shortly afterwards, Mr Trudeau said that Canadians "sent a clear message tonight - it's time for a change".
"We beat fear with hope, we beat cynicism with hard work. Most of all we defeated the idea that Canadians should be satisfied with less.
"This is what positive politics can do," he said, also praising Mr Harper for his service to the country.
Meanwhile, the left-leaning New Democratic Party (NDP) is on course to win 41 seats, less than half the number they held in the outgoing parliament.
"I congratulated Mr Trudeau on his exceptional achievement," said NDP leader Tom Mulcair.
To form a majority government, a party needs 170 seats in the 338-member parliament.

OTTAWA, CANADA — Canada just elected its sexiest prime minister to date, and Canadians are not the only ones rejoicing.
The Los Angeles Times reports that three years after beating a Conservative Senator in a charity boxing match, 43-year-old Justin Trudeau knocked out Stephen Harper and his near-decade of Conservative rule.
Despite being the son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, the younger Trudeau was a high school teacher, nightclub bouncer, and snowboard instructor before he came into the political spotlight, according to The Daily Mail.
People took to social media to gush about the impossibly good looking new PM. ABC Australia's James McHale tweeted: "In Canada Justin Trudeau's Liberals elected on a platform of sorry I lost my train of thought he's just so handsome" while @mrbenjaminlaw quipped, "Canada, how is it even legal for your new prime minister to look like this." @blogdiva meanwhile, revised the national anthem to reflect love for the new leader: "OH CANADA, OH CANADA, MY FUTURE HOME AND LAND. TRUE COUGAR LOVE FOR ALL THY HOT PMs COMMAND."
According to CBC, as PM, Trudeau promised to raise taxes for the rich to fund cuts for the middle class. He also plans to build up Canada's infrastructure and foster economic growth over a ten year period, so we trust his ravishingly good looks weren't the only thing that got him the job.
There is no denying that his manly physique was an asset on the campaign trail. But, like those before him, those chiselled looks may start to crumble once the stress of the job starts to take its toll. Still, one point for Canada for giving the political world this fine specimen of leadership.

wn.com/World's Sexiest Politician Justin Trudeau Elected As Canada's New Prime Minister Tomonews

In this European-orientated city on the St. Laurence river, French is the main language. In 1608, Samuel De Champlain established it as a centre for the fur trade. The massive and world famous Chateau Frontenac is the city’s best known landmark. In Montreal, Canada’s second largest city, the massive Basilica, the Oratoire Saint-Joseph, is an important pilgrimage destination and in the charming French-style area of the city which is located between the harbour and the modern banking quarter, numerous old buildings have been restored. Although Montreal is located 1600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country’s interior, to the ocean. In Native American, Toronto means, ‘Meeting Place’ an accurate description for the capital of Ontario Province and Canada’s largest city, a multi-cultural city with giant skyscrapers and noisy streets. Montreal is located in the middle of the St. Lawrence river in southwest Quebec. It is Canada’s second largest city and has the largest population of French speakers outside of Paris.
Here is a Canadian city with a French soul, a big heart and a very hip attitude. A city that enchants visitors with an old-world charm and an unpretentious love of good food and festivals.
The first Europeans to arrive here were from France and while the British later claimed ownership, an elegant sophistication lingers like a perfume.
Order un cafe, stroll the cobblestone streets of the Old City and soak up the history and architecture of the area. Some of the buildings here date back to the 17th century, making it one of the oldest urban areas in North America.
Discover Montreal’s famous food scene. Try Poutine - or, follow your nose to one of the city’s many wood fired ovens and try a real Montreal bagel.
Montreal is also thoroughly hip. The city hosts more than 100 festivals throughout the year but even if you happen to be here between events, there is always something cool going on.
And of course, you can’t leave town without a trip to La Ronde, the city’s beloved amusement park.
As the sun sets on your adventures, head back downtown and discover Montreal after dark. Enjoy cool jazz, smoky blues or wind down with something a little more quirky.
European…Canadian….traditional…. cutting edge. Montreal is all of these things but it is also so much more.
With its french past and funky present, Montreal is a city with a certain je ne sais quoi. A flavour and a feeling that is hard to define but very easy to love.

Welcome to Toronto, the largest city in Canada and a hub of trade and culture.
“The City That Works” is full of a can-do spirit that is reflected in its buildings. From the famous CN Tower to the castle-like Casa Loma, there’s all sorts of eye candy for the architecture enthusiast. Your Toronto tour should include a trip to Edward Gardens in Hyde Park, or one of the many other green spaces located in the city. Take a bike ride along the trails, or enjoy a picnic while the local chipmunks look on. Don’t drop anything; they’ll grab it.
Your Toronto sightseeing can continue at the Harborfront Center. Go for a walk along the marina, or grab a pint at a brewhouse. And no trip to Toronto is complete without a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame, so make sure you’ve got your team paraphernalia in order before you venture inside. Looking for shopping? You’ll find the Underground City and Kensington Market ready to welcome you and your credit card – or several credit cards, as the case may be. After a day of madcap purchasing, why not stock up on fresh, healthy food at the St. Lawrence Market? You’ll have worked up quite an appetite for delicious local produce.
Before you leave, head to Niagara Falls and take in the spectacle of nature’s power. You’ll never forget the sight and sound of all that water pouring over the falls, nor will you ever forget your trip to Toronto.

Niagara Falls has long been a symbol of natural power and beauty. Visit this hallmark of Canadian and American tourism and see its majesty from a helicopter, boat, or walkway.
Your Niagara Falls tour begins with a little bit of information: more than six million cubic feet of water spill over the sides per minute. You can explore three waterfalls, the most famous being the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, which are the widest and most powerful. Take a half-hour boat cruise and bask in the falls’ mist, or enter a special set of walkways behind the falls and see the strength and might of the rushing water right in front of you.
No Niagara Falls sightseeing trip is complete without exploring the Botanical Gardens or Niagara on the Lake. The latter attraction offers boutiques, eateries, and picturesque views of the water you won’t soon forget.

Ottawa is the capital of Canada, and the fourth largest city in the country. Ottawa is situated on the south bank of the Ottawa River, and contains the mouths of the Rideau River and Rideau Canal. The older part of the city (including what remains of Bytown) is known as Lower Town, and occupies an area between the canal and the rivers.
The most important places to visit in Ottawa are: Parliament building (undoubtedly among the most beautiful parliament buildings in the world. It should be a must see for all visitors to Ottawa), Chateau Laurier (now part of a hotel. This famous Ottawa landmark retains much of its grandeur, inside you'll find luxurious settings and ornate decor), Supreme Court of Canada (take a tour of this important building. You can even attend the hearings here), Notre Dame Basilica (constructed in the 19th century this beautiful church is among the surviving churches of Ottawa), Rideau Canal (it's a UNESCO world heritage site. The canals offers excellent views of the city. In winter time, it's transformed into a massive skating rink) and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Ottawa travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Welcome to Ottawa, Ontario, where you’ll find charming old-world buildings surrounded by picturesque natural beauty.
The first stop on an Ottawa tour should be the Rideau Canal. This waterway cuts the city in half, and it provides places for boating and paddleboarding during the summer. Visiting in winter? Not a problem—you can go ice skating along the Rideau when it ices over. On the south side of the river, you can see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Parliament Hill. A few blocks to the north is the National Gallery of Canada, a stunning glass-and-granite building full of art from Canadian, European, and other North American artists.
You’ll be hungry after all this walking around, so head to ByWard Market. If you see beavertails, don’t worry; they’re a pastry, not part of an actual beaver—and they’re delicious. ByWard Market also has some of the best fresh produce you’ll ever taste, so stock up on fruits and vegetables while you’re there.
After sampling the fare at ByWard Market, cross the river to visit the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. This is where you can tour recreations of Old Canada: explore 1800s storefronts, wander into log cabins, and learn about the First Nations people who inhabited Canada for thousands of years prior to European settlement.
Round out your trip with a venture to Gatineau Park, where you can relax by the lake or take tea in the MacKenzie King estate.

http://www.expedia.com/Quebec.d180017.Destination-Travel-Guides
When you arrive in Quebec, you’ll immediately notice its unique combination of old-world architecture, French elegance, and North American friendliness. Throw in a penchant for winter sports and a rich historical past, and you’ll have plenty to do in its capital, Quebec City.
The walled Upper Town is on the to-see list of most Quebec tours. This is part of the historic Old Quebec, first settled by Europeans in 1608. You’ll find a fantastic view of the St. Lawrence River, along with winding streets filled with historic buildings housing restaurants, pubs, and small shops.
Venture out into the oldest retail center on the continent and enjoy a croissant and a coffee, then go for a bike ride along the Old Port. This used to be one of the world’s largest shipping thoroughfares, though now it’s known primarily as a cruise ship destination.
If you’re in the mood to meet some of the local wildlife, head to the Quebec Aquarium, where you can see polar bears, seals, and other animals that inhabit the Arctic. Feeling like reaching great heights? Stop by Montmorency Falls, where you can hike up to an observation point and marvel at the beauty of the natural landscape.
All this walking and hiking will make you hungry, so at dusk, visit Rue St. Paul’s many restaurants to pick out the perfect place for dinner. The city is buzzing late into the night; if you’re up for dancing, a drink, or a cup of coffee after dinner, you’ll be in good company.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada and the provincial capital of Ontario. It is located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. The history of Toronto began in the late 18th century when the British Crown purchased its land from the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The British established a settlement there, called the Town of York, which its lieutenant governor, John Graves Simcoe, designated as the capital of Upper Canada. The city was ransacked in the Battle of York during the War of 1812. In 1834, York was incorporated as a city and renamed Toronto.
The most important places to visit in Toronto are: Niagara Falls (located an hour and a half away from Toronto, awe-inspiring Niagara Falls attracts visitors from around the world), CN Tower (dominating Toronto's skyline, this communication tower stands at a staggering 1,815 feet. Spectacular Toronto views await you at the top), Old City Hall (an important historic landmark of Toronto. It too nearly 20 years to complete its construction in 1899), Royal Ontario Museum (Canada's largest museum of world culture. You can see impressive artifacts and archeological objects from around the world), Casa Loma (a magnificent castle on a hill in the north end of Toronto. Visitors are treated well in restored rooms and gardens) and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. Travel video about destination Montréal in Canada.
Canada's second largest city, Montreal is a fascinating blend of European charm and the American way of life.
In Vieux-Montreal, narrow lanes and small houses recall the past and also the lifestyle of the original settlers. In the old fire station at Place d'Youville - one of the oldest markets in Montreal -- is the Centre d'Histoire in which the 350 year cultural history of the city is on display, from the development of the Irokese Settlement, its prolific fur trade, and right up to today's shining, energetic Metropolis.
Although Montreal is located 1,600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country's interior, to the ocean. A trip on the Saint Lawrence River with the pleasure boat, BATEAU-MOUCHE, contrasts old, historic warehouses with the highly contemporary apartment block of the Cité du Havre Habitat.
Le Tour Olympique, Montreal's "Crooked Tower", offers panoramic views which extend more than 80 kilometres from its 175 metre tall viewing platform. Next to the Olympic Stadium, the Biodome, in which exotic animals from many corners of the world roam among waterfalls and tropical forests.
Next to the gleaming skyscrapers of the inner city, there are museums, churches and art galleries and in the old quarter, there are more historic buildings than in any other North American city, not forgetting the parks and the romantic harbor. Montreal is a gem!

When visiting Montreal consider the following top 35 things to do in Montreal as a travel video guide for all of the best attractions in the city. There is no other city in Canada or the United States of America that can compare with Montreal in terms of its diversity and European flare. As a city of festivals (during the winter, fall, spring and summer) you're left with an inexhaustible amount of things to see and do in the city during all four seasons. Compared to other Canadian cities, Montreal offers world class arts, dining, architecture, entertainment, arts and festivals showcasing the best of Canadian culture and Canadian food. Eating poutine, watching a Montreal Canadiens hockey game for fun and taking in a mesmerizing Cirque du Soleil were the highlights of our visit. If you only have time to one destination in Canada let it be Montréal, Québec:

McGill University is one of the most prestigious universities in all of Canada. Poutine, a French Canadian dish, it is basically french fries with gravy and cheese curds on top. The botanical gardens are home to beautiful gardens. Bell Center is home to the Montreal Canadiens, one of the most celebrated NHL franchises. There is no better place ot eat smoked meat in Montreal than Schwartz. The Notre Dame Basilica is located in the historic district of Old Montreal. If you enjoy checking out graffiti around Saint Catherine street which is also a shopping district. Most of the downtown area is interconnected by underground shopping areas so you don't have to be out in the cold. Parc Lafontaine is located in the borough of Le Plateau Mont-Royal and it's a popular hangout spot on weekends. Le Village is a vibrant neighbourhood which is home to many gay bars and clubs. Eat St. Viateur bagels, which are really famous here in Montreal. This store is so popular that they actually produce twelve thousand bagels a day. A great way to get around the city is by Bixi bike.

Travel video about destination Toronto in Canada.
Toronto is a sensational city. Canada’s ‘secret’ capital: boomtown, show town and financial metropolis, clean, safe and with five million inhabitants.Gigantic skyscrapers and with a frenetic lifestyle, Toronto is where many Canadian banks and multi-national companies have their palatial offices of steel and glass built in what was once a waterfront wilderness. The old City Hall was built in 1899 in Victorian style and consists mainly of sandstone. Its Venetian clock tower faces an array of modern skyscrapers and almost opposite is the futuristic looking new City Hall, a symbol of the city’s cosmopolitan flair. It’s easy to become disorientated in Toronto’s Underground City. Most of this subterranean complex extends beneath the financial district and is the largest of its type in the world with countless shops, restaurants and subway stations. An endless network of corridors and passages connects these vast shopping centres and offices to the Central Business District.Since 1975 the city has possessed a unique monument, the Canadian National Tower or, the C.N.Tower. At a speed of six metres a second four external elevators zoom to the top of the building and it takes only fifty-eight seconds to reach the Skypod platform. The massive Skydome stadium is home to the Blue Jays baseball team. The huge pitch contains a hundred and six rolls of light green turf and is illuminated by more than seven hundred two thousand watt spotlights. The building is multi-functional and has a movable dome that can be opened and closed as necessary depending upon the weather. Niagara Falls, although extremely touristy, is an unforgettable experience. For the adventurous there are bridges and platforms close to the raging waters and the roar of the mighty torrent can be heard from a great distance while the awe-inspiring view of the waterfalls make it easy to forget the surrounding hustle and bustle of fellow sightseers. The Indian meeting place of bygone times has been transformed into a huge city that is a true gem among Canada’s other great cities. Toronto is without a doubt the most multicultural city in the world!

http://bookinghunter.com
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Niagara Falls travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Travel video about destination Vancouver in Canada.
Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada and one of the most beautiful on the American continent, a dynamic metropolis set in a beautiful location with a temperate climate throughout the year.
Close to the harbor area, the city's skyscrapers have proliferated in recent years. The capital of the southwestern province of British Columbia has developed into an economic centre of renown.
The city's oldest buildings were built less than 100 years ago because the former wooden houses of old Vancouver were destroyed by fire. Several buildings reflect the origin of their inhabitants and are similar to those in the United States and Europe.
Inspired by the Colosseum in Rome, an elegant structure of pink stone and glass, Canada Place, is located in the busy centre of the new harbor district and is also the city's most recent landmark. Close by is Harbor Centre, a modern skyscraper complex with a shopping centre and a Skylift to the top floor. A glass elevator transports visitors to a 167-metre high observation platform where the view across the city, harbor and bay is overwhelming.
The exciting Skytrain is the city's most popular means of transport, an ultra-modern train built on posts that zig zags its way through the city. Each of the city's most important destinations are easily accessible and it has reduced the city's traffic problems considerably.
For the World Exhibition of 1986, on the edge of Chinatown, gardeners and craftsmen from Suzhou, China established Canada's first classical Chinese garden, the Doctor Sun Yat Sen Garden. Its ponds, bridges and small pavilions are similar to those in China, masterpieces of Far Eastern garden design.
Everything in Vancouver is youthful, attractive and dynamic, a place in which Canadian politeness unites with the Pacific way of life!

One of the most anticipated features of this year's installment of FIFA is the inclusion of women's teams. With EA Sports bringing back Tournament Mode, I thought that this is the perfect opportunity to showcase the mode and the women's teams by creating the 2GA Women's World Cup, an annual -planned to be annual for now, is subject to change- tournament to determine the best women's footballing nation in the game. The matches have 9-minute halves, and because there is no option to simulate the game while watching it, a coin toss is used to determine which team I will play as. All matches are on Professional difficulty.
DISCLAIMER: I am by no means an expert at this game, so expect some sloppy play.
ALSO: I apologize for any video or audio lag or desynchronization, as it took a while for me to get my GameCapture to run properly.
Group Stage
Group A: France, England, Canada, Spain
Group B: Germany, Sweden, Australia, Mexico
Group C: United States, Brazil, China PR, Italy
The top two finishers in each group and the two best third-place teams advance to the knockout stage.
Knockout Stage
Quarterfinals:

Semifinals:

Prohibition in Northern Canada - VICE INTL (Canada)
Officially founded in 1999, Nunavut is the youngest territory in Canada. It's only been two generations since Canada's stewardship of the land forced the Inuit people out of their semi-nomadic way of life and into a modern sedentary one. But while the introduction of contemporary conveniences seem to have made life more comfortable, the history of Canada in the arctic is mired in tragedy, and the

The Amazing Race Canada Season 2 Episode 1 / What's It Take to Get a Cup of Tea?
The second season of The Amazing Race Canada started in Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park. Teams informed them the winner of the first leg would win the Express Pass when a team may skip it before at the end of Leg 8, with the other Express Pass card to be given to another team before at the end of Leg 5. They were also given their first task: head to Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, and then find Frank King Day Lodge.
At the Canada Olympic Park, teams had to find the 90 metres (300 ft) ski jump and then take North America's fastest zipline – "The Monster" – to receive their next clue, along with a Scotiabank American Express card that would serve as the teams' source of money for the rest of the race, from Olympian Helen Upperton. The clue also told them to travel for their first destination city: Victoria, British Columbia. There were three flights available to the teams, arriving one hour apart.
Upon arriving in Victoria, teams had to head to Viscount Aero Center, where they had to search a vintage 1930's Fleet Model 10D biplane for their Roadblock clue, and the teams asking "Who's ready to jump into this race?". One team member had to make their way to the hangar of the Aero Center, where they would board a plane and then tandem skydive 12,000 feet (3,700 m) with an instructor onto Willows Beach, where they could join their partner. Their instructor would give them their next clue.
The clue after the first Roadblock instructed teams to head to The Empress and had to search for an Arbutus tree to find their next clue, the second Roadblock. The team member did not perform the tandem skydive Roadblock had to serve afternoon tea to the patrons at the Empress Hotel in Victoria. They were given a lesson in etiquette and had to recite the menu options from memory. Once the tea master declared that they had provided "acceptable service", he would hand them their next clue.
The post-Roadblock clue sending teams travel by boat to Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt in Colwood where they became Navy recruits by suiting up to attempt to stop a simulated flooding ship from "sinking" by plugging nine gaps in the ship's hull. Once all nine gaps were plugged, the team received their next clue. There was a miscellaneous task (in an unaired segment) where teams had to wear a firefighter suit and oxygen tank and put out a simulated helicopter fire.[9] The clue received teams from the navy task where they directed to the Pit Stop at Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site.

Leg 12 (Alberta → British Columbia)
During the Pit Stop teams were moved to Art Gallery of Alberta in Downtown Edmonton to start the leg and there they were instructed to fly to Vancouver, British Columbia. Once there, they had to travel to Terry Fox Plaza near BC Place, where they found the clue for the first Roadblock, asking "who wants to roll with it?" While suspended 200 feet above the ground, one team member had to successfully cross a narrow plank (painted with a crooked guide line) between the roof beams on a bicycle to receive their next clue.
The clue received instructed teams to drive themselves 115 kilometres (71 mi) north on Highway 99 (also known as the Sea-to-Sky Highway) to their final destination, Whistler, to search Whistler Olympic Plaza for their next clue. They made their way to Squamish Lil'Wat Cultural Centre, where they had to use a length of string corresponding to the scale found on a large world map to measure the total distance of the 12 legs traveled, in miles: 48,500 kilometres (30,100 mi), then use a whiteboard to convert it to kilometres. If their calculation was within 5% of the correct answer, they would receive their next clue.
The clue received sent teams to Bearfoot Bistro, where each team member would saber off the cork of two champagne bottles, one with a sabre, then one with the base of a champagne flute, to receive their next clue, which contained tickets for the Whistler Village Gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain. There they found the clue for the second Roadblock, asking "who's ready to meet one's match?"
For the first part of this two-part Roadblock, the team member who didn't perform the first Roadblock was given a single ski of specific height and binding size, and had to search among thousands of skis on racks for the one that completes the set, then show it to an instructor. Once they had a matching pair, both team members had to ride the Peak 2 Peak Gondola to Blackcomb Peak and make their way to Momentum Ski Camp. For the second part of the Roadblock, the participating team member had to ski down a ramp and successfully complete a ski jump into a pool to receive their final clue, sending them to the Finish Line at the 12th hole of Nicklaus North Golf Course

Officially founded in 1999, Nunavut is the youngest territory in Canada. It's only been two generations since Canada's stewardship of the land forced the Inuit people out of their semi-nomadic way of life and into a modern sedentary one. But while the introduction of contemporary conveniences seem to have made life more comfortable, the history of Canada in the arctic is mired in tragedy, and the traumatic effects of residential schools and forced relocations are still being felt.
Today, Nunavut is in a state of social crisis: Crime rates are four times the national average and the rates of suicide are more than ten times higher than the rest of Canada.
If you ask people here what the driving force of the problem is, a lot of them will say: alcohol. Even though alcohol is completely illegal in some parts of the territory, it's been reported that 95 percent of police calls are alcohol-related.
