Shí naashá (I am going/walking around) is a Navajo song, composed in 1868 to commemorate the release of the Navajo from internment at Fort Sumner. The song's lyrics express the elation of the Navajo people on the occasion of their return to their homeland. Unlike most other Navajo songs, "Shí naashá" is almost entirely translatable - there are few syllables that can not be replaced with an English word of the same meaning. The text of most Navajo songs is untranslatable. The word hózhǫ́ (beauty) is used throughout the song. Shí Naasha is the Unofficial Navajo National Anthem.:
Femme refers to a type of lesbian culture.

I know its a bit long. You aught to have seen what I cut out of it. Here I describe a few things I know about tempering steel. I talk about annealing, quenching and tempering.

Describes the results." Reupload of a previously uploaded film with improved video & sound. Public domain film from the US National Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and one-pass brightness-contrast-color correction & mild video noise reduction applied. The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). ...

Regular viewers of Team Wild TV will know that we have lots of fun with our guns on our global hunting adventures. But what of the unsung heroes of our travels? None could be more important to us after a clean kill than the knives we use for dressing, skinning, and any other odd jobs out in the field. Today's episode of Team Wild's Academy sees us at RK Knives and Catapults in Nottingham, where Rob Rowley shows us part two of how to make a knife from scratch: tempering the steel.

So, today I am going to show you how to temper chocolate, which is a very complicated-sounding process, but it is actually super easy. I am starting with my dark chocolate pistoles, which are these nice, round chips, but you can use any type of chocolate as long as it is a good quality chocolate that is going to melt down nice and viscous and will set up really nice with a good snap and sheen. That is the point of our tempering process. So, I am going to bring this over to the stove where I have a double boiler. I am going to hop on over. So, I am just melting down this chocolate about two thirds of the wa...
Physically-based simulation of metal tempering is now supported by the 3Delight Metal material. The material simulates a thin oxyde film over the metallic surface and produces beautiful light interference patterns.

Process of Clay Tempering a Tanto Blade (crew: me and a camera on a tripod) Once the steel is shaped as much as possible in its softer state, it is coated with a thin layer of clay along the edge and a thicker layer on the body and spine. During the hardening process, the split second difference in cooling time caused by the clay layer creates two different hardness areas in the same piece of steel. The edge cools faster and forms a very hard steel structure called martensite while the body cools slower and forms a very tough steel structure made of ferrite and pearlite. The boundary between these two areas is called hamon and is commonly seen as a frosted wavy line down the length of a polished sword blade. When the clay is fully dry, a charcoal fire is used to heat the steel slowly and...

Tempered glass, commonly referred to as safety glass, is used in these applications. Glass can be strengthened using a controlled heating and cooling process which will make it more resistant to mechanical and thermal stress over standard annealed glass, without altering other characteristics such as light transmission, specific gravity or coefficient of expansion. Kopp offers a thermal toughening process to customers who's product may be exposed to extreme thermal conditions or subject to impact or pressure. Other characteristic...

This project is a story of friendship, design and music. One summer evening, the Ateliers SeeWhy asked me to draw a guitar to initiate their project "A designer, a guitar," which proposes to associate the design and lute-making. So I suggested them to draw one for a band that I love. At that time La Femme gave rhythm my days. Candy was born. Candy is a wooden apple that is dipped into a resin bath. Each tempering generates a single guitar. Its glazing echoes at the Californian psycho sound of the band. It reminds me the spontaneous energy of the La Femme sound.
