Angry in the Great White North

From an official news release from the campaign office of Conservative Lisa Raitt, reporting on an official complaint filed against Liberal Garth Turner:

Garth Turner appears to have declared a last-minute war on the election signs of his opponent, Conservative Lisa Raitt.  Reports have been coming in from across Halton regarding Garth Turner signs being planted overnight, so as to obscure Lisa Raitt signs.  The Lisa Raitt Campaign is lodging an official complaint with Elections Canada regarding this Halton-wide strategy by the Liberal candidate’s campaign.

“I would like to say I’m surprised, but I’m not,” said Ms Raitt.  “It seems petty.  Maybe Mr. Turner is mad that the Halton newspapers have endorsed me and the Conservative Party and criticized him and the Liberal Party, and this is his way of venting his anger.”

But give Garth Turner credit.  It's Thanksgiving weekend.  No decision on the complaint will come down before voting on Tuesday.  If you need convincing that Garth Turner knows what he's doing is probably wrong, just look at the calendar.
