The term black people is used in some socially-based systems of racial classification for humans of a dark-skinnedphenotype, relative to other racial groups represented in a particular social context. Different societies apply different criteria regarding who is classified as "black", and often social variables such as class and socio-economic status also play a role, so that relatively dark-skinned people can be classified as white if they fulfill other social criteria of "whiteness" and relatively light-skinned people can be classified as black if they fulfill the social criteria for "blackness" in a particular setting.
As a biological phenotype being "black" is often associated with the very dark skin colors of some people who are classified as "black". But, particularly in the United States, the racial or ethnic classification also refers to people with all possible kinds of skin pigmentation from the darkest through to the very lightest skin colors, including albinos, if they are believed by others to have African ancestry, or to exhibit cultural traits associated with being "African-American". As a result, in the United States the term "black people" is not an indicator of skin color but of socially based racial classification.
Although Turkic languages may have been spoken as early as 600 BC, the name "Turk" first appeared in Chinese sources and derives from the term "Tujue" (T’u-chue), meaning "strong" or "powerful", which was used in the 6th century C.E. to refer to the Göktürks.

Sony Interview scandal: Rogen, Franco and Kim Jong-un set the whole thing up
Sony Pictures made it official this week to everyone, it has no balls whatsoever. Sony Pictures totally chickened out and decided to pull its release of The Interview next week after hackers threatened to blow up movie theaters and moviegoers.
Sony Pictures has officially canned its release plans for the comedy film that stars Seth Rogen and James Franco as they are called upon by the CIA to take out North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, played by Randall Park.
Apparently the original film was changed by Sony executives because the original death scene with Kim’s head exploding was too much. The writers had to settle for a watered down death s

The writers had to settle for a watered down death scene with Kim’s exploding head covered mostly by fire.
Paranoia has also caused New Regency to shelve a North Korean-based thriller starring Steve Carell (thank you North Korea) and Paramount to pull substitute showings of Team America.
So all of a sudden, a movie that probably wasn’t the greatest is now the most talked about film of the year and it’s nothing but North Korea in the news. Wouldn’t it be funny if it was all just a set up?

News about record deal:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/may/14/lin-yu-chun-sony-record-deal
Since unexpectedly skyrocketing to international fame with millions viewing this performance on the internet, Lin Yu Chun has made his first visit to the USA, where he recently appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show and also Lopez Tonight.
Here Lin sings the Dolly Parton classic on a Taiwanese tv talent show competition. (Parton wrote and first recorded the song, which Whitney Houston later recorded.)
See Dolly Parton on Wendy Williams Show watching Lin Yu Chun's performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deLqzQLuGOU
*NOTE*: If anyone has a link to Lin Yu Chun's official site or Facebook fan page, please send me a private message. I will put the links on the video for fans to get more information.
I didn't allow automatically-posted comments on the video until 4 days after uploading it. I think the number of views for this video would have been much higher had I just allowed comments to be posted automatically from the start. Just something to keep in mind.
Interview with the now-world famous Lin Yu Chun (in Mandarin Chinese):

When I posted this video of Lin Yu Chun singing, I knew that it would get a large response, but I had no idea how large! So many people from around the world have commented about how much they enjoyed the video, just as I was blown away when I first came across it. I see a lot of the comments that are sent to this channel, and I have been amazed at their overwhelmingly positive nature. Sure, there are a few mean ones, but those are actually rare. My faith in humanity is renewed. =)
Way to go, Lin Yu Chun!

Taiwan singer hits all the right notes as YouTube clip goes viral
By ANNIE HUANG
The Associated Press
TAIPEI, Taiwan
As a younger man, Taiwan's Lin Yu-chun sang for hours on end, trying to get his mind off the sneers he endured because of his portly figure.
The round-faced soprano with the bowl haircut never imagined his voice would one day transform him into an international sensation.
But now, he is being compared to Britain's Susan Boyle, the plain-looking 48-year-old who shot to stardom after singing "I Dreamed a Dream" on "Britain's Got Talent."
Lin's Whitney Houston-like rendition of "I Will Always Love You" on Taiwan's "Avenue to Stardom" talent show last Friday has already racked up some 1.3 million views on YouTube, and the number is climbing fast.
For the 24-year-old with the disparaging nickname of "Little Fatty," the event has been a life-changer.
"I now have more confidence in pursuing a singing career," Lin told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "You don't have to be a good-looking man or woman to succeed. Just be yourself and try your best."
Lin said he had long suffered from a lack of self-confidence because of his plain looks and rotund figure.
"Being fat draws a lot of mockery in our society," he said.
To cope with the pain of his exclusion, he locked himself in his room and sang along with the songs of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey.
But the artist who really grabbed him was Houston — particularly the song "I Will Always Love You," from the soundtrack to the 1992 film "The Bodyguard."
"I played it again and again even though my parents couldn't stand it any more and asked me to stop," Lin said.
Lin has had a bumpy start to stardom.
After graduating from college last year, he failed to make much of an impression on another Taiwanese talent show, where judges criticized both his looks and his high-pitched voice.
"One said I should instead pursue the career of a comedian, and another questioned whether it was right for a man to sing soprano," he said.
Now all that is behind him.
"(The show) has reinvigorated me," he said.
Still, Lin said, he is doing his best not to let his new found fame go to his head.
"I'm trying not to be overwhelmed," he said.
