Albright 57
Stevenson 21
Sophomore TJ Luddy set a new MAC and school record for single game completion percentage and the Lions scored touchdowns on their first eight possessions as the Albright College football team defeated Stevenson 57-21, Saturday in Owings Mills, Md.
Luddy was near-perfect, completing 17-of-19 passes for 253 yards and three scores. His completion percentage of 89.5% is an Albright record, eclipsing Bryan Snyder's 84.6% (1997 vs. Susquehanna). It also set the MAC record as well. As a group, Luddy, Adam Galczynski, Griffin Eldridge and Josan Holmes combined to pass for an obscene 92.9% (26-of-28).
Holmes, a senior captain, rushed for 114 yards on 17 carries, an average of 6.7 yards. He added two rushing touchdowns, while sophomore Uriah Brickhouse also rushed for a TD. Receiver Caleb Shilko caught six balls for 117 yards and two scores, while MAC leader Scott Pillar had nine catches for 115 yards and a touchdown.
The Albright offense was nothing short of ruthless, scoring touchdowns on every possession until the fourth quarter. All-time rushing touchdown leader Holmes capped the first two drives with scores to give Albright an early 14-0 lead.
The Lions then went to the air, with Luddy finding Bakala from 13 yards out, and Holmes getting in on the action with a halfback pass that found Pillar in the end zone to put Albright ahead 36-0 at halftime.
Luddy picked out Shilko for a pair of third quarter scores, including a 34-yard strike that made it 50-7. Senior tackle Taylor Howes then got a rare opportunity to carry the ball, taking a toss from Holmes and barreling in for a four-yard touchdown.
Freshman kicker Jordan Loiodice was another unlikely ball carrier, running it in for two points after Albright's third score and also converting all seven PAT attempts.
Senior safety Keith Bruno intercepted Stevenson's C.J. Hopson in the fourth quarter for the game's only turnover. Nelson Delgado had a team-high 10 tackles and combined with Darren Barnett (eight tackles) for a sack.
Despite his defense's struggles, Hopson put up some impressive numbers with 184 passing yards (one TD) and 18 rushes for 169 yards (9.4 ypa) and a score.
Albright concludes its regular season with a record of 6-4. The Lions have their "bye week" coming up, and they will wait for other teams to finish up before finding out if they will be invited to an ECAC bowl game.

This Scene expresses- FEAR- noun: an emotion experienced in anticipation of some specific pain or danger (usually accompanied by a desire to flee or fight). noun: a feeling of anxiety and agitation caused by the presence or nearness of danger, evil, pain, etc.; timidity; dread; terror; fright; apprehension. Terrify not your soul with vain imaginary fears. By realizing that you are the one feeding the fire, you can start to take control of your fears. Panic is a vicious cycle that can be broken. When you start to have irrational fears you need to take action quick. Eleanor Roosevelt once said: "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing, which you think you cannot do." We must stop running away from things that frighten us, face our fears head on, and do the thing we fear the most. Most of the time we'll find out that the "thing" was not that scary after all. Our imaginations had behaved like a super fertilizer and grown a grotesque monstrosity in our minds. Remember, our imaginations are incredibly powerful. They can work against us, creating horrible images that leave us paralyzed with fear and they can also work for us, building a world where everything we do is an adventure, a miracle. And the most amazing thing is that we hold the power to control our minds - we allow fear to dominate our lives or we choose to dominate fear. Those are our only two choices.

The Quantum Parallelograph
The Quantum Parallelograph is an exploratory project examining the scientific and philosophical ideas surrounding the theory of quantum physics and multiple universes.
The project is rooted in the pioneering work of Professor David Deutsch of Oxford University, and the earlier work of Professor Hugh Everett, who argue for infinite copies of ourselves existing within multiple universes. The Quantum Parallelograph seeks to reveal to the personal user how such ideas of alternative realities might be envisaged.

Albright Football vs. Stevenson University
9-8-12
Albright 29
Stevenson 22 (OT)
Freshman kicker Daniel Sobolewski drilled a 47-yard field goal as time expired to force overtime, as the Albright College football team rallied to defeat Stevenson University 29-22, Saturday in Shirk Stadium.
Sobolewski's kick tied a school record on his first collegiate attempt. The powerful rookie also booted three touchbacks on five kickoffs, and recorded a special teams tackle.
Quarterback TJ Luddy was 16-of-21 for 185 yards and two scores, including the game-winner to senior Scott Pillar (eight catches, 94 yards, 1 TD). Senior running back Ty Hughes recorded his second consecutive 100-yard game, with 103 on 18 carries.
Stevenson scored the apparent game-winning touchdown with 41 seconds to play, as quarterback Anthony Reid ran it in from eight yards out and then found Travis Douglas on the conversion to make it 22-19.
Luddy calmly found Caleb Shilko across midfield however, and then completed a pass to Daniel McNair for six yards. With just six seconds remaining, Luddy hit McNair at the sideline for a 12-yard gain, setting up Sobolewski's heroics.
The fired-up Lion offense then took the ball in overtime and scored in three plays, as Luddy found Pillar for nine yards, and then a 13-yard catch up the middle for the winning score.
Stevenson could have tied it, after Paul Hobbs sacked Reid to set up third and long in the Mustangs' overtime chance. Reid hit Anthony Smith in stride, but the receiver couldn't hold the tying score and dropped it in the end zone.
Hobbs had a huge day defensively, totaling 16 tackles (11 solo stops). Nick Gjoni had six tackles and two sacks, and Mark Capetola recorded three sacks and four tackles in the backfield.
Stevenson had several big plays on their go-ahead drive, including an incredible one-handed grab by Smith for 17 yards on third-and-16. Jeromie Miller then broke a short pass for 54 yards, and a roughing the passer penalty brought the Mustangs down to the Albright 18. The Lions forced fourth down, but Reid dove up the middle in a spread formation to pick it up by inches following the measurement.
K.K. Smith broke for 55 yards on Stevenson's opening drive, and the Mustangs soon punched it in for a 7-0 lead. Albright's Zach Groff ran a fake punt for fourth down on his team's first possession, but the Lions were held scoreless until the final seconds of the half.
Albright's two-minute offense also produced a big score before halftime, taking over on their own 36 with 46 seconds to play. Hughes ran for 16 yards and Luddy found Shilko and Pillar, setting up his 23-yard touchdown pass to Griffin Eldridge to complete a 5-play, 64-yard drive.
Marty Reinhardt bullied his way into the end zone from 10 yards out, but the Lions failed on a costly conversion and led 13-7 after three quarters. Groff (54 yards on nine carries) scored to make it 19-14 late, setting up Stevenson's go-ahead drive.
There was a 55-minute lightning delay preceeding the start of the fourth quarter. The Mustangs took just 35 seconds to score following the resumption of play, with Albright committing a pair of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
