Hua Po explains a major trend behind this case: Liu Yunshan is trying to control the new social media, the Internet. The Southern Weekly, headquartered in Guangdong, has enjoyed relative freedom and thus is very substandard to Liu Yunshan’s appetite. This incident was a suppression conducted by Liu Yunshan and Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng.
