Vishnu (Sanskrit विष्णु Viṣṇu) is the supreme God in Hyderabad area Vaishnavite of Hinduism. Smarta followers of Adi Shankara, among others, venerate Vishnu as one of the five primary forms of God.
The Vishnu Sahasranama declares Vishnu as Paramatman (supreme soul) and Parameshwara (supreme God). It describes Vishnu as the All-Pervading essence of all beings, the master of—and beyond—the past, present and future, one who supports, sustains and governs the Universe and originates and develops all elements within. Vishnu governs the aspect of preservation and sustenance of the universe, so he is called "Preserver of the universe".
In the Puranas, Vishnu is described as having the divine colour of water filled clouds, four-armed, holding a lotus, mace, shankha (conch) and chakra (wheel). Vishnu is also described in the Bhagavad Gita as having a 'Universal Form' (Vishvarupa) which is beyond the ordinary limits of human perception or imagination.
In almost all Hindu denominations, Vishnu is either worshipped directly or in the form of his ten avatara, most famous of whom are Rama and Krishna. The Puranabharti describes each of these Dasavatara of Vishnu. Among the ten principal Avatara described, nine have occurred in the past and one will take place in the future, at the end of Kali Yuga. These incarnations take place in all Yugas in cosmic scales, the avatars and their stories show that god is indeed unimaginable, unthinkable and unbelievable. The Bhagavad Gita mentions their purpose as being to rejuvenate Dharma and vanquish negative forces, the forces of evil that threaten Dharma, as also to display His divine nature in front of the conditioned/fallen souls.

The Vishnu Sahasranam is found in the Mahabharatha. Literally translated this means thousand names of Vishnu. The Vishnu Sahasranam is found in the Mahabharatha. Literally translated this means thousand names of Vishnu. This is found in the Anushasanika Parvam (chapter relating to orders or rules to the kings) of Mahabharatha.
Bheeshma Pitamaha was defeated and grievously wounded by Arjuna. But since he could choose the time of his death as per the boons received by him, he chose to die in Uttarayana and was waiting for the auspicious time. Meanwhile the war was over leading to death of all those male members in his family except the Pancha Pandavas and the unborn child of Abhimanyu. Yudishtra the eldest of the Pandavas became the King of Hasthinapura and whom else would he go for advise other than Bheeshma the great. Anushasanika Parva is in the form of questions and answers between Yudishtra and Bheeshma Pitamaha.To a question as to what is the best possible stotra, Bheeshma answers that it is the Vishnu Sahasra Nama and teaches it to Yudishtra.
Though it describes one thousand aspects and praises of the lord, it is not simple and easy to understand. Many great Acharyas lead by Sankara Bhagavat Pada, felt a need to give its meaning in crystal clear terms so that the devotee can not only sing but meditate on the aspect of the God he is praising. But this again was done in Sanskrit. With the modern civilization several translations of this stotra is available in English and in almost all major languages of India.
Though it is called Sahasra Nama in fact it contains only 901 distinct sounding names. Eight hundred and fifteen names are repeated once, Seventy-five of these names are repeated twice, nine of these names thrice and two of these names four times. The acharyas have attempted to give different meanings to the same word in different places successfully.
In the afterward to the stotra Goddess Parvathi asks Siva the cosmic god for an easy way to sing this stotra for the learned. He replies that it is sufficient that the learned one repeats the name of Rama and this is equivalent to his singing of sahasranama. It is important to note that this is easy method is prescribed to the very learned who do not have time to recite it daily and not for everybody,

Yuvaraj says that he will release audio proof of police officers' abetment to DSP's suicide
In what could lead to further twists to the DSP Vishnupriya case, a murder-accused in another case which was being linked to the DSP’s alleged suicide has now released an audio statement that he will be releasing proof of the fact the senior police officers were responsible for the DSP’s death.
Yuvaraj, the President of Dheeran Chinnamalai Pervai, who has been absconding from the police after being accused of kidnapping and murdering Dalit youth Gokulraj in June this year, has said that he has an audio conversation recording between him and a DSP which he will release at 11am on Sunday.
In the audio clip released by the caste-outfit leader, he says, “I believe that the situation is now right for me to release the proof,” and adds that, “people believe that if there is proof against someone who has done something wrong, the Jayalalithaa government will take action. And it should be done in this case also.”
He had earlier released a statement on her death accusing the police for her drastic decision.
Friends and family members of DSP Vishnupriya have alleged that it was due to pressure from the senior police officers in the investigation of the Gokulraj murder case that Vishnupriya committed suicide. The high-profile murder case received widespread attention from anti-caste-activists and there was pressure on the police to arrest Yuvaraj. In her suicide note however, she had written that the Gokulraj case was not the reason for her death.
On September 18, DSP Vishnupriya reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her official residence in Thiruchengode in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. Family members and opposition has asked for CBI enquiry into the case which the TN government has refused to order. The case is now being investigated by CB-CID of the TN police department.

Even as a the tragic suicide of DSP Vishnupriya escalates to a political storm in Chennai, her father M Ravi and fellow police officer Maheshwari, say that the Namakkal SP, SR Senthil Kumar, must be investigated and questioned.

Speaking to South Indian Crime Point, Vishnupriya’s mother Kalaiselvi said that it was because she was asked to wrongly book three accused in the Gokulraj case under Goondas act that she committed suicide.
“My question is why was she not allowed to investigate the case properly? Why was there pressure from her superior officers to slap Goondas act case on the accused? Was it to satisfy senior police officers up the chain?” asks Maheshwari, speaking to South Indian Crime Point
“There is an audio conversation between Yuvaraj and DSP Vishnupriya which is with the Namakkal SP. In that Yuvaraj says that he is willing to surrender in her presence. Why is the SP not releasing that audio?” asks Maheshwari. Yuvaraj is the main accused in the Gokulraj case and President of the caste-outfit Dheeran Chinnamalai Peravai. He is absconding from the police.
M Ravi echoes Maheswari’s thought and says that the investigation must start with the Namakkal SP. “He has to be suspended, only then will the investigation be proper. He should not be in office. What happened between 3PM and 5PM, only he knows,” says Ravi, speaking to South Indian Crime Point Web TV.

The doors of the temple are closed, as people believe that the birth of such a woman's child in 'garbhagudi' is a bad omen. The boy, named Arjun (Manchu Vishnu), grows up under the guardianship of his grandmother (Manorama). He goes to work as a bodyguard to Satya (Mamta Mohandas), the sister of landlord Pedababu (Nassar). Arjun and his grandmother live in the out house of Pedababu’s bungalow. Arjun is ill-treated by everyone. When an astrologer says that Satya’s first husband will be killed and she will live happily with her second husband, Pedababu plans to get Satya married to Arjun first. Then, he conspires to kill him and get Satya married to a rich man. However, Lord Krishna (Nagarjuna Akkineni) comes to Arjun's assistance. Arjun gains some powers from his companionship with the Lord and overcomes the evils that threaten his peace and family life. He also succeeds in reopening the doors of the temple. Arjun then dies by jumping of a tall building because of his faith in Lord Krishna who revives him a minute after his death. The film ends on a happy note.
