MARCH 12, 2015: IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM WWD
INFORMATION FOR CURRENT SUBSCRIBERS
- The final edition of the daily newspaper in its current format will be on April 24, 2015.
- On April 29, 2015, the print edition of WWD will relaunch in a weekly glossy format.
- The new weekly edition will contain global fashion and retail news, striking photography, analysis, features, profiles, opinions and spirited coverage of the rich social and cultural scene that revolves around this creative and essential sector.
- A new Daily Digital edition of WWD will be sent via email to all print and combo/bundle subscribers with email addresses on file beginning April 27, 2015.
- Going forward, WWD.com will be enhanced with even more 24/7 breaking news and feature stories from around the world; WWD is opening new bureaus in China and Brazil to complement its existing newsrooms in New York City, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Milan, and Tokyo to support the enhancement.
Print Subscribers
Any subscriber who currently receives a daily newspaper will receive the new weekly edition as well as the Daily Digital edition, which will be delivered via secure email each day. In order to ensure delivery, please make sure we have your up-to-date email address by logging in with your account information at http://www.wwd-email.com and entering your individual email address.
Online Subscribers
Subscribers to WWD.COM will continue to receive full access behind the site’s paywall as well as a digital version of the new weekly edition, which will be posted behind the paywall.
Print + Online (Bundle) Subscribers
Subscribers to both WWD.COM and WWD the newspaper will receive the new weekly edition, the Daily Digital edition, and will of course continue to receive full access behind the site’s paywall. The Daily Digital edition will be sent to the same email address you use to log on to the website.
All Subscribers
Access to the WWD App will continue to be included with all WWD subscriptions. Beginning in May 2015, the WWD App will contain a digital version of the new weekly magazine.

On March 2nd, WWD.com is migrating to a new web hosting facility. As a result, you may experience one or more of the following issues on WWD.com on or around March 2nd:

You will need to log in by entering your email address and password the first time you come to the site after the change takes place.

*If you’re not seeing the latest news, it means you are viewing the old version of the site. Please continue reading for an explanation and possible remedies. Internet Service Providers (e.g. AOL, Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner, etc.) rely on Domain Name Service (DNS) records to route Internet traffic to the right locations. Because WWD.com moved to a new web hosting facility, its DNS record has changed. If you are not seeing current content, it means that your Internet Service Provider has not yet updated its DNS record for WWD.com.
Here are some possible remedies:
- Contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them to update their DNS records for wwd.com. You may need to explain “WWD has updated their domain name to point to a new server, and when I visit the site using your network I see the old server because your DNS records are out-of-date.”
- If you’re technically inclined, you may wish to update your own DNS settings to use a DNS provider such as Google Public DNS or OpenDNS.
- Be patient. Your provider will automatically update its records in time.

There are two ways to access the PDF of the WWD weekly print publication:
- WWD.com and combination WWD Print+ WWD.com subscribers can visit WWD.com and click on “LATEST ISSUE VIEW/DOWNLOAD.”
- The iPad/iPhone edition contains a digital replica of the weekly print publication and the latest news from WWD.com. The iPhone edition also includes a list of the issue’s featured stories. You can download the app by going to wwd.com/app on your device (via Safari). Remember, the WWD App is free for WWD subscribers.

- To download a PDF issue of the WWD weekly print publication, right-click on the download PDF link and select “Save Target As” or “Save Link As” to choose where you’d like your PDF to download to. Once downloaded, your PDF should open automatically.
