Afghanistan quake kills 29

KABUL/PESHAWAR, Pakistan - A powerful earthquake struck a remote area of northeastern Afghanistan, killing at least 17 people while 12 were killed in neighboring Pakistan.

Syrian rebel alliance says Russia must stop bombing FSA 7:38am EDT

LONDON - An alliance of Free Syrian Army-related groups in southern Syria said on Monday Russia must stop bombing rebels before they could talk about cooperating with it, saying they hadn't turned down an offer of support but Moscow must first halt its attacks.

GM, union reach tentative labor agreement
