What can you do if you’re a woman in the STEM field and you are sexually harassed by a male coworker? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian (The Point) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.
"What should a scientist do if she catches her adviser eyeing her cleavage? According to an article posted on Science magazine's website, she should probably just "put up with it" for the sake of her career.
Come again?
The article, entitled "Help! My adviser won’t stop looking down my shirt," appeared in the advice column "Ask Alice" on Monday morning.
Shortly thereafter, men and women across the Twitterverse voiced their opinions on the iffy advice (scroll down for a selection) -- and the article was taken down."

As a commentator, Krugman has written on a wide range of economic issues including income distribution, taxation, macroeconomics and international economics. Krugman considers himself a liberal, calling one of his books and his New York Times blog The Conscience of a Liberal.[9] His popular commentary has attracted considerable comment, both positive and negative.[10]

According to the prize Committee, the prize was given for Krugman's work explaining the patterns of international trade and the geographic concentration of wealth, by examining the effects of economies of scale and of consumer preferences for diverse goods and services.[4]
Krugman is known in academia for his work on international economics (including trade theory, economic geography, and international finance),[5][6] liquidity traps, and currency crises. Krugman is ranked among the most influential economic thinkers in the US.[7]
Krugman has written over 20 books, including scholarly works, textbooks and books for a more general audience, and has published over 200 scholarly articles in professional journals and edited volumes.[8] He has also written more than 750 columns on economic and political issues for The New York Times, Fortune and Slate.

Popular columnist and author Sam de Brito has been found dead in a North Bondi home on Monday morning.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious or a suicide, according to Fairfax.
"The family and friends of the writer and journalist Sam de Brito have been devastated by his sudden death this morning," his family said in a statement.
"Sam, 46, has revelled in parenthood and was a wonderful and devoted father to his young daughter, Anoushka.
"He will also be remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, as well as a distinguished columnist and author.
"His family asks for privacy at this time as they grieve for the loss of Sam and await the results of a coroner's report."
The 46-year-old father-of-one, one of the Sydney Morning Herald's most respected columnists, worked as a writer for more than 20 years.
He penned five books, including No Tattoos Before You're Thirty, Hello Darkness and The Lost Boys and started his column All Men Are Liars in 2006. His last column was published just yesterday.
In 2007, de Brito told Cream magazine that he was attracted to dark characters and dysfunctional scenes.
“That’s what I enjoy reading, and it’s what I enjoy writing," he said.
"Maybe it’s because I’ve had my fair share of dysfunction in my life ... Really, I just write about whatever is consuming me or concerning me.”
After the birth of his child, life changed for de Brito.
“I’m a single father now; I’ve got a little girl; and the last thing on my mind are f***in’ drugs.
“I go and probably drink too much at times, but I find it counterproductive to my creativity.”
He wrote, directed and starred in the 1998 comedy film Revenge, Inc. His other writing credits include episodes for TV shows Water Rats and Stingers.

Sydney author Sam de Brito, who wrote The Sun Herald’s popular weekly column All Men Are Liars, has died. He was 46.
He was found dead in his home in the Sydney beachside suburb on North Bondi on this morning, Fairfax Media reports.
His family issued a statement to Fairfax saying he would be “remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, as well as a distinguished columnist and author”.
His provocative column began as a blog nearly 20 years ago and tackled male issues with an often confessional style.
The father of one’s weekend column, titled “Why parents should share a bed with their children”, talked about his own experience with his five-year-old daughter.
He could be contrarian and would range from male sexuality to global political issues, one minute discussing Middle East peace, the next what he considered some of the flaws in feminist behaviour.
He was on occasion accused of misogyny but was always happy to argue his point of view, and take on his detractors, whether on Twitter or in his columns, often with a healthy dose of humour.
His five books included two on advice for children: No Tattoos Before You’re Thirty, and No Sex With Your Ex, as well as the “self-improvement handbook”, Building a Better Bloke.
He also wrote two novels, The Lost Boys and Hello Darkness, which playwright Louis Nowra reviewed disparagingly as a new genre, “dickhead lit”.
As well as provoking strong reactions, his writing also inspired legions of fans and was compulsory weekend reading for many tens of thousands.
He also worked as a screenwriter on shows such as Water Rats and Stingers.
