And so, that amount of feedback led us to an idea of making a tradition of roof toping new skyscrapers all around the world. Today’s hero of attention is a new financial center still under construction and is situated in Shenzhen, China. Right now its height is about 660 meters and that makes it the second tallest tower in the world. Right after Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

JaYoe Travelogue | Chapter 22 | Welcome to Shenzhen
Shenzhen is a great city, situated opposite Hong Kong in southeastern China. It is one of the biggest destinations I have arrived at so far, marking the last big city before I get to Vietnam. Ill be hanging out here for a month while I accomplish some mini “goals”… I have a talk at a international school, some road testing of the trike, a workout regiment, some visits to Hong Kong and a bunch of other things. So follow me as I take an initial ride of the city.
All the points in this video are mapped out on the JaYoe Map page, so if you are interested to go exploring yourself… you will know where to go. Check out the map page at: http://

Yuanwang Digital Mall is the largest Smartphone Market in Shenzhen, Nicole Scott does a walk through of the multistory mad house with her iPhone 6. Visit her website at www.MobileGeeks.com to check out the complete article with a few photos. This is one of the most interesting smartphone markets in HuaqianBei (the computer market street in Shenzhen) because it's the gateway for many blackmarket smarpthones to hit the streets in all parts of China. Makes sense she's asked to stop filming!

Shenzhen is an awesome energy packed place with shopping bazaars and malls everywhere you turn. If you are looking for inexpensive and bargain shopping while your staying in Hong Kong then Shenzhen is the place to go !!
Visa on arrival cost was 168 Yuan (Chinese money - must be paid in Yuan - not hong kong dollar). (i have an Australian passport but cost does not vary that much). Most Hong Kong ATMS give RMB (Yuan).

Check out the map page at: http://jayoe.com/map/#
The JaYoe Travelogues follow Matt as he rides his trike from China to USA. Thru 100 countries he ventures, seeing, doing and meeting along the way.

Shenzhen Smartphone Market Walk Through
Yuanwang Digital Mall is the largest Smartphone Market in Shenzhen, Nicole Scott does a walk through of the multistory mad house with her iPhone 6.

Day trip to Shenzhen from Hong Kong + train trip +visa application
Shenzhen is an awesome energy packed place with shopping bazaars and malls everywhere you turn. If you are looking for inexpensive and bargain shopping while your staying in Hong Kong then Shenzhen is the place to go !!
Visa on arrival cost was 168 Yuan (Chinese money - must be paid in Yuan - not hong kong dollar). (i have an Australian passport but cost does not vary that much). Most Hong Kong ATMS give RMB (Yuan).

Here's my latest steadicam/GH3 walk through the SED Electronics Market in Shenzhen, that building is my favorite in the Shenzhen Huaqiangbei Electronics market area. This is where you can find all the tablets, HDMI sticks and tablet accessories. I film through this market with the Tiffen Steadicam Merlin 2 on arm and vest with the Panasonic GH3 camera and 12-35mm lense.

HuaQiangBei Electronics Market Tour in Shenzhen, China
http://www.mikesblog.com/2014/09/video-tour-of-huaqiangbei-electronics-market-in-shenzhen-china.html I've been experimenting and actually enjoying doing video "blogging" as I wonder in various areas in Shenzhen these days. The famous electronics market, Hua Qiang Bei, is one I cannot stop thinking about to get into the video series.
Huaqiangbei, literally translated as Huaqiang North is a technically name of a road in the central area of Shenzhen city, it is also an important commercial area of Shenzhen. enormous Hua Qiang Bei electronic district for good wholesale prices on components or complete products.
In Hua Qiang Bei, there are a half million people go in and out per day, so when you get there, what you see will be GEEKS (electronics products people), and you’d better take care of your belongings. You can also buy fapiao (tax receipts) off the market too, will hear tons of women whispering (or sometimes yelling) fapiao, fapiao!
This is by far the biggest market of its kind I have encountered and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is the worlds largest

This street has been turned into a swiftly moving river after a heavy downpour. You'll find high-quality photos here: http://www.danielmcbane.com/china/the-flooded-streets-of-shenzhen/
The video shows cars, buses, motorcycles, bikes and pedestrians sloshing their way through the flood waters. This is not an uncommon sight during the summer monsoon season and this kind of weather is why I usually recommend not traveling to China during the rainy season from April to September. Flooded Street in Shenzhen, China due to Heavy Rain
For more on visiting Shenzhen, check out this travel guide: http://www.danielmcbane.com/travel-guides/east-asia/china/shenzhen/
