Conley is the founder of Joie de Vivre Hospitality, which he began in 1987 at age 26 and held the position of CEO for nearly 24 years. "Almost a year ago, I launched a labor of love, Fest300, based on the transformative experiences I’ve had at festivals around the world and my belief that 'The more virtual we get, the more ritual we need.' San Francisco World Music does both – its new technology allowing musicians to practice and perform together across long distances, and on-site festivals. I know you will be inspired by this fine organization just as I am." SHANE HOWARD Shane Howard is one of Australia's most important and influential writers and singers. Born in 1955 in South West Victoria, Australia, Shane Howard combines a deep understanding of poetic and musical folk traditions and captures something essential of the spirit of Australia in words and music. Nevertheless, his songs have a global reach and explore universal themes. Says Shane, "San Francisco World Music embraces remarkable and global musical diversity. The mission and delivery are inspirational in encouraging a world where more music, global understanding, and compassion for the experience of others is of profound importance."
