The Almoravids.
The Almoravids (Berber: Imṛabḍen, Arabic: المرابطون Al-Murābiṭūn) were a Berber dynasty of Morocco, who formed an empire in the 11th century that stretched over the western Maghreb and Al-Andalus. Founded by Abdallah ibn Yasin, their capital was Marrakesh, a city they founded in 1062. The dynasty originated among the Lamtuna and the Gudala, nomadic Berber tribes of the Sahara, traversing the territory between the Draa, the Niger, and the Senegal rivers.
The Almoravids were crucial in preventing the fall of Al-Andalus to the Iberian Christian kingdoms, when they decisively defeated a coalition of the Castilian and Aragonese armies at the Battle of Sagrajas in 1086. This enabled them to control an empire that stretched 3,000 kilometers north to south. However, the rule of the dynasty was relatively short-lived. The Almoravids fell - at the height of their power - when they failed to quell the Masmuda-led rebellion initiated by Ibn Tumart. As a result, their last king Ishaq ibn Ali was killed in Marrakesh in April 1147 by the Almohads, who replaced them as a ruling dynasty both in Morocco and Al-Andalus.

Almohad Caliphate.
The Almohad Caliphate (Berber: Imweḥḥden, from Arabic الموحدون al-Muwaḥḥidun, "the monotheists" or "the unifiers") was a Moroccan[5][6] Berber Muslim movement founded in the 12th century.
The Almohad movement was started by Ibn Tumart among the Masmuda tribes of southern Morocco. The Almohads first established a Berber state in Tinmel in the Atlas Mountains in roughly 1120. The Almohads succeeded in overthrowing the ruling Almoravids in governing Morocco by 1147, when Abd al-Mu'min al-Gumi (r. 1130-1163) conquered Marrakech and declared himself Caliph. They then extended their power over all of the Maghreb by 1159. Al-Andalus followed the fate of Africa and all Islamic Iberia was under Almohad rule by 1172.
The Almohad dominance of Iberia continued until 1212, when Muhammad III, "al-Nasir" (1199–1214) was defeated at the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa in the Sierra Morena by an alliance of the Christian princes of Castile, Aragon, Navarre, and Portugal. Nearly all of the Moorish dominions in Iberia were lost soon after, with the great Moorish cities of Cordova and Seville falling to the Christians in 1236 and 1248 respectively.
The Almohads continued to rule in Africa until the piecemeal loss of territory through the revolt of tribes and districts enabled the rise of their most effective enemies, the Marinids in 1215. The last representative of the line, Idris al-Wathiq, was reduced to the possession of Marrakesh, where he was murdered by a slave in 1269; the Marinids seized Marrakesh, ending the Almohad domination of the Western Maghreb..

ʻAbd al-Salām ibn Mashīsh al-ʻAlamī (Arabic: عبد السلام بن مشيش العلمي) (also spelled Ibn Bashīsh, Ibn Manish, Ibn Machich, Ben Mshish) was a Sufi saint who lived during the reign of the Almohad dynasty. He was born in the region of Beni Aross near Tanger and lived from 1140 to 1227 AD.[1] At one point in his life he withdrew to the mountain Jabal al-ʻAlam, near Larache, where his mausoleum now is situated. He was the spiritual guide of Abu-l-Hassan ash-Shadhili, his only disciple. His own spiritual legacy was connected with that of Abu Madyan, the great formulator of Moroccan Sufism. He is the ancestor of Ali ibn Rashid, founder of Chefchaouen.[2]
He is the author of a collection of reflections about religious and political life in his time and of a famous eulogy of the prophet Mohammed (taṣliyah) on which a commentary was written by Ahmad ibn Ajiba. He also wrote a metaphysical paraphrase of a widely known prayer, called al-Salat al-Mashishiyah, in which the believer calls on God to bless the Prophet to thank him for having received Islam through him. In it, Ibn Mashish sees in the prophet Muhammad an expression of the one Spirit from which all revelation comes and which is the eternal mediator between the ungraspable Godhead and the world. He also gave the Islamic world a prayer of salawat called Salawat al-Nariyah. It is still recited today by Muslims around the globe.

A Muwahhid, Muwahhid Muslim or Unitarian Muslim is a Muslim who places an emphasis on the concept of tawhid. Although many movements have used this term "muwahhid", this page focuses on the conglomeration of non-political and primarily theological Muslim revivalist movements that grew in various intermittent periods including the early 19th century.
Lexicology
The transliteration of the term "Muwahhid" comes in various forms, including Muwahid, Mowahhid. In Its plural form they may be described as Muwahhidun, Muwahhideen or simple Muwahhids. Some female Muwahhid Muslims refer to themsevles as Muwahhidah. The closest translation of Muwahhid into English would correspond to "Unitarian Muslim", and some Muwahhids who anglicise their affiliation call themselves as such. Although the various spellings may include misspellings, plural variation, classical figure of speech pronunciation, pronouned adverb forms, scanno spellings or extant peninsular unclassified isolates that result from multiple linguistic transcriptions. Less common plural spellings include muwahidin, mowahidoon, mowahhidiin. The term is being frequently used by Durzis in order to define their beliefs.
However the terms should not be confused with other types of individuals since there are many groups who have appropriated the term Muwahhid. These include for example the Druze, or the Berber sect which culminated in the Almohad Dynasty, both of whom call themselves as such, along with synonyms such as Ahl al-Tawḥīd (Arabic: أهل التوحيد), which would translate as "The People of Unity" or "The Unitarians", from tawḥid, unity (of God). The Mu'tazili also used the term along with near synonyms such as Ahl al-ʿAdl wa t-Tawḥīd, meaning "The People of Justice and Monotheism"
Based on the distinctions in this article there is complete overlap with between Muwahhid Muslims and the broader Muslim body of beliefs who also place tawheed as the primary reference in describing the relation between God and other than God. As a result the terms can be used interchangeably and it will not be sufficient to identify a particular sect from the broader body of Muslims unless placed in a specific context. Proponents of the Muwahhid school of thought sometimes claim that their affiliation to this emphasis comes as a result of the Quran. They claim that the Quran similarly emphasizes tawheed, therefore Muslims should obey Allah and do the same. Muwahhids traditionally relied on religious discourse to dissuade individuals from following what they deemed to be idolatrous attributions to God. This sometimes included arguments against the addition of consubstantial persons to their conception of God and the haramness of giving animalistic features to God.[8] Furthermore, their arguments against the excessive emphasization of intermediaries between mankind and God was primarily based on a fear of giving leeway to overzealous mosquegoers who might possibly exploit and manipulate less religiously grounded mosquegoers.
Since Muwahhids predominate in Sunnicentric centers of worship, some Muwahhids questioned the hadithically derived sunnah that had little to no feedback from ayahs in the Quran as well as the tendency among masjidgoers (mosquegoers) to give undue weight to non-tafsir elucidations that have no Quranically derived roots. Although all Muslims share the concept of tawhid as one of the pillars of their faith, Muwahhidists differ in that tawhid constitutes a comprehensive overview that is elevated to an all-encompassing primacy of their faith as well as a tendency for reactionary proactivism to environments that seem fluid in this regard. Muwahhidism has no clear ideology and has predominantly been used as an appellation or moniker by various Muslims. However one character that seems to trend across most Muwahhids is that Allah is viewed as holding supreme authority in matters of fiqh, a propensity and sentiment that is sometimes accompanied by a desrire to eradicate excessive human interpolation from areas such as the quranicities of scripture and ideology

The Empire of Vladislav is a small nation that broke off the Kingdom of Vaegirs, since Vladislav the Glorious, felt that the Vaegir King was demanding too much of him, and so Vladislav wanted Independence. The Empire of Vladislav still remains a close ally to the Kingdom of Vaegirs, but one peaceful day... after Vladislav grew his majestic city into the most prosperous city in the world... Vladislav has sent King Yaroglek a letter containing his gratitude, the Kingdom of Vaegirs have declared war on Empire of Vladislav to try and take back the great city of Dhirim and become the next economic superpower the world has ever seen...
Vladislav the Glorious summons both of his Nordic Vassals to help protect the Capitol City from the Vaegir Onslaught. Now, witness the battle from Vladislav's own eyes, as a fearsome Nordic Army of ~300 fights along side the highly elite army of ~350 Vaegir Archers and Knights, against a hoarding army of ~2000 Vaegir troops.
It is a battle to the death, but thanks to Vladislav's incredible tactics, the battle was won with few casualties.
The first battle occurs the next morning, after the Kingdom of Vaegirs retreated from the first Midnight battle, and now are beginning their second assault on Dhirim's walls... This video is continued from Morning Battle for Dhirim, Part 1.
(No cheats were used in these battles. AI Difficulty setting is on "Hard", with "Faster" Combat speed mode. No damage reducing effects used, everything else is as normal. The ONLY Mod that is used is Diplomacy, and a small tweak that adds 10 arrows to all quivers.)

History of Morocco
The history of Morocco spans over twelve centuries, without taking classical antiquity into consideration.
Archaeological evidence has shown that the area was inhabited by hominids at least 400,000 years ago. The recorded history of Morocco begins with the Phoenician colonization of the Moroccan coast between the 8th and 6th centuries BC, although the area was inhabited by indigenous Berbers for s

Ibn Khaldun's life is relatively well-documented, as he wrote an autobiography (التعريف بابن خلدون ورحلته غربا وشرقا, at-Taʻrīf bi-ibn Khaldūn wa-Riḥlatih Gharban wa-Sharqan) in which numerous documents regarding his life are quoted word-for-word.
Generally known as "Ibn Khaldūn" after a remote ancestor, he was born in Tunis in AD 1332 (732 A.H.) into an upper-class Andalusian family of Arab descent, the Banū Khaldūn. His family, which held many high offices in Andalusia, had emigrated to Tunisia after the fall of Seville to the Reconquista in AD 1248 . Under the Tunisian Hafsid dynasty some of his family held political office; Ibn Khaldūn's father and grandfather however withdrew from political life and joined a mystical order. His brother, Yahya Khaldun, was also a historian who wrote a book on the Abdalwadid dynasty, and who was assassinated by a rival for being the official historiographer of the court.[14]
In his autobiography, Khaldun traces his descent back to the time of Muhammad through an Arab tribe from Yemen, specifically the Hadhramaut, which came to the Iberian Peninsula in the eighth century at the beginning of the Islamic conquest. In his own words: "And our ancestry is from Hadhramaut, from the Arabs of Yemen, via Wa'il ibn Hajar, from the best of the Arabs, well-known and respected." (p. 2429, Al-Waraq's edition). However, the biographer Mohammad Enan questions his claim, suggesting that his family may have been Muladis who pretended to be of Arab origin in order to gain social status. Enan also mentions a well documented past tradition, concerning certain Berber groups, whereby they delusively "aggrandize" themselves with some Arab ancestry. The motive of such an invention was always the desire for political and societal ascendancy. Some speculate this of the Khaldun family; they elaborate that Ibn Khaldun himself was the product of the same Berber ancestry as the native majority of his birthplace. A point congenial to this posits that Ibn Khaldun's unusual written focus on, and admiration for Berbers reveals a deference towards them that is born of a vested interest in preserving them in the realm of conscious history; such is that which the true Arabs of his day would find no enthusiasm for and indeed a vested interest in suppressing. Moreover the special position that he affords Berbers in his work is fully vindicated upon comparing it with his vitriolic attitudes towards the Arab, and his relative lack of interest in the state of affairs outside the Maghreb. In contrast, Muhammad Hozien chooses to believe: "The false [Berber] identity would be valid however at the time that Ibn Khaldun's ancestors left Andalusia and moved to Tunisia they did not change their claim to Arab ancestry. Even in the times when Berbers were ruling in Al-Andalus, the reigns of Almoravids and Almohads, the Ibn Khalduns did not reclaim their Berber heritage."[16]

The history of Morocco spans over twelve centuries, without taking classical antiquity into consideration.
Archaeological evidence has shown that the area was inhabited by hominids at least 400,000 years ago. The recorded history of Morocco begins with the Phoenician colonization of the Moroccan coast between the 8th and 6th centuries BC, although the area was inhabited by indigenous Berbers for some two thousand years before that. In the 5th century BC, the city-state of Carthage extended its hegemony over the coastal areas. They remained there until the late 3rd century BC, while the hinterland was ruled by indigenous monarchs. Indigenous Berber monarchs ruled the territory from the 3rd century BC until 40 BC, when it was annexed to the Roman Empire. In the mid-5th century AD, it was overrun by Vandals, before being recovered by the Byzantine Empire in the 6th century.

Granada (Spanish pronunciation: [ɡɾaˈnaða]; Arabic: غرناطة, DIN: Gharnaṭah, Greek: Ἐλιβύργη Elibyrge (Steph. Byz.); Latin: Illiberis (Ptol. ii. 4. § 11) or Illiberi Liberini (Pliny iii. 1. s. 3)) is a city and the capital of the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of four rivers, the Beiro, the Darro, the Genil and the Monachil. It sits at an elevation of 738 metres above sea level, yet is only one hour by car from the Mediterranean coast, the Costa Tropical. Nearby is the Sierra Nevada Ski Station, where the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1996 were held.
In the 2005 national census, the population of the city of Granada proper was 236,982, and the population of the entire urban area was estimated to be 472,638, ranking as the 13th-largest urban area of Spain. About 3.3% of the population did not hold Spanish citizenship, the largest number of these people (31%; or 1% of the total population) coming from South America. Its nearest airport is Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport.

A religious war or holy war (Latin: bellum sacrum) is a war primarily caused or justified by differences in religion. The (possibly fictional) account of the conquest of Canaan by the Israelites in the Book of Joshua, the Muslim conquests of the 7th and 8th centuries, and the Christian Crusades (11th to 13th centuries) and Wars of Religion (16th and 17th centuries) are the classic examples but a religious aspect has been part of warfare as early as the battles of the Mesopotamian city-states. In the modern era, arguments are common over the extent to which religious, economic, or ethnic aspects of a conflict predominate: examples include the Yugoslav Wars and the civil war in Sudan. In several ongoing conflicts including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Syrian civil war, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, religious arguments are overtly present but variously described as fundamentalism or religious extremism depending upon the observer's sympathies. At the same time, members of many religions have been and are active members of the modern anti-war movement.

Legionnaire is a 1998 war film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as a 1920s boxer who wins a fight after having been hired by gangsters to lose it, then flees to join the French Foreign Legion. The cast includes Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Steven Berkoff, Nicholas Farrell and Jim Carter. The film was filmed in Tangier and Ouarzazate, Morocco.
Plot.
Alain Lefevre (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is a French boxer in 1920s Marseille, France. Alain is forced by local crime boss Lucien Galgani (Jim Carter) to take a dive in a fight. Galgani's girlfriend Katrina (Ana Sofrenovic) is also Alain's ex-fiancée whom he left standing at the altar. But Katrina forgives Alain, and the two hatch a plan to run off to America together.
Alain does not take a dive in the fight, but just as the escape plan is about to succeed, Alain's friend is killed, and Katrina is captured by Galgani's men. But Alain has shot and killed Galgani's brother.
Desperately needing a new escape plan, Alain signs up for the French Foreign Legion, and is shipped to North Africa to help defend Morocco against a native Berber rebellion of Rif warriors, led by Abd el-Krim.
Along the way, Alain meets some new friends, including Luther, an African American who has fled injustice in the States, Mackintosh, a former British Army Major with a gambling problem, and Guido, a naive Italian boy who wishes to impress his girl back home by returning as a hero.
But things will not be easy. The only real way to escape from the Legion is to survive the term of service, and the rebels have them outnumbered.
Galgani has sent his hired thugs into the Legion as well, to find Alain and get revenge for the death of Galgani's brother. In the end, only Alain stands up alive after the battle and Abd el-Krim seeing Alain's courage and determination allows him to live and tells him to inform his superiors what's waiting for them if they continue the colonization. Finally the movie ends with Alain's memory of Katrina and his former friends.
