Plot: The 'Woman From The East' depicts the plight of a poor Indian woman, who is marketed as an animal and is made alien right in her own mother land, India. Paala Singh, a small farmer from a village in Punjab, who is about 65, doesn't have a son from his first wife. His lust for a son tempts him to sell his buffalo and with the same money to purchase a girl to have a son from. 'Ganga' the protagonist of 'Woman From The East', belongs to a poor family from Bihar. She has lost her own mother and is living with her father and step mother. Despite acute poverty her father is an addict. Ganga is uprooted and sent to Punjab where she is called Pardesan - An Outsider. 'Woman From The East' is a disturbing tale of hard hitting realities in the underbelly of rural India. Every minute, every hour a woman is abused in some part of the globe. The film is a tribute to these women all over the world.

Plot: Police inspector Karan Srivastav along with his colleague inspector Ali is baffled when they must investigate the murder of inspector Rane. Plot: Malti witnesses a physical altercation between her husband and Rai Bahadur Brijbhushan Sharma, as a result of which her husband gets knifed and killed. As she tries to take the knife out, the Police arrive, arrest her, and hold her in a cell. It is here that Brijbhushan visits her and warns her not to testify against him as he will kill her son, Raju. Malti accepts full responsibility of her husband's death, is found guilty, and sentenced to 14 years in jail. After her discharge, she is released and finds out that Raju is now known as Raja is very popular dancer and singer. She also gets to meet Radha and her brother, Dattu, who are looking after Raju, and hopes that her son will eventually marry Radha. She subsequently comes to know that Raju loves Priya, who is the daughter of none other than Brijbhushan. Malti is not ready to expose Brijbhushan as her husband's killer - she has other plans for him, and none of her plans include Priya as her future daughter-in-law.

Plot: Omkar Thakur won't help his graduate son Raja in getting a job because he believes that Raja should find an employment on his merits. As a result, Raja is forced to visit various employment agencies. At one such agency, he bumps into Madhurani, the daughter of a hotel-owner who is also looking for work. Whileon the hunt for a job, the two find love instead and decide to tie the knot. Obstacles arise when Madhurani is hired by Raja's father as his personal secretary and he instantly decides that she will be the right girl for Raja. Raja unaware about Madhurani's boss tries to poison her mind against him. Plot: Savitri lives a poor lifestyle in Bombay along with her husband, Ramdas; a collegian daughter, Sita, and a polio-stricken son, Ganesh. Shortly thereafter he returns home with a wound on his head and a young woman, who he says is his daughter, Ganga, and asks Savitri to look after her. He is subsequently admitted in hospital but passes away a few days later. Thereafter family are evicted and go to live in a shanty room. Ganga pawns her jewelery, then gets a job, and looks after them all. When Ganga finds out that Sita has a boyfriend in Vijay, her fellow-collegian, she goes to meet his brother, Lal Dandhwani, at Vijay's birthday party - and it is this visit that will open up a Pandora's box changing everyone's lives forever.
