After a month with the iPhone 6s, these are the things that surprise me
Apple's new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s have been out for a month now, but there are still some surprises hidden beneath all that aluminum and glass...
Even though we have almost a year to go until we see the iPhone 7, concepts for the device have been popping up all over the web. One such video concept that imagines the next big thing for Apple when it comes to iPhone design, although we have our doubts about whether Apple would be able to pull off such an ambitious design.
Many of the stories we run on BGR revolve around hacks and security flaws that we believe our readers should know about. Online security is a hot topic in 2015, and you need to have all the tools to keep yourself safe. But every once in a while we have a chance to sit back and admire a hack, rather than run to our computers to change all of our passwords. More →
In the weeks before the iPad Pro is set to go on sale, Apple has been globetrotting, showing the bigger iPad to everyone from graphic designers to artists and musicians. Thanks to my close friend Just Blaze, we’ve obtained some photos of the device from some time he spent with it the other day. More →

Android fans really, really don’t like it when cool things come to iOS first. That was the case this week when iPhone users upgrading to iOS 9.1 got a massive new batch of emoji from Unicode 7.0 and 8.0. that includes the highly coveted middle finger emoji. Android users don’t yet have access to these new characters and the Android Reddit community is not happy about it. More →
With high expectations, I went to see the new Steve Jobs movie earlier this week with some friends. Penned by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Danny Boyle, the movie seemed like a surefire hit. Especially given the tremendous job Sorkin did on The Social Network, I was anticipating a similarly riveting movie going experience.
The reality was the exact opposite. In a word, the movie is boring. It’s dreadfully boring.
As advertised, the entire movie consists of just three scenes, each set before a major product announcement from Steve Jobs. While this type of scheme is clever in theory, it falls horribly flat in practice.
Remember when Microsoft said on stage that the Surface Book is twice as fast as the MacBook Pro and suggested the entry-level price will get you that crazy performance? It turned out that the Surface Book capable of outperforming Apple’s MacBook Pro was $300 more expensive than the Surface Book’s $1,499 base price, because you need a discrete graphics card to take on Apple’s professional-grade notebook PC.
In fact, the high price of the Surface Book might be the worst thing about this new Windows 10 laptop/tablet hybrid, but Microsoft is already taking steps to making it more affordable. More →

Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond for the fourth time in his career in Spectre, doesn’t sound too thrilled about doing another episode in the famous spy movie saga. He said so himself in an interview recently, although he wasn’t 100% sure he wouldn’t play 007 one more time.
The actor continued his tour promoting Spectre, revealing in an interview with Red Bulletin that James Bond teaches you nothing that can help you in everyday life. In fact, he appears rather disinterested in talking about the new movie. However, Craig revealed various behind-the-scenes 007 secrets during the interview, and fans will definitely appreciate them. Elon Musk recently took to Twitter to counteract Consumer Reports’ bombshell of a report in which it withdrew its recommendation for the Tesla Model S. As a quick refresher, the report said it could no longer recommend that users buy Tesla’s electric and luxury sedan on account of reliability issues it discovered while surveying 1,400 Model S owners.

Remember back when Apple told iPhone 4 users they may be holding the iPhone the wrong way, thus causing cellular signal issues (the “Antennagate” issue)? Well, it’s time to revisit that line. It turns out that you might be holding the iPhone 6s the wrong way for one particular purpose – checking notifications on the lock screen. But don’t worry because this isn’t a “gate” issue, and it’s something that can be easily fixed.
