[Verse 1:]
Danielle, Danielle, yeah you heard about Raquel
Well that didn't go well, let me try to make it swell
Put the beaver in the mail, we can take it slow like snail
Lock my heart up, this is jail, throw away the key
[Hook:]
Can I sleep over, and wake up next to you?
I wanna feel you near, just let me whisper in your ear, um
[Verse 2:]
We can kick it on the couch, blunt to you, roll it up
But I'm on some shrooms if you really wanna feel the room
I just wanna kick it, kick it for the rest
I skated all day, I just need some rest
[Hook:]
Can I sleep over, and wake up next to you?
I wanna feel you near, just let me whisper in your ear, um
[Verse 3:]
We can count the stars on the hood in your father's car
He's a buster anyway, I can take it him day
Look into your eyes I realize that I like you so much
That was corny, now I'm horny, can I have a just kiss?
[Hook:]
Can I sleep over, and wake up next to you?
I wanna feel you near, just let me whisper in your ear, um
[Verse 4:]
We both teenagers with the same mind state
How 'bout some ice cream and some South Park for this first date?
Your cat is waitin' for that raw fish I can't wait, get it?
[Hook:]
Can I sleep over, and wake up next to you?
Faith, it looks familiar
the walls, drop a portrait of my past
And the hands of God they cry
as every second of the hour goes by
And the wheels kept pushing me
And the wheels have come to take me alive
The wheels behind me i'm told
Bring me away to something i cannot hold
Fadin' to find me, but before that
I'll fade away, changing
Life, its not so simple
Nature, wishing we'll not sever the law
save my child life
i could'nt have done much better than before
And the wheels kept pushing me
And the wheels have come to take me alive
The wheels behind me i'm told
Bring me away to something i cannot hold
Fadin' to find me, but before that
I'll fade away, changing
The hands of God they cry,
As every second of the hour goes by
And the wheels kept pushing me
And the wheels have come to take me alive
The wheels behind me i'm told
Bring me away to something i cannot hold
Fadin' to find me, but before that
I'll fade away, changing
changing

We've all got wheels to take ourselves away
We've got the telephone to say what we can't say
We all got higher and higher every day
So come on wheels and take this boy away
We're not afraid to ride
We're not afraid to die
So come on wheels, take me home today
Come on wheels, take this boy away
And when I feel my time is almost up
And destiny is in my right hand
I'll turn to him, who made my faith so strong
Come on wheels, make this boy a man
We're not afraid to ride
We're not afraid to die
So come on wheels, take me home today
Come on wheels, take this boy away

I know what you're thinkin'
We were goin' down
I can feel the sinkin'
But then I came around
And everyone I've loved before
Flashed before my eyes
And nothin' mattered anymore
I looked into the sky
Well I wanted something better man
I wished for something new
And I wanted something beautiful
And wish for something true
Been lookin' for a reason man
Something to lose
When the wheels come down (When the wheels come down)
When the wheels touch ground (When the wheels touch ground)
And you feel like it's all over
There's another round for you
When the wheels come down (When the wheels come down)
Know your head is spinnin'
Broken hearts will mend
This is our beginning
Comin to an end
Well, you wanted something better man
You wished for something new
Well, you wanted something beautiful
Wished for something true
Been lookin for a reason man
Something to lose
When the wheels come down (When the wheels come down)
When the wheels touch ground (When the wheels touch ground)
And you feel like it's all over
There's another round for you
When the wheels come down (When the wheels come down)
When the wheels come down (When the wheels come down)
When the wheels touch ground (When the wheels touch ground)
And you feel like it's all over
There's another round for you
When the wheels come down (When the wheels come down)
When the wheels come down (When the wheels come down)
When the wheels touch ground (When the wheels touch ground)
And you feel like it's all over
There's another round for you
I wish you never even loved me
It makes it so hard to live without love
Now I know you're often thinking of me
Sometimes I feel you so close by that it takes
All my might to keep from trying to track you down
I can surely keep you out of sight
Forget about the way you look, your smile, the way you speak
But I've heard in the dead of night
Outside my window silence breaking with the solid
Destination of your lonesome speed
I know the sound of your wheels
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I know the sound of your wheels
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I know the sound of your wheels
I had a handle on my sorrow
My composure was in order if not sufficiently intact
But every reminiscent echo
Brings a blow to chill my senses and my heart quakes
And tenses 'til those moments pass
I know the sound of your wheels
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I know the sound of your wheels
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I know the sound of your wheels
Every trace, every vision
Brings my emotions to collision
Past love's lost tokens
Every cherished thought once spoken
False hope of reconciliation
I know the sound of your wheels
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I know the sound of your wheels
Yeah, yeah, yeah
When I first started travellin'
I left home when I was young
When I first started travellin'
I left home when I was young
Never gonna quit
Are you
Ever gonna slow down
I left old Bristol city
Got my start in Bristol city
Never gonna quit are you
Ever gonna slow down
Wheels turn beneath my feet
Wheels turn beneath my feet, yeah
Wheels turn
Never gonna quit are you
We've all got wheels to take ourselves away
We've got the telephone to say what we can't say

So come on wheels, take me home today
In a wooden boat in the shipping lanes
With the freighters towering over me
I can hear the jets flying overhead
Making lines across the darkening sky
And when the sun is going down I can take a taxi into town
And the waiter at the restaurant sets a table just for one
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round spinning round
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round and round
(okay)
So I had a plane to take me to a place so far away from you
Eventually we began to see that we could be completely free
And I could get away from you
And you could get away from me
And we could live each separately in our cities in the sun
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round spinning round
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round and round
(okay)
(alright)
In a seedy karaoke bar
By the banks of the mighty Bosphorus
Is a Japanese man in a business suit singing 'Smoke Gets in Your Eyes'
And the muscular cyborg German dudes dance with sexy French Canadians
While the overweight Americans wear their patriotic jumpsuits
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round spinning round
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round and round
(Alright)
(This one right)
(Spinning round)
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round spinning round
Wheels keep on spinning round spinning round and round
(Spinning round)
(I don't know)
Why you say you are not in love with me
(I don't know)
Why you say you are not in love with me
(I don't know)
Why you say you
I'm a little boy blue I'm the man on the moon
I'm a bit freaked out and a hair out of tune
And they tell me that I might just lose it soon
I'm a guy with a little and ten's not enough
But after 19 you're hooked on a stuff
You float away just like a big balloon
And sometimes nothing's colder than the sun
On a bad day
Sometimes nothing warms you
Like the rain yeah
I'm a wheel, wheels turn
Rolling over anything in front of me
Like a wheel, wheels burn
Burning like the soul that's inside of me
I'm a wheel, wheels turn and take me away
I've been up I've been down, I've been in I've been out
A confident smile and a heart full of doubt
I'm working till I'm oh so tired out
I make sisters and brothers with everyone
We howl at the moon and run from the sun
And lately I don't know what it's all about
Oh love has got me down before
That I have recovered
And some how we've finding
Easy way yeah
I'm a wheel, wheels turn
Rolling over anything in front of me
Like a wheel, wheels burn
Burning like the soul that's inside of me
I'm a wheel, wheels turn take me away
I'm a little boy blue, I'm the man on the moon
I'm a bit freaked out and a hair out of tune
They tell me that I might just lose it soon
Oh sometimes nothing's colder than the sun
On a bad day
And sometimes nothing warms you
Like the rain yeah
I'm a wheel, wheels turn
Rolling over anything in front of me
Like a wheel, wheels burn
Burning like the soul that's inside of me
Like a wheel, wheels turn
Rolling over anything in front of me
Like a wheel, wheels burn
Burning like the soul that's inside of me
Like a wheel, wheels turn, take me away
Come and take me away
I'm a wheel, wheels turn
No we know, wheels burn
I'm a wheel, wheels turn
Now wheels will turn you away yeah
I'm a wheel, wheels turn
No we know, wheels burn
He came off second best when he first came round here
In a town that's built on money, built on fear
Just don't fake life
He's been told a thousand times
You see the wheels that we turn in keep dragging us down
He was amazed to se the fallen here
Tried so very hard to fight the fear
Then when he saw the end and it weren't very far
It slipped from his grasp and he stumbled there in the dark
Just don't fake life
He's been told a thousand times
You see the wheels that we turn in keep dragging us down
He took a troubled heart and then he gave it out
Took a violent change of circumstance to shout
There can be nobody better to turn things around
Yes there can be nobody better to turn things around
Just don't fake life
He's been told a thousand times
You see the wheels that we turn in keep dragging us down
On a date with Sharon Tate
I'm gonna pick her up in my new crate
well we go to the movies we go to a drag

help me avoid the crash

On a date with sharon tate
I'm gonna pick her up in my new crate
Well we go to the movies we go to a drag
The highway patrol puts us both in a bag

What is this?
As we are flying through the atmosphere
And coming to Earth
All we can see is your pollution
How long do you think the wheels will keep on turning?
How long do you think the wheels will keep on turning?
Nuclear radiation leaks through your lands
Your rivers are gone
Tankers seep oil into your seas
How long will the wheels will keep on turning?
For how long will the wheels will keep on turning?
And it's like you don't really care
And it's like you don't really care
You don't really care
You don't really care
Your ozone's gone
Gases weep through your lands
You really feel lost
????
And your eyes despair
And it's like you don't really care
And it's like you don't really care
You don't care
Do you really care?
We don't care
Do you really care?
How long will the wheels will keep on turning?
How long?
Your seas are gone
Your animals are dead
And it's like you don't really care
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Radiation seeps through your lands
Your ozone's gone
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Do you really care?
Light ahead proves that the wheels broke down
Here I am, still hangin' on, well alright
Shadows only disappear
Just look around there's no one here
A little spirit turned my light on out and now
Can never be no doubt
You got to walk in the morning sun
And got to smile at everyone
Go my love on your way to bigger and
Bright better days
And I'll go crazy for it all
And I won't stop lovin' you, baby
Oh, yeah, here I am
This feeling inside a body
Light ahead proves that the wheels broke down
Here I am, still spinnin' round
Shadows only disappear
Just look around there's no one here
A little spirit turned my light on out and now
Can never be no doubt
I'm gonna wait till the stars come down
My little love smiles on a wing
For all a raindrop and tears not wasted there
Been pourin' down all day
Runnin' round catchin' 'em, baby
Run around catchin' 'em, baby
Whichever way they fall
Won't stop lovin' you, baby
Whichever way you go, oh, yeah
Here I am, here I am
Just runnin' round catchin' 'em
Some people are
born to live alone
and go about life that way
Their home is a long stretch
of blacktop and everyday
is just another day
They like movin' and
stayin on the run
And tryin' to make
the world stand still
White lines and city limit signs
and life is like an automobile's
Rollin' down the highway
in qualified time
That's the only way to feel
(chorus)
Wheels
Stay under me
Stay under me
Wheels
Stay under me
Stay under me
It's a freedom that
we all wanna know
It's an obsession to some
to keep the world in
your rearview mirror
While you try to
run down the sun
It's the knowin' when you
get to where you're goin'
You're never there against your will
White lines and city limit signs
and life is like an automobile
Rollin' down the highway
in qualified time
That's the only way to feel
(Chorus)
Wheels
I love to feel you turn
I love to feel you under me
(instrumental)
Wheels turn around
Round round
let your rubber burn
It's a code for
livin on the road
Try to make the
world stand still
Rollin' down the highway
Rollin' down the highway
Ooohhh
(Chorus)
Wheels
I love to feel you turn
I love to feel you under me
Wheels
Stay under me
We have our wheels
To take ourselves away
We got telephones
To say what we can say
We all got higher and higher everyday
Come on wheels
Take this boy away
We're not afraid to ride
We're not afraid to die
So come on wheels
Take me home today
Come on wheels
Take this boy away
Now when I feel
My time is almost up
And destiny is in my hands
I'll turn to Him
Who made my faith so strong
Come on wheels
Make this boy a man
We're not afraid to ride
We're not afraid to die
Come on wheels
Take me home today
Come on wheels
We've all got wheels to take ourselves away

When I feel my time is almost up
And destiny is in my right hand
I will turn to you who made my faith so strong
Come on wheels make this boy a man
We're not afraid to ride
We're not afraid to die
Come on wheels take me home today
Come on wheels take this boy away
(chris hillman, gram parsons)
We've all got wheels to take ourselves away,
We've got telephones to say what we can't say.
We get higher and higher every day,
Come on wheels, take this boy away.
We're not afraid to ride,
We're not afraid to die.
Come on, wheels, take me home today,
Come on wheels, take this boy away.
And when I feel my time is almost done
And destiny is in my right hand,
I turn to him who made my life so strong.
Come on, wheels, make this boy a man.
We're not afraid to ride,
We're not afraid to die.
Come on, wheels, take me home today,
Come on wheels, take this boy away.
Everyday you live a life so full of hope
Shouldn't drag your soul around you like a leather vogue
You remember everything you thought your life would be
Well its fallin through the craks of ancient history
Oh, Is this something that I never, something that i never had
Oh, Is this something that I never, something that i never had
Tell you what I've heard
The wheels are falling off, the wheels are falling off the world
Friday night and everything is a ok
We are living like we've always known a different way
We are taking on our different roads before our goal
It'll bring you back around to the one you know
Oh, Is this something that I never, something that i never had
Oh, Is this something that I never, something that i never had
Tell you what I've heard
We've all got wheels to take ourselves away
We've got the telephones to say what we can't say
We all got higher and higher every day
Come on wheels take this boy away
We're not afraid to ride
We're not afraid to die

And destiny is in my right hand
I'll turn to him who made my faith so strong
Come on wheels make this boy a man
We're not afraid to ride
We're not afraid to die
So come on wheels take me home today
Come on wheels take this boy away

He took a plane to New York city
To chase his fortune on the wall street plan
He is stranded in Manhattan
But the southeast Texas coast still calls his name
He said come on wheels, give up a ticket
Oh hello thunder, won't you roll him home
Oh a needle and thread could mend his heartache
Old moon give way to the day and hand him the sun
There is no shelter for the lonely
And the northeast women speak of a different tongue
There are times he cries so loudly
That the southern rain blows north to ease his heart
He said come on wheels, give up a ticket
Oh hello thunder, won't you roll him home
Oh a needle and thread could mend his heartache
Old moon give way to the day and hand him the sun
Northern harbor take care of my blue boy
Let your city give him warmth for his hands
He will be happy, his heart won't long for
His home on the southeast Texas coast again
He said come on wheels, give up a ticket
Oh hello thunder, won't you roll him home
Oh a needle and thread could mend his heartache
Old moon give way to the day and hand him the sun
Oh a needle and thread could mend his heartache
She was a danger,
Aint no stranger,
You give me rock ‘n’ roll, around the town,
Just foolin’ around,
She’s gonna break ya,
Wanna make ya,
Gonna make it,
Wanna take it down,
She’s gonna rock ‘n’ roll ‘n’ slide it down,
Wheels,
Spinnin’ around my brain, driving you insane,
Wheels,
Rolling ‘round my head, going through the red,
She wanna shake you, no way to save you,
She’s got me shot, I’m fallin’
I’m blowin’ it out,
Know what I’m talkin’ about,
She’s gonna ride you, wanna slide you,
Ain’t no fakin’ she wanna take you out,
You betcha right, she’s gonna spin you ‘round,
Wheels,
Spinnin’ around my brain, driving you insane,
Wheels,
Rolling ‘round my head, going through the red,
Wheels,
Flyin’ down the road, ready to explode,
Wheels,
Burnin’ down the road, hitting overload,
(Guitar Solo)
Wheels,
Spinnin’ around my brain, driving you insane,
Wheels,
Rolling ‘round my head, going through the red,
Wheels,
Flyin’ down the road, ready to explode,
Wheels,
Burnin’ up the road, hitting overload,
Wheels,
Hitting overload
Wheels,
On a date with Sharon Tate
I'm gonna pick her up in my new crate
well we go to the movies we go to a drag
the highway patrol puts us both in a bag
wheels, wheels
statue of mary sitting on my dash
mother please protect me
help me avoid the crash
I've got a really big engine
and itgoes vroom, vroom
could be a cradle, could be a tomb
See the words appear on the wall
There for every man who's standing tall
This water's pure, the well is so deep
The only treasure that a man can keep
Miles to go, and I feel the weight
Of these chains that I create
As I climb to the top of the hill
It draws me still
And I can't look back
(Chorus)
The heart keeps on burning
Oh, wheels, wheels, don't slow down
My soul keeps on yearning
Oh, wheels, wheels, roll me homeward bound
I'm looking through the eyes of a child
Like the innocent and unbeguiled
From the east, and far to the west
Soldiers conquer in a royal quest
One by one, as the seasons change
I press on in a world so strange
As I climb to the top of the hill
It draws me still
And I won't look back
(Chorus)
We are marching in time
To the reason and rhyme
As the glory of youth starts to fade
There's no burden to bear
For a debt that is already paid
Where I'm bound nobody knows
Ain't got nothing but my clothes
Best if I forget the way I'm ridin'
Heading down a one way track
Wind is cold upon my back
Rumbling of this old steel rail don't die
Wheels!
Playing games I could not win
Always ending up again
Change of scenery just might help this time
Watching daylight turn to black
Long since I smoked up my last Mac
Dreamed of one day gettin' off this line
Wheels!
Saw them come and saw them go
Saw them frozen from the cold
Night inside the city
Empty sidewalks
Stretching under dizzy lights
Rain is humming
The streets are running
Underneath the neon lights
We run together
We'll run forever
Out of here
Riding the wheels
Look at pretty windows
At shiny people
Statues under sparkling lights
Just take a picture
A melting moment
Flashing on this crazy ride
Just close your eyes now
And breathe a sigh now
We're getting out of here
Out of here
Riding the wheels
Riding the wheels
I've made you mad as hell heard you yell
But I've never seen you crying
It's clear to us it's serious
We've never been this close to dying
We've gotten way too reckless baby
With this love I thought we treasured
If we keep on like this
We just might miss forever
Baby we never thought to swerve
It's like we drove straight into the curve
Baby we better hit the brakes and take it slow
And get these wheels back on the road
Why do I do what I do
When I don't know what I'm doin'
I can see the hurt from the words
That I'm throwing as they hit you
Why can't I just shut my mouth
And take some time to breathe
You'd think I'd know by now
To think before I speak
Baby we never thought to swerve
It's like we drove straight into the curve
Baby we better hit the brakes and take it slow
And get these wheels back on the road
Our first kiss was in the car
How'd we end up where we are
Broken down and worlds apart
Baby we never thought to swerve
It's like we drove straight into the curve
Baby we better hit the brakes
We better take it slow
And get these wheels back on the road
I couldn't wait until the morning
I couldn't wait until the time was right
I've got enough caffeine, enough gasoline
And I'm going to drive all night
The wheels keep rollin'
I feel like my soul is caving in
Until I'm holdin', holding you again
There's nothin' good on the radio
Ain't nothin' good at all when you're not by my side
And I still have a long way to go
Down this broken white line
The wheels keep rolling
I feel like my soul is caving in
Until I'm holdin', holding you again
I can't wait, no I can't wait
I can't wait to touch you
The wheels keep rolling
I feel like my soul is caving in
Until I'm holding, holding
Holding, holding,
Holding you again
