A/V#16.03 2013 Spring
http://www.actualvirtualjournal.com/2014/11/av16.html
This talk returns to questions and problems in Deleuze’s philosophy of time through a critical discussion of McTaggart’s famous refutation of time. Nearly all work on McTaggart’s refutation focuses on narrow versions of his arguments about A and B series, but when we look at it in relation to Deleuze, some well-rehearsed

The devil's march of the Waffen SS.
Neo-Nazis aren't like Nazis. Actual Nazis weren't caring about who is black or whatever nonsense people always talking about. Beyond the holocaust, beyond the excessive hatred of Jews (and Communists) they upwardly managed to cleanse the earth from any genetic abnormalities by using scientific processes, and medical experiments such as eugenics. Decreasing life's ugliness. Nevertheless, Arthur de Gobineau (Aryan Philosophy), Schopenhauer, Friedrich Nietzsche and Charles Darwin, surely affected Hitler's brain, but when an ambitious man wants to approach crowds and masses must utilize brainwashing, propaganda etc. When ideology or idealism turns into Politics everything noble dies. Under the orders of a charismatic and delusional leader they forced to make Europe a better place, establish imposing elitism, bringing a romantic revival against the Judeo-Christian modern realm of morality and conscience. The world was on war, and Waffen SS were the ultimate killing machines of the German militaristic empire, almost like Teutonic Knights in the Middle Ages. Assuredly destroyed enemies, murdered civilians and burnt villages, fighting in excruciating conditions to death, until they lost the battle. That's the nature of the war. They were proud gladiators, not visionary poets... After the World War II and even nowadays the Nazi soldiers became scapegoats for the crappy average capitalistic human being. I hate when people don't know anything about anything, yet seem to have opinions about everything (as Boyd R. said) or dreaming of a world without odds and wars. I do believe in hate as where as I believe in love. Therefore peace has no meaning without the shade of war. Heraclitus was not an idiot, and Buddha never thought about possible threats from alien races in the ulterior humanoid future! Just saying. Nazis will always be a harsh but fascinating and charming chapter of History for every restless spirit.
Postscript: Neo-Nazis, and especially Anti-Nazis and Communists go suck a dirty donkey's cock.
Lyrics
SS marschiert in Feindesland,

Full Transcript
In this slideshow, I will introduce you to the principled ideal of black magick, called Godhood.
An axiom is a self-evident truth, for example, the prerequisites of magick.
What is necessary to perform magick?
The sorcerer needs to exist—individuality.
The sorcerer cannot be restricted from magick—freedom.
The sorcerer needs strength—power.
These three axioms constitute the principles of the Left Hand Path. In other words, black magicians uphold these essentials first and foremost, and measure their own conduct against them.
---
An ideal is a theoretical ambition derived from principle.
The ideal of the Left Hand Path is known as Ascent to Godhood, which is the condition of maximum individuality, freedom, and power.
No human has ever proved the existence of god, nor demonstrated the attainment of true Godhood, thus the ideal remains theoretical. Nevertheless, it encapsulates the duty of black magicians.
---
Acknowledgement that the ideal is theoretical and not actual, differentiates philosophy from religion.
Black magick comprises a philosophy in that it admits idealism, whereas white magick comprises a religion in that it believes that its fiction is real.
As an example, the Left Hand Path concedes that Godhood exists as a theory, because we know we cannot prove it. The Right Hand Path believes that divinity exists in actuality, even though they cannot prove it.
---
In mythology, a sovereign god possesses omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence.
Hence, in accord with the ideal of Godhood, sorcerers enact the praxeology of divination, evocation, and soul travel.
We call these the Three Godlike Powers.
---
Adversarialism, the ethic of Satanism, means rebellion against tyranny, in particular, revolt against coercive divinity.
Adversarialism defends the ideal of Godhood, in that a black magician fights back against any force that tries to stop their Ascent.
---
In summary, a valid philosophy commences with self-evident axioms, which derive the principles, amount to the ideal, and enable the praxeology.
The Left Hand Path commences with the axioms of magick, which derive the principles of individuality, freedom, and power, amount to the ideal of Godhood, and enact the praxeology of divination, evocation, and soul travel.
This concludes the theory of the ideal of black magick.

This concludes the theory of the ideal of black magick.

http://www.actualvirtualjournal.com/2014/11/av16.html
This talk returns to questions and problems in Deleuze’s philosophy of time through a critical discussion of McTaggart’s famous refutation of time. Nearly all work on McTaggart’s refutation focuses on narrow versions of his arguments about A and B series, but when we look at it in relation to Deleuze, some well-rehearsed and other little known but very important features stand out differently. For instance, both thinkers insist on the importance of events in time, on counter-intuitive ideas about reality and on differences between related series. Yet, the roots of McTaggart’s philosophy and approach to time are Hegelian and his arguments about the unreality of time are prepared in his early work on Hegel’s logic, with final aims in eternity and the absolute, and commitments to forms of logic and idealism greatly at odds with Deleuze’s work. This provides a deep opposition to Deleuze’s explicitly anti-Hegelian philosophy and to Deleuze’s radical reworking of Nietzsche’s doctrine of eternal return. By considering their arguments together, it is possible to re-interpret some important Deleuzian concepts and to make others more clear. Finally, another much ignored feature of McTaggart’s argument is that it is designed to underpin and shape the practical role of philosophy. This is also true of Deleuze’s work on time, as revealed through the contrast with the Cambridge philosopher.

Audrey Frater, who runs Pathways to Success at MCC, was schooled in Jamaica and has deep experience in the U.S. in business and with non-profit organizations. She helps students to understand that academic achievement and engagement at MCC are actual, early, beginnings of paths to success in careers. Audrey, idealistic but practical, includes a range of measures and connections that "help the young find their way" -- a phrase that informs everything that Audrey and her staff do. The session offered a language of idealism and hope that is also practical.

For over the past decade, radical thinkers, most of them combining several disciplines in their analysis, and then I think of people such as Brian Massumi, Erin Manning, Bryan Rotman, Rosi Braidotti, Jane Bennett, Tim Morton, Slavoj Zizek, Manuel DeLanda and Quentin Meillassoux, increasingly show us that the type of thinking that has been dominating the ecological debates for so long now, are ill-conceptualized in a fundamental way. Often influenced by the work of Gilles Deleuze, it is now all across academia (from architecture (think Lars Spuybroek) to musicology (think Steve Goodman)), that scholars and scientists are mapping that the current state of the earth, of life, demands us to change our thinking about nature, about matter, about technology, and about our role in it, radically.
Crucial here is to tackle this anthropocentrism which lies deeply embedded not only in the dominant ideas about ecology, but in our thinking as a whole. Especially the writings of Immanuel Kant, as they had a major impact upon (German) Idealism, phenomenology and critical thinking, have established this central role of man in thought. Foucault already noted this in the early 1960's, yet "the end of man", as he indeed defined man a 19th century invention which we have to get rid of as soon as possible, still stirs the debate, today more than anywhere, in terms of ecology. Quentin Meillassoux most recently caused an uproar in academia, claiming that Kant’s thoughts, and especially his Subject (the I-think), functioning as the necessary point of departure for anything to come into existence, turned out to be the very “catastrophe” for thinking. This human self centeredness, this arrogance even, has removed us from the earth we live, alienating us from each other and even from ourselves.
In this paper my goal is to reread this ecological tradition central to European thought, starting with Spinoza with special attention to Deleuze and Quentin Meillassoux (who writes important contributions) as a means to realize that the human being is just another form of life that is nothing but a “fungal growth of which the planet is completely unaware”. To realize this deeply Spinozist position, in thought, we cannot be interested in objects, but we cannot be interested in subjects either. Contrary to how the ecological debate goes today, this tradition cannot but conclude that we are not entitled to save the world; we should allow the world to save the world. We should not open ourselves up to the world, as Derrida would have it. We should allow the world to open us up. We should become a target if we truly want to get rid of anthropocentrism and all of its devastations that keep on haunting us.
