Is the legalization of pedophilia right around the corner?
The underlying assumption that has led to the increasing legitimization of same-sex marriage is now fueling a growing effort in academic circles to mainstream pedophilia.
Once considered taboo, psychologists are beginning to walk down the same path LGBT activists established more than 50 years ago, insisting that pedophilia is an inborn “sexual orientation,” not a learned sexual behavior.

Chuck Todd had a very interesting segment featuring comedians/satirists Lewis Black W. Kamau Bell, and Laura Krafft. He was trying to examine the influence and impact of comedians in the body politic.
ewis Black had a backhanded stab at Chuck Todd and the traditional mainstream media news that caused Chuck Todd to tell an inconvenient truth.
“I have watched you and everybody else where somebody comes on,” Lewis Black said. “I don’t know how you do it. Because I would be barking at them. Because they sit there and go ‘glib glib [blah blah]’ and you sit there.”
Chuck Todd then interjected. “We all sit there because we all know the first time we bark is the last time we do the show,” Chuck Todd said. “… All of a sudden, no one will come on your show.”

Riffing off a piece by Salon’s Elias Isquith that argued that “The Daily Show tends to inspire glib cynicism more than outrage or understanding,” Meet the Press host Chuck Todd asked a troika of comedy professionals Sunday morning whether they found an ironic response to politics detrimental to increased engagement in it.
“You could say we’re somehow dumbing down something that’s been dumbed down over the course of my life,” responded man-ashtray Lewis Black. “We’ve moved closer to living at the corner where satire and reality intersect.”
Black said the oversaturation of news almost immediately deprives an event of its initial shock and quickly renders it into material. “You hear these people say the same things over and over; the first time you go, ‘What?!’ by by the third time a politician says something, you’re laughing.” (Comedy writer Laura Krafft countered that the increased accessibility of political news made for a more informed citizenry that could more readily appreciate smart humor of the Daily Show variety.)
W. Kamau Bell said comedy was a bulwark against actual, IRL cynicism. “Have you been on Twitter, on Facebook?” he asked. “The cynicism is there. If anything the Daily Show gives you hope.”
The panel roundly agreed that comedy can be more successful at puncturing narratives because, as Todd put it, they don’t have to worry about nobody coming on Meet the Press if they do so. “Comedy gets to bark,” Bell said. “But the weird thing is Fox News also gets to bark. Sometimes the left-learning media is afraid of barking. So they play a clip of The Daily Show.”

California was teetering on the edge of doom. Animosity between Los Angeles and San Francisco had grown out of control. War was looming in the hearts of men and women from Petaluma to Pacoima. Then, in early May, General Juan Gomez de los Angeles led his Southern troops in an offensive against the Bay Area. Once the Battle of San Francisco began there was no turning back . . . In Smog and Thunder is a mockumentary about a California civil war set in a vaguely recent past. The Great War of the Californias was the ultimate calamity in a state strewn with calamities. Based on the paintings of Sandow Birk, this film explores the history and the stories behind California's tragic conflict. The paintings, propaganda posters, and etchings convey the intense hatred that had built up between the two great California cities, Los Angeles and San Francisco. When the powder keg ignited, the state was quickly consumed by this horrible war. In Smog and Thunder tells its story through the humble words of the soldiers and citizens who lived through it: infantry privates, civilian yuppies, traffic reporters, colonels, generals, and gardeners. Our crackpot historian, who smooths over war crimes with juicy gossip, leaves you feeling confused and inferior. This grand procession makes you laugh and breaks your heart, but still leaves room for lunch.

Als Alternative zu den schwimmenden Vergnügungspalästen mit 2000 Kreuzfahrtpassagieren ist das moderne Segelschiff längst keine spleenige Tourismusidee mehr.
If people are born with a sexual attraction to minors, the argument goes, their “orientation” should be accepted as normative and not stigmatized.
James Cantor, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist in the Law and Mental Health Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, a large mental health and teaching hospital in Canada and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, is regarded internationally as a leading “sexologist” studying pedophilia.
Cantor says his research concludes pedophiles share distinct characteristics of “brain wiring.” He contends some 1 to 5 percent of all men are predisposed to be primarily sexually attracted to children.
In a New York Times report on Cantor’s work Dec. 22, reporter Laura Kane noted pedophilia “has been widely viewed as a psychological disorder triggered by early childhood trauma.”
However, many experts now, she wrote, “see it as a biologically rooted condition that does not change – like a sexual orientation – thanks largely to a decade of research by Dr. James Cantor at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.”
Last fall, the American Psychological Association caused an uproar when the latest edition of its vaunted Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders called pedophilia a “sexual orientation.”
After inquiries from news organizations, the APA issued a “correction” stating “sexual orientation” is not a term “used in the diagnostic criteria for pedophilic disorder.”
Discover how “radicals, elitists and pseudo-experts sell us corruption disguised as freedom” in David Kupelian’s classic bestseller, “The Marketing of Evil.”
In a speech at a meeting of the Association for the Treatment of Sex Abusers, Cantor traced the idea that pedophilia is a characteristic of the brain to the work of Richard von Krafft-Ebing, an Austro-German psychiatrist.
Krafft-Ebing’s defining book, “Psychopathia Sexualis,” first published in 1886, defined various sexual practices, including homosexuality, bisexuality and pedophilia, as pathologies determined by a mental state that ultimately traced to a brain disorder.
Cantor rejects Krafft-Ebing’s moral judgment and defines various “paraphilia” behaviors as sexual inclinations caused by observable differences in brain structures and functioning, which he calls “brain wiring.”
Cantor’s research team at the Kurt Freund Phallometric Lab conducts experiments with convicted sex offenders. The men are shown nude images of children and adults of various sexes, while a device measures blood flow to their penises, the Times report said.
The method, called phallometry, was invented by Freund in the 1950s. Cantor said it accurately measures sexual interests in 90 percent of men.
Cantor has found pedophiles are shorter, on average, and are three times more likely to be left-handed or ambidextrous. Their IQs are about 10 to 15 points lower, and they are more prone to childhood head injuries, a characteristic Cantor attributes to an inborn clumsiness.
Cantor finds that pedophiles are overwhelmingly men, about one-third of whom prefer boys, about one-third prefer girls and one-third are attracted to both.
In an interview with the Canadian show “The Agenda” on the channel TVO, Cantor said pedophilia is not a psychological disorder of something “that went wrong in their parenting,” but a biological disorder such that “there’s something in the brain of a pedophile that is different from what’s in the brain of a non-pedophile.”

Donald Trump to Anderson Cooper: ‘ Donald Trump's boisterous personality is fueling his campaign, but the billionaire businessman insists there is also a more dignified side to him. In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper on Wednesday, Trump — who created one of the most memorable moments of the 2016 campaign so far by sharing rival Lindsey Graham's cell phone number on national television — suggested that he would shift his rhetoric as president.
"As president, you would change your tone?" Cooper asked.
"Oh, I'd think so," Trump said. "I'll change my tone."
Trump defended his recent attacks on his fellow candidates, saying he has been hitting back because he was first provoked.
"I didn't start it with Lindsey Graham. I couldn't care less about Lindsey Graham. He's registered at I think zero in the polls," Trump said. "Lindsey Graham called me a jackass. So am I supposed to say, 'Oh, it's OK'? I'm called a jackass. You have to fight back."
RELATED: Lindsey Graham: Donald Trump is a 'jackass'
The former host of "The Apprentice" was referring to comments Graham made in an interview with CNN's Kate Bolduan earlier this week. The South Carolina Republican has harshly criticized Trump for making disparaging comments about Sen. John McCain's service in the Vietnam War.
Trump remarked last weekend that McCain, a decorated veteran who spent more than five years in captivity and denied early release, was a "war hero because he was captured."
"I like people that weren't captured, OK?" Trump said, drawing swift and widespread criticism.
Being called a "jack ass" seems to have clearly struck a nerve with Trump. At a campaign event in South Carolina Tuesday, he called Graham an "idiot," then deployed an unorthodox method of political payback: he read out loud Graham's cell phone number.
"Let's try it," Trump said, twice reciting a 202 area code phone number and goading the audience to "give it a shot."
On Wednesday, Trump told Cooper that he had been "unfairly" targeted by Graham — whom Trump said just years ago had solicited him for money and advice.
"I was called names by somebody," Trump said. "Somebody that's hitting me saying what a bad guy I am, who was up in my office asking for money, and asking if I can get him on television.
Trump, who has recently taken the lead among GOP candidates in national polls, also said he wasn't worried about his high unfavorability ratings.: GOP to Trump: You crossed the line
"I mean, I turned a lot of them around, and as you know in North Carolina, it was negative and now it's like, tremendously positive," he said. " hen people hear what I said about the vets, and how strong my commitment is to the vets that have been they've been treated so badly and to the border, which is just horrible, I mean every time people listen to me, all of a sudden it becomes very favorable."
'Repenting is terrific'
At the same event where Trump ignited a political firestorm by questioning McCain's service in Vietnam, he said something else that raised eyebrows.
Discussing his faith, Trump said he had never asked forgiveness from God.
"When I drink my little wine -- which is about the only wine I drink -- and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness," he said.
In Wednesday's interview, Trump said it wasn't so much that he's opposed to the idea of repentance -- "I think repenting is terrific," he quipped -- but that he doesn't make a lot of mistakes that require asking for forgiveness.
"I try and lead a life where I don't have to ask God for forgiveness," he said. "Why do I have to ask for forgiveness if you're not making mistakes? I work hard, I'm an honorable person."
On describing taking communion as eating a "little cracker," he said the comments were all good-natured and that the audience took no offense.
"We were having fun when I said, I drink the wine, I eat the cracker -- but we're talking about communion and you know what, the whole room was laughing," he said.
Political reporters are 'really dishonest'
If Trump could have it his way, the 2016 campaign would be covered by the financial press rather than political reporters.
The real estate mogul bristled when Cooper mentioned a newly released Quinnipiac University poll that showed Trump with a high unfavorability rating in the early states.
Poliitcal reporters, however, are a different breed, he said. "I find that 60, 70% of the political media is really, really dishonest."
Sandra Bland controversy
Trump weighed in on the controversial arrest of an African-American woman in Texas that has garnered national backlash.
A dashcam video shows a Texas state trooper pulling over a woman named Sandra Bland earlier this month for allegedly failing to use her turn signal. The exchange between the officer and Bland quickly gets heated when Bland declines to put out her cigarette, and is asked to get out of her vehicle.

(CNN)Donald Trump's boisterous personality is fueling his campaign, but the billionaire businessman insists there is also a more dignified side to him.
