The bluebirds are a group of medium-sized, mostly insectivorous or omnivorous birds in the genus Sialia of the thrush family (Turdidae). Bluebirds are one of the few thrush genera in the Americas. They have blue, or blue and red, plumage. Female birds are less brightly colored than males, although color patterns are similar and there is no noticeable difference in size between sexes.
Species:
Bluebirds are territorial, prefer open grassland with scattered trees.(similar to many species of woodpecker). Bluebirds can typically produce between two and four broods during the spring and summer (March through August in the Northeastern United States). Males identify potential nest sites and try to attract prospective female mates to those nesting sites with special behaviors that include singing and flapping wings, and then placing some material in a nesting box or cavity. If the female accepts the male and the nesting site, she alone builds the nest and incubates the eggs.
Predators of young bluebirds in the nests can include snakes, cats and raccoons. Non-native and native bird species competing with bluebirds for nesting locations include the Common Starling, American Crow, and House Sparrow, which take over the nesting sites of bluebirds, killing young and smashing eggs and probably killing adult bluebirds.

Together they are going to make the day pay off... all night long!
The oldest profession in a new-look comedy
Bill: I'm an idea man Chuck, I get ideas all day long. I can't control them. I can't even fight 'em [could be 'find 'em'] if I want to. You know, 'AAAA!' So I say 'em in here and that way I never forget 'em. You see what I'm sayin'?"
Bill: So there I was at the Blackjack table with all my wash 'n' dries... did I tell you I had they idea for them first?
Bill: OK, here's an example. Watch out, stand back. [speaks into tape recorder] This is Bill. Idea to eliminate garbage: edible paper. You see, you eat it, it's gone. Eat it, it's out of there!
Bill: What if you mix the mayonnaise in the can, WITH the tunafish? Or... hold it! Chuck! I got it! Take LIVE tuna fish, and FEED 'em mayonnaise! Oh this is great.::[speaks into tape recorder]::Bill: Call Starkist!
Bill: You tellin' me to shut up?::Chuck: I'm telling you to shut up! I will tell your recorder so that you don't forget! [Chuck picks up tape recorder and turns it on] Hello, this is Chuck to remind Bill to SHUT UP!
Bill: We're all adults here - we can talk about this openly...::[writing on chalkboard]::Bill: PROSTITUTION! But what does that mean really? Sometimes it helps to understand a word if you break it down, so let's do that now shall we? Pros... it doesn't mean anything, you can forget about that... Tit, I think we all know what that means, Tu, two tit and TION of course, from the Latin to shun... to say uh-uh no thank you anyway I don't want it, to push away... it doesn't even belong in this word really.
Leonard: Oh, that Barney Rubble. What an actor.
Bill Blazejowski: I wash my hands and my feet of you!
Belinda Keaton: Bill, Bill, are you all right? Did you break anything, Bill?::Bill Blazejowski: I caught an updraft.::Chuck Lumley: Are you ok?::Bill: Yeah, I'm all right, don't worry, I'm all right, fortunately the ground broke my fall.
Chuck Lumley: As we sit here and idly chat, there are woman, female human beings, rolling around in strange beds with strange men, and we are making money from that.::Bill Blazejowski: Is this a great country, or what?
Plot
Located in the US Rust Belt, Charlestown is home of the hapless Chiefs, a losing Federal League hockey team whose games are poorly attended. To make money, the team's unknown owner makes its manager, Joe McGrath, do cheesy publicity much to the players' chagrin. Rumors abound among the players that if the local mill closes, the team will fold. Just before the official announcement is made, the team's aging player/coach, Reggie Dunlop, does get wind that the mill is indeed closing and that this season will be the team's last. Beyond efforts to reconcile with his wife Francine, who loves Reggie but doesn't love his career, Reggie begins to focus on how to renew interest in the team for a possible sale as he knows if the team folds, his hockey career is over. Without telling anyone of his plan, he begins a rumor that the owner is negotiating a sale with a city in Florida. He also decides that "goon" hockey - most especially using the untapped talents of the recently acquired childlike but quietly menacing Hanson brothers - is the way to renew local interest. It works as the team begins to attract new fans, sell out games, sell out away games attended largely by their groupies, and win, which does fuel the rumor of a sale. The one team member who doesn't like this new style is Ned Braden, a college graduate who plays the game solely because he loves it. His hockey career is against the wishes of his tomboyish wife, Lily, who hates everything about Charlestown and being a hockey wife. Reggie's goal of winning the league championship and having the team sold takes a turn when he finally meets the team's owner and discovers the owner's motivations. Ned, with his own views of what is right and wrong in hockey, may come up with an unexpected way to achieve all their goals.

you'll see Paul Newman doing things you'd never expect him to do... saying things you'd never expect him to say!
If this movie doesn't make you laugh, you better look up a psychiatric!!
Jim Carr: Well I may be bald, but at least I'm not chickenshit like you!
Reggie Dunlop: Hey Hanrahan! Hanrahan! Hanrahan - Suzanne sucks pussy! Hey Hanrahan she's a dyke! I know, I know! She's a lesbian, a lesbian, a lesbian!
[after meeting the Hansons]::Reggie Dunlop: Oh you cheap son of a bitch. Are you crazy? Those guys are retards!::McGrath: I got a good deal on those boys. The scouts said they showed a lot of promise.::Reggie Dunlop: They brought their fuckin' TOYS with 'em!::McGrath: Well, I'd rather have em playin with their toys than playin with themselves::Reggie Dunlop: They're too dumb to play with themselves. Boy, every piece of garbage that comes into the market and you gotta buy it!::McGrath: Reg, Reg, that reminds me. I was coachin' in Omaha in 1948 and Eddie Shore sends me this guy who was a terrible masturbator, you know, couldn't control himself. Why, he would get deliberate penalties so he could get over in the penalty box all by himself and damned if he wouldn't... you know...
Reggie Dunlop: She underlines the fuck scenes for ya? Jesus, if she underlines the fuck scenes for ya, she must worship the ground you walk on.::Ned Braden: They teach you how to underline in college.::Reggie Dunlop: Not the fuck scenes, they don't. Braden, you gotta learn to put out more, you know what I mean?
Jim Carr: Ned, what's a young man of your background still doing playing professional hockey?::Ned Braden: I hate my father.::Jim Carr: Is that right?::Ned Braden: That's what I said, isn't it?
Lily Braden: You're bullshit, you're really bullshit.::Ned Braden: You're drunk.::Reggie Dunlop: You're right, he's bullshit.::Lily Braden: Yeah? Well, he and I are the only decent items in this town::[Leaves]::Reggie Dunlop: That's great. Why should she care what anyone thinks about her? Shes just scrappin' Hey, how does Braden treat her? Is he nice to her?::Denis Lemieux: Oh yeah, he love her. He tell me 'I love her.'::Reggie Dunlop: Well, maybe Braden's a faggot, you ever think of that?::Denis Lemieux: No way, he got a big cock, like horse.
[after losing at poker]::Denis Lemieux: Fuck. I lose my blouse.::Jim Ahern: Shirt... shirt.::Denis Lemieux: Shit.
Ned Braden: You take the van, I'll keep the dog.
McGrath: Good crowd out there tonight, boys, let's really try to win this one.::Ned Braden: You have to hand it to the old bastard, he's highly original.::Jim Ahern: That man traveled 15 hours by bus to say that?
[repeated line]::Dickie Dunn: I tried to capture the spirit of the thing.
[last lines, about Drosselmeyer]::Narrator: ...for he knew that miracles are born in the dreams of children.
Narrator: [from the videotaped introduction to the film] Now why would anybody write about a nutcracker? Well, nutcrackers nowadays are pretty plain affairs, but in the olden days, master craftsmen would outdo one another carving nutcrackers from wood or from metal.
Narrator: There's not an apartment window or supermarket in sight, for this is a village in the Black Forest.

Plot
Cupid (who looks suspiciously like Elmer Fudd) is on the prowl around the farm. With his ever-accurate arrows (which have their tips replaced with suction cups for safety's sake), he spreads love to sometimes unwilling recipients. But when he sets his sights on Daffy, the duck wants no part of it. When Elm...erm...Cupid fires the largest arrow at his disposal at the hapless duck, Daffy falls for the nearest hen...who happens to be the main squeeze of the cock of the walk...

Daffy Duck: Say, keep your arrows out of other people's businessesses... buster! You shot me last year, and look what happened. Tied down. No more fun. Now look at me. A has-been. A hen-pecked duck. A canvasback Cassanova. And it's your fault, you bare-backed bandit. So beat it, bub. Take a powder. Scram!
If I fall like rain
Will you still feel the same
Will you hold me and call out my name
If I'm lost in the crowd
Will you shout out loud
Will you take me to the other side of town
When that sun beats down
Will you stay
Will you turn around
And fly away
Like a bluebird tail wing
It sounds just like the angel singing
Am I ever gonna see you again
Bluebird with a brand new wing
If my heart turns blue
Will it still belong to you
Will you keep it just like him
If I lose my wing
Will I hear you sing
You will make my tears go away
When that sun beats down
Will you stay
Will you turn around
And fly away
Like a bluebird tail wing
It sounds just like the angel singing
Am I ever gonna see you again
Bluebird with a brand new wing
When that sun beats down
Will you stay
Will you turn around
And fly away
Like a bluebird tail wing
It sounds just like the angel singing

Am I ever gonna see you again
Bluebird with a brand new wing
Bluebird with a brand new wing
Bluebird, bluebird singing me a new song
Bluebird, Bluebird hello to you.
Red bird, red bird building up a new nest
Red bird, red bird hello to you.
Hello to all the flowers in the garden
Hello to all the fish in the pond
Hello to all the trees in the forest
Hello to you and me.
Bluebird, bluebird singing me a new song
Bluebird, Bluebird hello to you.
Ladybug, ladybug crawling on my finger
Ladybug, ladybug hello to you
Chipmunk, chipmunk chewing on a chestnut
Chipmunk, chipmunk hello to you
Little friend, little friend coming out to play now
Little friend, little friend hello to you
Bluebird, bluebird singing me a new song
Bluebird
Bring back my happiness
And see me through
This clouded hour
Bluebird
On wings of loveliness
Carry me to a field
In flower
Thunder
Comes roaring up inside
I see a purple tide
And shadows weigh me
Bluebird
I wait with tenderness
So bring his love
To me
Bluebird
Bring back my loneliness
And see me through
This crowded hour
Bluebird
Where once was hopefulness
This heart has [Incomprehensible]
[Incomprehensible]
Culture
Carries me in its swell
I see the faces well
Too well for a dream
Bluebird
Bring back my happiness
Oh, bring his loving heart
Good morning, honey
Good morning darlin'
Did you have a good nights sleep?
Yes, I slept very deep
Did you have sweet dreams?
That depends what you mean
That bluebird came and whispered in my ear
Did it tell you that I'd die for you my dear?
Did he tell you that?
He surely did. alright then
He perched on my window sill
He went 'don't you wait until
That man you love has gone away
Bluebird, what can I do but pray?
I don't care what that birds saying
There ain't no need for praying
Except to pray that bluebird stays away
Forever next to you I'll always lay
Goodnight my darlin'
Goodnight my honey
Close your eyes and go to sleep
Tonight I'll sleep very deep
I'm A Bluebird, L'm A Bluebird
Yeah ,Yeah ,Yeah.
I'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird,
I'm A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Touch Your Lips With A Magic Kiss
And You'll Be A Bluebird Too,
And You'll Know What Love Can Do.
L'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird
L'm A Bluebird, L'm A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
L'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird,
L'm A Bluebird,
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird.
Fly Away Through The Midnight Air
As We Head Across The Sea,
And At Last We Will Be Free.
You're A Bluebird, You're A Bluebird,
You're A Bluebird, You're A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
You're A Bluebird, You're A Bluebird
You're A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah ,Yeah.
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird.
All Alone On A Desert Island
We're Living In The Trees,
And We're Flying In The Breeze.
We're The Bluebirds, We're The Bluebirds
We're The Bluebirds, We're The Bluebirds
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
We're The Bluebirds, We're The Bluebirds
We're The Bluebirds
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Newly winged and in love with the skies
I'm forced to crawl bound up with the ground
i can only pray to the sun that it ain't forever
You say "i'll protect you from the melting heat"
but I'm dying to fall if that makes me breath
i can only pray to the sun that it ain't forever
I can't paint my hands all my blood flows in vain
star-crossed and lost
Bluebird
I leave at the dusk to converse with the stars
The Spires of Night will welcome their child
i can only pray to the moon that it stays forever
And so we dance in the Wretched Halls
The Tarantella, the dance of the ghosts
i can only pray to the moon that it stays forever
I can't paint my hands all my blood flows in vain
In the margin of life northing's left for the sane
I can't paint my hands all my blood flows in vain
ill-fated forlorn
Bluebird
We run together with ghouls of Nephren-Ka
Our eyes glitter like some distant alien stars
Breeds of life should cling to their sun
Children of death remain in the marshes of the dark.
I will finish the tale before the chaos dawns
The tune seems spoiled and the rhymes gone wrong
I can only keep you charmed, it has never happened
The wolf roams free, Sleeping Beauty's awake
Alice's back from the plane of the fake
Listen to my bluebird laugh
She can't tell you why
Deep within her heart, you see
She knows only crying, just crying
There she sits, aloft a perch
Strangest color blue
Flying is forgotten now
Thinks only of you, just you, oh yeah
So get all those blues
Must be a thousand hues
And be just differently used
You just know
You sit there mesmerized
By the depth of her eyes
That you can't categorize
She got soul, she got soul
She got soul, she got soul
Do you think she loves you?
Do you think at all?
Soon she's going to fly away
Sadness is her own
Give herself a bath of tears
There's a bluebird in my heart
That wants to get out but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I'm not going to let anybody see you.
There's a bluebird in my heart
That wants to get out but I pour whiskey on him
And inhale cigarette smoke
And the whores and the bartenders and the grocery clerks
Never know that he's in there.
There's a bluebird in my heart
That wants to get out but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay down, do you want to mess me up?
Do you want to screw up the works?
Do you want to blow my book sales in Europe?
There's a bluebird in my heart
That wants to get out but I'm too clever,
I only let him out at night sometimes when everybody's asleep.
I say, I know that you're there, so don't be sad.
Then I put him back, but he's singing a little in there,
I haven't quite let him die
And we sleep together like that with our secret pact
And it's nice enough to make a man weep,
( Instrumental )
Listen to my bluebird sing

Deep within her heart you see
She knows I must cry
Yeah, cry
Here she sits aloft that bird
Strangest color blue
Flying is forgotten now

You just know
You sit there mesmerized
By the depth of her eyes

She got soul
She got soul
She got soul
She got soul
Do u think she loves you
Do u think
At all
Soon she's going to fly away
Worries of her own
Find herself another day
And go home
I don't love, I just give up
Not gonna try to understand
Give it way every day
I don't think I'm gonna understand
Uh, getting out of hand
Don't you want to love me all over again?
Uh, coming over me
Don't you want to see me mistreat me?
Try to make a fire burn again
Bless my soul, I fill my bowl
Not gonna try to understand
I wait for time, an easy mind
Don't think I'm gonna understand
Uh, getting out of hand
Don't you want to love me all over again?
Uh, coming over me
Don't you want to see me mistreat me?
Uh, getting out of hand
Don't you want to love me all over again?
Uh, coming over me
Don't you want to see me mistreat me?
Try to make a fire burn again
Lullaby of bird land that's what I always hear when you sigh
Never in my wordland could there be words to reveal in a phrase how I feel
But have you ever seen two turtledoves bill and coo when they love
That's the kind of magic music will make with our lips when we kiss
And there's a weepy old willow, well he knows, he really knows how to cry
And that's how I'll cry on my pillow if you should tell me a willing goodbye
Lullaby of bird land whisper low
One more kiss and then I'll go
Flying off to wordland
High in the sky up above
Just because we're in love
(scats)
Lullaby of bird land whisper low
One more kiss and then I'll go
Flying off to wordland
High in the sky up above
Bluebird, bluebird where you been
Man it's been a while since I've seen you friend
Looking out my window all I ever see
My reflection, bluebird and me
Bluebird, bluebird sing your song
Waiting on nobody to sing along
Sitting in the window why can't you see
Bluebird, bluebird you're just like me
Bluebird, bluebird don't fly away
I want to meet you another day
Wings that fly now must be in
Bluebird don't leave me talking to the wind
Bluebird don't leave me talking to the wind
I'm lost in the night
The icy wind is howling out your name
And desolation lingers
Like a fog
The fires growing dimmer
In the wind
I'm out in the rain
The moon is gone behind the clouds again
And I can't stand to live
Another day
Cause my bluebird went away
And I'm locked in this room
With my sorrow
No escape
No way to get away
And my only connection
with tomorrow
Is hopin' that you might decide to not stay away
Well I'm out on a limb
If I could only find sweet love again
To live my life this way is too much to bear
Can't find my bluebird anywhere
I'm out in the rain
The moon is gone behind the clouds again
And I can't stand to live another day
Bluebird why'd you go away?
Word came through in a letter
One of us changing our minds
You won't need to guess who since I usually do
Not send letters to me that are mine
I told him I saw this coming
That I'd practically packed up my things
I was glad at the time that I said I was fine
But all honesty knows I wasn't ready, no
And so here we go, bluebird
Back to the sky on your own
Oh, let him go, bluebird
Ready to fly, you and I
Here we go
Here we go
This pair of wing's worn and rusted
From too many years by my side
They can carry me, swear to be sturdy and strong
But see, turning them on still means goodbye
And so here we go, bluebird
Gather your strength and rise up
Oh, let him go, bluebird
Oh, let him go, bluebird
Oh, let him go, bluebird
Ready to fly, you and I
Here we go
Here we go
My baby is a redbird flying across the sky
My baby is a bluebird learning how to fly
Your feathers want to, your feathers want to tickle me
In the shower, she swims right by me
Freezing water, so she's swimming rapidly
Clouds are sleeping, sleepin' in the sky
Clouds are sleeping over Sara's eyes
Dreams are lurking, lurking by the bed
I can be high as a bluebird flies if you'd love me
A mountain of love and the clear sky above me are all I'd see
Oceans and valleys and canyons and streams
So far below a river of dreams keeps haunting me
I could be high as a bluebird flies and never tell lies
When I look in your eyes, you're all that I see
I could be high, so high
High, so high
I could be strong as a river is long if you'd love me
Sweet harmony pouring all over me like a waterfall
I could be everything money can't buy
A rainbow at sunset, a tear in your eye when you are blue
I could be high as a bluebird flies and never tell lies
When I look in your eyes, you're all that I see
I could be high, so high
High, so high
You're an angel from heaven sent down from above
To answer my dreams and feel them with love, you're everything
I could be high as a bluebird flies and never tell lies
When I look in your eyes, you're all that I see
I could be high, so high,
High, so high
home, here with your family
home, to hell with the rest
I knew you were crazy
but never thought you would do this
blood, there's blood on the carpet
blood, there's blood on your hands
if the two are connected
i'll know where we stand
bluebird don't sing that song
no one wants to sing along
where all so scared of dying
bluebird don't fly too far
i won't know where you are when i
get so scared of dying
you caught in the middle
you cut to the core
you're left in the dust of decisions
begging for more
now you're high and alone
be careful don't swallow your tongue
just put an ear to the ground where you did it
wait for them to come
bluebird don't sing that song
no one wants to sing along
we're all so scared of dying
bluebird don't fly too far
i won't know where you are when i
The stars have gone from the sky,
and tears are here in my eyes.
And I, I don't want this to be.
I don't have you but you still have me.
I try but the words come out wrong.
I lie awake all night long
And oh, when it's raining it pours.
You're not mine, but I am still yours.
The happy bluebird sings a beautiful melody.
But oh such a song is meaningless
without you to hear it with me.
I cry cause I know that it's true.
(John Lee Hooker)
Bluebird, please take this letter down south for me
Oh, bluebird take this letter down south for me
Don't you two start flyin', 'til you find little Liza
Belle for me
Lord, she way down, she's way down in Jackson, Tennessee
Bluebird, she's way down south in Jackson, Tennessee
She may not be home but please knock upon her door
Bluebird, bluebird, please do this for me
Ooh, bluebird, please do this for me
If you see my baby, tell her I want her to come back home
Yeah, I'm lost in the night
The icy wind is howling out your name
And desolation lingers like a fog
The fire is growing dimmer in the wind
I'm out in the rain
The moon has gone behind the cloud again
And I can't stand to live another day
'Cause my bluebird went away
And I'm locked in this room with my sorrow
No escape, no way to get away
And my only connection with tomorrow
Is hoping that you might decide not to stay away
I'm out on a limb
If I could only find sweet love again
To live my life this way is too much to bare
Can't find my bluebird anywhere, anywhere
I'm lost in the night
The icy wind is howling out your name
And desolation lingers like a fog
The fire is growing dimmer with the wind
I'm out in the rain
The moon has gone behind the cloud again
I can't stand to live another day
Bluebird, why did you go away?
Tell me, bluebird, why did you go away?
Little bluebird, why did you go away?
The streets, the signs are pointing all one way
But you don't realise just what they say
You may fight (you may fight), you may run (you may run),
You may know (you may know) what you've done (what you've done)
Ah, It makes me feel so sad (makes me feel so sad)
To think what I might've had (what I might've had)
I watch the stars (I watch the stars),
I watch the sun (I watch the sun), now I watch for anyone
But it's only make believe.
You work (work, work, work),
You work, you work so hard, and then (work, work, work, work)
Someone, someone will come around again (work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work)
You may think (you may think) it's for real (it's for real),
But you know (but you know) how you feel (how you feel)
The places that I go (places that I go)
Don't feel good anymore (don't feel good anymore)
I see it all rainbows in fall, I see her face upon my wall
But it's only make believe.
Fly away, bluebird, fly away for me
To a place somewhere far across the sea
Fly away (fly away), far away (far away),
Don't look back (don't look back), go today (go today)
The waves that crash upon the sand (crash upon the sand)
Another place, a far-off land (places far-off land)
And every day (and every day) I have to stay (I have to stay)
But you are free, you could fly away (fly away),
But it's only make believe.
Ooh (work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work)
Ooh (work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work)
Bluebird, bluebird, fly away for me
(Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work).
Bluebird, bluebird, fly away
(Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work).
Bluebird, bluebird, fly away for me
(Bluebird, bluebird, bluebird, bluebird)
Bluebird, bluebird, fly away
(Bluebird, bluebird, bluebird, bluebird).
Bluebird, fly away, away, away
(Bluebird, bluebird, bluebird).
A bluebird, bluebird, fly away for me
Bluebird take me on your wing
Teach me how to fly
Teach me how to sing
Bluebird, guardian of my soul
Inside everybody
Is a story to be told
I came in from the cold
When I found someone
Strong enough to bear
The strain of our existence
And troubles everywhere
But time heals
And I know you'll be there... ooh
Bluebird symphony in flight
Symbol of the dawn
Symbol of the night
I'll try with all my might to be a brother
Always there for you
Mother (mother, mother) knowing what to do
And farther than anyone has flown
Courage to spread your wings alone
And who will help me
Bluebird
Bluebird stranger to these shores
I look into your eyes
Have you been here before
Take me through the door to Heaven
And show me
The treasures that you keep
The magic of the sky
And the beauty of the deep
And I'll do what I have to do
To be one of the chosen few
Fly anywhere with...
You, Bluebird
Bluebird, Bluebird (Yeh)
Bluebird on a telephone line. How are you? I'm feeling fine. Sweetly do I whisper your name. Lonely solo taxi ride to a
cheap motel on the wrong side of the tracks. The facts are tricky to explain. Cold front bearing down, blowing in from
Birmingham. By dawn the window's wet with icy rain. Behind fourteen doors, a sad parade of paramours are throwing little
white rocks at sorrow's window pane. Me, I've found someone to love more than the rain. Salvation Army ringing bell,
kingdom come and wishing wells. Hey Santa Claus I see your junkie eyes. It's the devil and the deep blue sea, with old
friends I hope I never see again all tangled up with misery and lies. The lonely hiss of passing cars feeds the ache of
ancient scars, like ghosts beneath my bed rattling chains. No good luck charm or remedy ever proved to soothe my sanity
nor bad medicine served to ease my pain. Had to find someone to love more than the rain. Now, old habits will die hard.
This pile of junk setting in my yard... souvenirs from the wrecking ball of dreams. You spend a lifetime tearing temples
down, it gets to feel like hallowed ground is a shallow grave where ne'er the bluebird sings. Last time home when I played
this song, you said "Dad, it's sad, and way too long." And I pulled you close and held you in my arms. Yes, salvation
wears a thin disguise 'cause I can see the heaven in your eyes. And I thank God them years I searched were not in vain...
Bluebird
by Paul McCartney
Late At Night When The Wind Is Still
I'll Come Flying Through Your Door,
And You'll Know What Love Is For.
I'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird
I'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird
Yeah ,Yeah ,Yeah.
I'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird,
I'm A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Touch Your Lips With A Magic Kiss
And You'll Be A Bluebird Too,
And You'll Know What Love Can Do.
I'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird
I'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
I'm A Bluebird, I'm A Bluebird,
I'm A Bluebird,
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird.
Fly Away Through The Midnight Air
As We Head Across The Sea,
And At Last We Will Be Free.
You're A Bluebird, You're A Bluebird,
You're A Bluebird, You're A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
You're A Bluebird, You're A Bluebird
You're A Bluebird
Yeah, Yeah ,Yeah.
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird.
All Alone On A Desert Island
We're Living In The Trees,
And We're Flying In The Breeze.
We're The Bluebirds, We're The Bluebirds
We're The Bluebirds, We're The Bluebirds
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
We're The Bluebirds, We're The Bluebirds
We're The Bluebirds
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird
Ah Ha,
Bluebird.
Robin Trower - Bluebird lyrics
Album: In City Dreams
Sittin' in the wood alone,
On silver tree that turned to stone –
Branches growin' overhead;
Make your house and feather bed.
Shiny beak and shiny eyes,
Shiny winter paradise.
Singin' to the settin' sun;
Prayin' for the day that's done;
Growin' qui'ter as you watch the snow:
Fallin' down – down - Down – down…
If you want to know his heart?,
Listen… Listen to the bluebird sing…
If I had a voice like thine -
Melody like summer wine -
From sunshine islands, I would bring
Music to the newborn king.
Growin' qui'ter as you watch the snow:
Fallin' down – down - Down – down…
If you want to know his heart?,
Listen… Listen to the bluebird sing…
Instrumental Break
Growin' qui'ter as you watch the snow:
Fallin' down – down - Down – down…
If you want to know his heart?,
Listen… Listen to the bluebird sing…
Do do-do do do-do do…
Do do-do do do-do do…
Do do-do do do-do do…
Do do-do do do-do do…
Do do-do do do-do do…
(G. Thomas)
Don't the sky look blue today?
There's a bluebird on my window sill
There's a sunbeam through the clouds
In his song the voice is telling me
Heaven Help me
Heaven Help me
Love, love, love, love
I was lost, I found my way.
And the bluebird from my window sill
Well, he's followed me today
It's so clear now what he's telling me
Heaven help me
Oh, Father bless me -
Me and my gun...
I see you
Oh, you're so close
I taste your breath -
such wicked breath
Don't take this personally
You're being called home -
time to rest!
Rest, rest, rest
I've got my orders from above
It's my Crusade - Mission of Love
I've got my orders from above
It's my Crusade - Mission of Love
I've got my orders from above
It's my Crusade - Mission of Love
For you this bullet in His name.
Don't the sky look blue today?
And the bluebird from my window sill
Well, he's nowhere to be found
And I'm sure that he's forgiven me
though he's six feet underground
So I wait here for deliverance
still the world go 'round and 'round
And the voices
that once called to me -
Well, I listen...
Oh, yeah I listen...
I hear no sound.
Listen to my blue bird laugh, she can tell you why
Deep within her heart you see, she knows only right, whoa-oh just light
There she sits a lofty bird, the strangest color blue
Flying is forgotten now, she thinks only of you, woo just you
So get all those blues, must be a thousand hues
And each is differently used you just know
You sit there mesmerized by the depth of her eyes
If you categorize she got soul, she got soul, she got soul
Soon she's gon' to fly away, her sadness is her own
Leave beside her bath of tears, she'll go home, going home
Going home, going home, going home, going home
How the hell does a broken heart
Get back together when it's torn apart?
Teach itself to start beating again
Ba-ba-ba-ba
This little bluebird
Came looking for you
It said that I hadn't seen you
In quite some time
This little bluebird
She came looking again
I said we weren't even friends
She could have you
Don't you think it was hard?
I didn't even say that you died
But it wouldn't have been such a lie
'Cause then I started to cry
This little bluebird sure won't give it a rest
She swears that she may be better than all the rest
I said, no, you've got it all wrong
If he was something special I wouldn't have this song
And don't you think it was hard?
I didn't even say that you died
But it wouldn't have been such a lie
'Cause then I started to cry
How the hell does a broken heart
Get back together when it's torn apart?
And teach itself to start beating again
Ba-ba-ba-ba, ba-ba-ba-ba, ba-ba
What if when she comes over
I am in your arms?
Taking all I want from you again
Ba-ba-ba, ba-ba, ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba, ba-ba, ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba, ba-ba, ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba, ba-ba, ba-ba-ba
How the hell does a broken heart
Get back together when it's torn apart?
Teach itself to start beating again
Ba-ba-ba-ba
How the hell does a broken heart
Get back together when it's torn apart?
Teach itself to start beating again
Ba-ba-ba-ba, beating again, ba-ba-ba-ba
This little bluebird
Don't come 'round here anymore
So I went looking for her
Listen to my bluebird laugh
She can't tell you why
Deep within her heart, you see
She knows only crying, just crying
There she sits, aloft a perch
Strangest color blue
Flying is forgotten now
Thinks only of you, just you, oh yeah
So get all those blues
Must be a thousand hues
And be just differently used
You just know
You sit there mesmerized
By the depth of her eyes
That you can't categorize
She got soul, she got soul
She got soul, she got soul
Do you think she loves you?
Do you think at all?
Soon she's going to fly away
Sadness is her own
Give herself a bath of tears
Listen to my bluebird sing
She can't tell you why
Deep within her heart, you see
She knows I must cry
Yeah, cry
If she sits, a lofty perch
Strangest color blue
Flying is forgotten now
She just thinks of you
Yeah you
So, get all those blues
Must be a thousand hues
And each is differently used
You just know
You sit there mes-o-merized
By the depth of her eyes
Can't be categorized
She got soul
She got soul
She got soul
She got soul
Do you think she loves you?
Do you think at all?
Soon she's going to fly away
Worries of her own
Find herself another day
