Vijay Antony

Vijay Antony is an Indian music composer, playback singer and actor working in the Tamil film industry.

Career

Vijay Antony was born in Trichy and studied in St.Xavier Higher Secondary School,Tirunelveli Tamil Nadu, India. He obtained a degree from the Trinity College London and set up his own in-house studio called Audiophiles.

He made his debut as a music director in the 2006 film Dishyum, directed by Sasi.

He is the first Indian to win the 2009 Cannes Golden Lion for the Nakka Mukka commercial (for The Times of India) in the Best of Music category. Nakka Mukka raised his fame and that song was played in the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

In 2012, he made his acting debut, enacting the lead role in the thriller film Naan. His next venture as an actor and music director was Salim, in which he portrayed the same character from Naan; both Naan and Salim were sleeper hits.India Pakistan, his next release, a romantic comedy, was the first film he starred in but did not compose music for. He will next be acting in Pichaikkaran, collaborating with his Dishyum director Sasi.

Rima Kallingal

Rima Kallingal is an Indian model and film actress, predominantly appearing in Malayalam cinema. After being named First Runner-up in the Miss Kerala 2008 contest, she went to pursue a career in acting. She made her film debut in 2009 through the film Ritu later appeared in Neelathaamara (2009) and continues to work in Malayalam films. Her notable roles include in City of God, Indian Rupee, Nidra, 22 Female Kottayam and August Club. She has also appeared in a couple of Tamil films.

Biography

Born in Thrissur, Rima Kallingal began dancing when she was three years old. A dancer by profession, she has performed on national and international stages. She studied in Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Coonoor up to Fifth grade. She completed her schooling from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Thrissur, passing out in 2001. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Christ University, Bangalore. She is also skilled in Taekwondo (Korean martial art), Chao (Manipuri martial art) and Kalari.

Yuvan Yuvathi

Yuvan Yuvathi (Male Youth, Female Youth) is a 2011 Indian Tamil romance film, written and directed by G. N. R. Kumaravelan that stars Bharath and Rima Kallingal. The film released on 26 August 2011, receiving mixed to negative reviews and became a box office failure. The film was dubbed in Telugu under the title Dear.

Plot

Kathirvel Murugan (Bharath) is a software engineer in Chennai. He shares his room with friend Sakkarai (Santhanam). Kathir hails from Usilampatti but wants to project him as city-bred and his ambition is to settle in USA. Kathir's father Sevaka Pandian (Sampath Raj) is against his son's attitude. An influential local chieftain, he is against inter-caste marriage and love. Kathir meets Nisha (Rima Kallingal), who too wants to go abroad. The later loses her passport and Kathir helps her find it. Slowly Kathir falls for her. Meanwhile, Sevaka Pandian arranges for his son's wedding with a High Court judge's daughter, Thangameena (Anuja Iyer). In the meantime, Kathir and Nisha get their visa and get ready to leave together for USA.
