World is a common name for the whole of human civilization, specifically human experience, history, or the human condition in general, worldwide, i.e. anywhere on Earth.
In a philosophical context it may refer to: (1) the whole of the physical Universe, or (2) an ontological world (see world disclosure). In a theological context, world usually refers to the material or the profane sphere, as opposed to the celestial, spiritual, transcendent or sacred. The "end of the world" refers to scenarios of the final end of human history, often in religious contexts.
World history is commonly understood as spanning the major geopolitical developments of about five millennia, from the first civilizations to the present.
World population is the sum of all human populations at any time; similarly, world economy is the sum of the economies of all societies (all countries), especially in the context of globalization. Terms like world championship, gross world product, world flags etc. also imply the sum or combination of all current-day sovereign states.

The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History is a 1978 book by Michael H. Hart, reprinted in 1992 with revisions. It is a ranking of the 100 people who, according to Hart, most influenced human history.
The first person on Hart's list is the Prophet of Islam Muhammad. Hart asserted that Muhammad was "supremely successful" in both the religious and secular realms. He also believed that Muhammad's role in the development of Islam was far more influential than Jesus' collaboration in the development of Christianity. He attributes the development of Christianity to St. Paul, who played a pivotal role in its dissemination."
The 1992 revisions included the demotion of figures associated with Communism, such as Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong, and the introduction of Mikhail Gorbachev. Hart took sides in the Shakespearean authorship issue and substituted Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford for William Shakespeare. Hart also substituted Niels Bohr and Henri Becquerel with Ernest Rutherford, thus correcting an error in the first edition. Henry Ford was also promoted from the "Honorary Mentions" list, replacing Pablo Picasso. Finally, some of the rankings were re-ordered, although no one listed in the top ten changed position.

When it comes to the definition of sexy, it isn’t a black and white argument. What one person may consider ugly, another person may see it as stunning. As the old saying goes, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and the definition of sexy certainly changes depending which border you have crossed. What these differences lead to is a beautiful variety of sexiness that can appeal to many people. Plus, if any of these women cross cultures, then a new practice and tradition is introduced thanks to the open definition of sexy. Especially in North America, where it has become a melting pot of different cultural practices, the definition of sexy has changed over the last several decades. This is also thanks to the Internet and social media for connecting us all together and leading us to discuss what is beautiful.
There has been a lot of controversy when it comes to what is sexy and what is not. Recently, it has been exposed that women will go to great lengths to hurting themselves in order to fit into the definition of sexy. This has caused a revolution in how the world perceives standards of beauty. For example, in ancient China, the practice of foot binding was an extreme in what women would do to make themselves more appealing to the opposite sex. This practice caused severe deformations in women’s feet, and alarmed people around the world. But when the 20th century rolled around, the practice was exposed and shunned. In Japan, having wild and crazy styles, also known as “Gyaru”, is a new fashion trend that is considered to be sexy among the Japanese people. This includes hair that is two different colors, crazy outfits, and insane makeup. Not only does it attract the attention of those around you, it also has the potential to attract mates. Sexy is a funny thing, especially in the country of Iran, where having battle scars from a nose job has more odd of landing you a date than putting on makeup.
From piercings to body modifications, this video contains a list of several countries around the world and how they define sexy according to their cultural history. It is fascinating to review these beliefs, as they have all contributed to our standards of beauty in one way or another. While the past has a lot of influence in our modern day beliefs, it is up to us to set the standard of sexy for the future. But it is up to us on how strict we make that standard.
Some of the definitions of what is sexy is dated, and is slowly becoming redefined in several counties. Hopefully, the changing of this definition around the world will contribute to the betterment of society and will encourage people to love the body and skin they are in no matter what size or color they are. In the future, it would be a sign of great progress when the definition of sexy is just natural beauty without the manipulation of surgery or other products.

NEW YORK – According to a Buzzfeed study, in recent years it has become increasingly prevalent in entertainment, media, and advertising to focus on the beauty of the “ideal” male form.
Although studies have shown that women continue to report higher numbers in regards to negative body image, the percentage of men admitting to body dissatisfaction is growing at a much faster rate.
Buzzfeed researchers, gathered information from professional publications, entertainment and social media to determine how popular culture and media have shaped our views on ideal male beauty.
They then created a video, using an international cast of gorgeous male models, to show just how drastically the physical attributes of the "ideal man" vary across 12 different countries.
According to their research, men, at least to the general public, are starting to care more about how they look and how that affects their perception of self.
This inspires a vast array of controversial discussions. The video and its accompanying study aim to put contemporary “ideal” male specimens under scrutiny, front and centre, as physical representations of a massive survey, both theoretical and empirical in nature.

NEW YORK – According to a Buzzfeed study, in recent years it has become increasingly prevalent in entertainment, media, and advertising to focus on the beauty of the “ideal” male form.
Although studies have shown that women continue to report higher numbers in regards to negative body image, the percentage of men admitting to body dissatisfaction is growing at a much faster rate.
Buzzfeed researchers, gathered information from professional publications, entertainment and social media to determine how popular culture and media have shaped our views on ideal male beauty.
They then created a video, using an international cast of gorgeous male models, to show just how drastically the physical attributes of the "ideal man" vary across 12 different countries.
According to their research, men, at least to the general public, are starting to care more about how they look and how that affects their perception of self.
This inspires a vast array of controversial discussions. The video and its accompanying study aim to put contemporary “ideal” male specimens under scrutiny, front and centre, as physical representations of a massive survey, both theoretical and empirical in nature.
The creators hope to spark a more open and important dialogue regarding men’s relationships with their bodies, ethnicity, masculinity and personal expression of beauty.

Over the past few months, I've received thousands of messages from people all over the world who suffer or have suffered from acne, an insecurity or self confidence issues.
I wanted to create a film that showed how social media can set unrealistic expectations on both women and men. One challenge many face today, is that as a society, we're so used to seeing false images of perfection, and comparing ourselves to unrealistic beauty standards that It can be hard to remember the most important thing - You ARE beautiful.
You are beautiful - no matter how flawed you feel, no matter how upset you may about the way you look or how hard you find it to make friends, or be confident. Believe in yourself, and never let anyone tell you're not beautiful - not even yourself.
