Christian Göbel & Kristian Auth's "At The Soul Inn" .
Since it was founded in 2006, on every first Saturday of each month there's no better place for friends of real Soul Music than the Lido: the whole dancefloor, housed in this old 50s cinema, bounces to the dynamic Soul Sound played from rare 45's. High ceilings, vintage furniture and a great wooden dancefloor make the Lido the perfect ballroom for a soul night.
When it comes to the music, we try to cover everything that will thrill a soul lover's heart: from Deep Funk to Rare Soul, from early R&B; to Boogaloo and Reggae Soul...vintage vinyl only from us and our international DJ guests.
A special treat for the early birds: a special Promo CD is waiting for the first 50 guests through the door. To find out more about the records we play on Berlin's biggest Soulnight, check out the gallery of some of our favourite records on our website, with scan facility and sound files. We've got over 300 45s listed at the moment, but I guess we will add shit loads more over the next months. The gallery is in no particular order -- just browse the pages or use the search function on the bottom of the left sidebar. Apart from that we uploaded all the free cd's we gave away over the last 36 months and a lot of old mixtapes, radioshows and live recordings, pictures, videos and so

Pucho Fernández
Leopoldo "Pucho" Fernández II (September 2, 1927 – July 29, 2008) was a Cuban-Puerto Rican comedian. He was the son of veteran Cuban comedian Leopoldo Fernández, known as Tres Patines.
Biography
Fernández was born on September 2, 1927 in La Habana, Cuba. He started working theater in Cuba when he was only 13 years old doing several minor jobs behind the curtains. However, he quickly started performing with his father in his show La Tremenda Corte.
In 1954, he came to Puerto Rico and was quickly hired as floor coordinator for Telemundo due to his knowledge of both English and Spanish. He was also the technical coordinator of El caso de la mujer asesinadita, one of the first Puerto Rican telenovelas. He also worked with producers Henry Lafont, Gaspar Pumarejo, Luis Vigoreaux, Marta Silva, and Fernando Hidalgo. Later on, he started performing comedy sketches in El Show del Mediodía at WAPA-TV.
One of Fernández' more famous roles was in El Barrio Cuatro Calles, where he played the role of Pepón, one of the owners of two bakeries located one in front of the other both competing for customers and sales. Later on, the comedy took another route where Fernández' character became "Superpan", a superhero spoof like Chespirito's Chapulín Colorado (Mexico).

Ekk Deewana Tha
Ekk Deewana Tha (English: There Was a Crazy Lover) is a 2012 Hindi language romantic drama film, written and directed by Gautham Menon, featuring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson in Jackson's Bollywood debut, and in lead roles. The film is a remake of Gautham Menon's own 2010 Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, which was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010, featuring soundtrack and film score composed by A R Rahman, while the cinematography and editing are handled by M. S. Prabhu and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively. Singer Chinmayi has provided the talking voice of the female lead, reprising her role from the original Tamil version and the Telugu simultaneously made version where she dubbed for actresses Trisha Krishnan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu respectively.
While on production stage, the film was titled Prem Katha, but was renamed as Ekk Deewana Tha, as the director wanted some abstract title for the film, similar to the original. The film, produced by Fox Star Studios, a subsidiary of Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox, Photon Kathaas and R.S. Infotainment was released on 17 February 2012 in two different versions with a number of endings to suit the taste of regional viewers. The film opened to universally mixed reviews and had a lukewarm reception at the box office.

Nadeem–Shravan (sometimes credited as Nadeem Shravan) are a music director duo in the Bollywood film industry of India. The duo derives its name from the first names of its two principals, Nadeem Saifi and Shravan Rathod.
Nadeem–Shravan were among the most successful music directors of the 1990s until the early 2000s. They have the strong reliance of Hindustani music in their compositions and were the only composers during the 1990s and 2000s who relied heavily on three particular instruments: the bansuri, the sitar and the shehnai in almost all of their songs. By using these instruments in a modern way without disconnecting them from their original value, their contribution is unique compared to some rising music directors evolving a new music style beginning in the mid-1990s. Their most commonly featured and favorite singers are "Trimurty" Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan but other Hindi playback singers like Anuradha Paudwal, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sadhana Sargam, Jaspinder Narula, K. S. Chithra, SP Balasubramanyam, Hariharan, Suresh Wadkar, Pankaj Udhas, Mohammad Aziz, Sudesh Bhosle, Shailendra Singh, Shabbir Kumar, Nitin Mukesh, Roop Kumar Rathod, Vinod Rathod, Abhijeet, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, KK, Gurdas Maan, Shankar Mahadevan, Babul Supriyo, Manhar Udhas, Bali Brahmbhatt, Jolly Mukherjee, Sapna Mukherjee, Anwar, many others have sung under their baton. Veteran singer Mohd. Rafi also sang for them in their film Dangal. Evergreen singers Lata Mangeshkar & Asha Bhonsle also sang in few albums for the duo.

Since it was founded in 2006, on every first Saturday of each month there's no better place for friends of real Soul Music than the Lido: the whole dancefloor, housed in this old 50s cinema, bounces to the dynamic Soul Sound played from rare 45's. High ceilings, vintage furniture and a great wooden dancefloor make the Lido the perfect ballroom for a soul night.
When it comes to the music, we try to cover everything that will thrill a soul lover's heart: from Deep Funk to Rare Soul, from early R&B; to Boogaloo and Reggae Soul...vintage vinyl only from us and our international DJ guests.
A special treat for the early birds: a special Promo CD is waiting for the first 50 guests through the door. To find out more about the records we play on Berlin's biggest Soulnight, check out the gallery of some of our favourite records on our website, with scan facility and sound files. We've got over 300 45s listed at the moment, but I guess we will add shit loads more over the next months.
