Israel (/ˈɪzreɪəl/ or /ˈɪzriːəl/; Hebrew: יִשְׂרָאֵל Yisrā'el; Arabic: إِسْرَائِيل Isrāʼīl), officially the State of Israel (Hebrew: מְדִינַת יִשְׂרָאֵל Medīnat Yisrā'el [mediˈnat jisʁaˈʔel]; Arabic: دولة إِسْرَائِيل Dawlat Isrāʼīl [dawlat ʔisraːˈʔiːl]), is a country in the Middle East, situated at the southeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and the northern shore of the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea. It shares land borders with Lebanon to the north, Syria in the northeast, Jordan on the east, the Palestinian territories (which are claimed by the State of Palestine and are partially controlled by Israel) comprising the West Bank and Gaza Strip to the east and west, respectively, and Egypt to the southwest. It contains geographically diverse features within its relatively small area. Israel's financial and technology center is Tel Aviv, while Jerusalem is both its self-designated capital (unrecognised by the United Nations) and its most populous individual city under the country's governmental administration. Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem is internationally disputed.

Shimon Peres ( listen ; Hebrew: שמעון פרס; born Szymon Perski; 2 August 1923) is a Polish-born Israeli statesman. He was the ninth President of Israel from 2007 to 2014. Peres served twice as the Prime Minister of Israel and twice as Interim Prime Minister, and he was a member of 12 cabinets in a political career spanning over 66 years. Peres was elected to the Knesset in November 1959 and, except for a three-month-long hiatus in early 2006, served continuously until 2007, when he became President.
He held several diplomatic and military positions during and directly after Israel's War of Independence. His first high-level government position was as Deputy Director-General of Defense in 1952, and Director-General from 1953 until 1959. During his career, he has represented five political parties in the Knesset: Mapai, Rafi, the Alignment, Labor and Kadima, and has led Alignment and Labor. Peres won the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize together with Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat for the peace talks that he participated in as Israeli Foreign Minister, producing the Oslo Accords.

This hour-long special weaves together both the Israeli and the Palestinian narratives. In Israel, we go from the venerable ramparts of Jerusalem to the vibrant modern skyline of Tel Aviv. In Palestine, we harvest olives near Hebron, visit a home in Bethlehem, and pop into a university in Ramallah. We also learn about security walls, disputed settlements, and the persistent challenges facing the region. A video where I talk about some things to consider while being a tourist in Israel, including: what to do in case of a missile attack, tips for tourist, dealing with the obvious military presence, street harassment, etc. Before leaving for South Korea to go teach English, I decided to visit my grandmother for two weeks to Ashdod, Israel, where she lives. It inspired me to make this video. I hope you enjoy it! ✱ 515 Hotels in Tel Aviv - Lowest Price Guarantee ► http://goo.gl/2Ui9Lg Travel video about destination Tel Aviv Beach in Israel. Where do people act as if insecurity were an unknown word ? Or as if the dangers of war were unimportant ? On the beach at Tel Aviv… Here, whatever happens, even just 48 hours after fighting breaks out with Lebanon, (in September 2006, when we filmed there), Tel Aviv proudly presents itself and its thirties architecture as a modern city, refusing to bear the weight of the past, where Jews and Muslims prefer to cohabit in an intelligent manner. And so the Tel Aviv beach is a place for partying, relaxing and flirting, every minute of the day, as if defying the permanent threats that hang over the country. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► http://goo.gl/H...
We start in Jerusalem, alive with religious tradition and passion — Christian, Muslim, and Jewish. We then visit cosmopolitan Tel Aviv, with its in-love-with-life beaches; ponder the sad fortress of Masada; and join pilgrims at biblical sights around the Sea of Galilee. We'll also pay our respects at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, drop into an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood, and savor the local cuisine. | © 2014 Rick Steves' Europe At http://www.ricksteves.com, you'll find money-saving travel tips, small-group tours, guidebooks, TV shows, radio programs, podcasts, and more on this destination.
Standing at the edge of this Abyss
The bride of all my failure and my shame.
The pain that casts a shadow of envy and hate
The days they seem so endless
Left alone with my own thoughts.
And a conspiracy with a never ending plot.
[Chorus:]
Legacy pain
Story insane
Straight jacket
For your mind.
The man in the mirror I know longer recognize.
As he's consumed by my anger and my hate
Still the blame it starts to fester as it
Reaches boiling point
A viscous cycle emphasized in all I do!
[Chorus:]
Legacy pain
Story insane
Straight jacket
