Soon, Angela will discover that she is surrounded by a mediocre and easy do environment. Pressured by his father and best friend, Eddie pops the question and marries Lila after only 6 weeks. However, as he almost instantly discovers, his new bride is a nightmare with more baggage than he can handle. She's immature, foolish, a monster in bed, owes a tremendous amount of money to various sources, and as it turns out, is only a volunteer and doesn't actually have a job. While on their honeymoon in Cabo, Eddie meets Miranda, a down-to-earth lacrosse coach who is visiting with her family. Sparks fly, and Eddie falls for her. Now comes the tricky part of breaking off his marriage to crazy Lila, all while keeping the truth from Miranda about why he's in Cabo in the first place...

Love stings

Eddie Cantrow: This is my dad.::Lila: Oh, hi Dad.::Doc: Nice to meet you, Lila.::Lila: How do you know my name?::Doc: Okay, cat's out of the bag. My son found your panties on the sidewalk and we've been talking about you all week. Eddie, give her back her undies.
Doc: Now listen to me and listen to me good! When your wife, on her honeymoon, asks you to cock her, you cock her good, God damn it!
Mac: Happy wife, happy life!
Doc: So, what's new Eddie? Anything exciting?::Eddie Cantrow: Ah, yeah, we just got those new Nike Sasquatch drivers in the store, so that's been kind of cool.::Doc: Let me rephrase the question. You been crushin' any pussy?
[last lines]::Eddie Cantrow: Fuck me.

Lila: I wouldn't change a darn thing because it made me who I am today, and do you know who I am today?::Eddie Cantrow: Who are you.::Lila: I'm Mrs. Edmond Cantrow.::Eddie Cantrow: Edward.::Lila: Edward? You didn't tell me that!
Lila: Oh Grouchy Marx, calm down.
Eddie Cantrow: Oh, excuse me.::Flamboyant Man: Yeah.::Eddie Cantrow: Hey, are you running this whole thing?::Flamboyant Man: Oh. Sure. Walk up to the first homo you see and assume he's the wedding coordinator, right? Nice.::Eddie Cantrow: No, no. I didn't - I didn't mean that.::Flamboyant Man: Nice stereotype, buddy. Nice.::[the obviously gay wedding coordinator walks up to them]::Wedding Coordinator: [in a sing-song voice] Did I hear someone say "wedding coordinator"? That would be *moi*! [simpering] How can I help you?::[after a pause, the flamboyant man simply walks away]

Thank heaven for Gigi [1966 re-release]
Honore Lachaille: This story is about a little girl. It could be about any one of those little girls playing there. But it isn't. It's about one in particular. Her name is Gigi.
Aunt Alicia: Bad table manners, my dear Gigi, have broken up more households than infidelity.
Gigi: Do you make love all the time?::Gaston Lachaille: I beg your pardon?::Gigi: Do you make love all the time, Gaston?::Gaston Lachaille: Certainly not! The only people who make love all the time are liars.
Aunt Alicia: Liane d'Exelmans has commited suicide... again!
Aunt Alicia: Love, my dear Gigi, is a thing of beauty like a work of art, and like a work of art it is created by artists. The greater the artist the greater the art. And what makes an artist?::Gigi: Cigars and jewelry?::Aunt Alicia: Gigi, you're from another planet.
Gigi: [pointing] Is that the scandalous Madame d'Exelmans?::Gaston Lachaille: Yes, that is she. Tell me, Gigi, the way that you express yourself... does you grandmother hear you talk this way?::Gigi: She doesn't listen to me much.
Aunt Alicia: Such stupidity is without equal in the whole history of human relations.
Madame Alvarez: How was Monte Carlo?::Gaston Lachaille: It was a bore!::Madame Alvarez: One has to be as rich as you are, Gaston, to be bored at Monte Carlo.
Aunt Alicia: Marriage is not forbidden to us, but instead of getting married at once, it sometimes happens we get married at last.
Gaston Lachaille: Imagine this if you can! Here is a girl, living in a mouldy apartment: decaying walls, worm-ridden furniture, surrounded by filth...::Honore Lachaille: You're ruining my lunch!::Gaston Lachaille: My heart was touched. I wanted to help her. I offered her everything: house, car, servants, clothes, and me!::Honore Lachaille: And...?::Gaston Lachaille: She turned me down.::Honore Lachaille: Turned you down?::Gaston Lachaille: Turned me down!::Honore Lachaille: It is impossible!::Gaston Lachaille: It is not impossible, it just happened! I was refused, rejected, rebuffed and... repudiated!
Manuel
du Chico
du sangst so schön
Manuel
ich kenn' das Dorf
das du liebst -
nun bist du eingesperrt in Stadt und Stein.
Manuel
Manuel
und dein Konzert
das fing an
es war wie immer
du bekamst Applaus.
Manuel
ich wüßte gern
für wen du jetzt singst
Manuel
wem du heut' Freude bringst.
Da in der großen Welt
da gibt es Ruhm und Geld
doch es gibt eines nicht
gibt kein Zuhaus'
It was high noon, the sun was shinning
Manuel sharpened his blade
He stuck it in the ground
it came out twice as long
Chopped of the end of his leg
Madness sprouted in that garden
Manuel felt strange
Then his mind shifted as the vines twisted
He became quite crazed
The barbed wire fence post,
it felt quite wooden
as he impaled himself on the steel
as the blood ran down, he felt so horrible
reached for the tequila worm and beer
Razor swallowing in that garden
He winced with pain
Like a curse lifted he begged for
forgiveness
but it was too late
Manuel, my friend, Manuel
Manuel, my friend, Manuel
Be well, my friend, Manuel
You good, your good
as far as I can tell
Please mind what you got
She tough talk too hot
She's fine & your not, Manuel
long time, to the dot
make noise, quit a lot
but shes all we got, Manuel
You good, your good, Manuel
Your screwed as far as I can tell
