[東森新聞HD]Focus on Arctic Ocean
“FOCUS” began in 2011 as a quarterly TV documentary series and explores issues regarding environmental conservation, human civilization and social development, and current global challenges.
The idea behind the documentary "Focus on the Arctic Ocean – Saving the Whitecoats" came from the observation that humans’ ecological footprint is a great burden on the Earth. As a consequence, climate change disasters are becoming more unpredictable and wildlife is disappearing.
The FOCUS production team spent three years collaborating with some climate experts and marine mammal scientist in Canada, to plan this film. In early 2014, when the polar vortex struck North America, we obtained exclusive filming rights and went on an expedition to study the ecology of harp seals.
Each spring, female harp seals swim more than 3000 kilometers from the Arctic to the Gulf of St. Lawrence to give birth. The newborn seal pups, known as Whitecoats, bring the joy of life to the desolate pack ice. They, however, also face the cruel realities of survival. Industrial seal hunting in the past half century has put them in great danger, and moreover, global warming is destroying their natural habitat and might eventually lead to their extinction.
In this documentary, we show our audience the severe consequences of climate change caused by over-exploitation of the environment. Global warming exerts a destructive impact not only on the seal pups but also on humans. In addition, we invite everyone to reflect on the controversial issue of “seal hunting” . Can we humans play God and determine the appropriate populations for other species? Do we, as the highest order of living things, have the right to slaughter another species to satisfy our greed?
We hope this program will raise awareness of the importance of protecting wildlife, the Earth, and ultimately humanity.

It is a compact beachside city that is full of churches, stone buildings and beautiful parklands.
This picturesque city is unusual amongst Australian cities in that it was founded by free settlers, not convicts. Those early founders put a lot of passion into creating a better life for themselves even though they were many thousands of miles from home.
Because of that history, Adelaide has a unique sense of refinement and beauty.

From the hilltops, moor forts look down on to the surroundings. In the old towns narrow roads lead up to the magnificent Manuel-style temples. The buildings are ornamented by Azulejos, moor painted tiles. The monuments and statues summon adventurers and explorers: Magellan and Vasco De Gama. The country is full of fishing villages, palm trees, vine arbours, olive tree orchards, and orange gardens. Fuerteventura Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
https://www.expedia.com/Fuerteventura.d1263.Destination-Travel-Guides
Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago situated in the Atlantic Ocean. This island is famous for stunning beaches, picturesque villages and year-round sunshine.
Just half an hour north of the international airport is Corralejo, one of the island’s largest resort towns and the perfect place from which to explore the Corralejo Dunes National Park.
At the island’s southern end is Morro Jable, a town famed for seafood restaurants and a picturesque lighthouse.
Gorgeous beaches run the length of the Jandia Peninsula, reaching all the way to Costa Calma. For something different, check out the pitch-black sands of Ajuy Beach.
Should you tire of Fuerteventura’s beaches, head inland to explore the island’s amazing volcanic landscapes and villages. Take the winding roads up to Mirador Morro Velosa on Mount Tegu for the best views on the entire island, then visit Puerto del Rosario, the island’s capital.
With it’s long Spanish history, Fuerteventura is also home to many romantic buildings and churches such as the parish church at La Oliva and the town hall in Pajara.
Cotillo is perhaps the most picturesque village on the entire island. Stroll the old harbour, which is still used by fisherman, and admire the original windmills.
In an archipelago acclaimed for beaches, Fuerteventura has been blessed with some of the biggest and most beautiful. Combined with its perfect weather and incredible landscapes, this is the perfect island to relax, recharge and reconnect with nature.

Ireland Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Ireland.
Ireland is one of Europe’s most green and mysterious islands and everyone who visits this isolated island in the Atlantic Ocean is given a very warm welcome. Dublin is the capital of the Irish Republic and it is a city of musicians, poets and dreamers, as well as being a financial centre. Its many old buildings indicate its long and dramatic past. It was founded by the Vikings within a wonderful valley where the River Liffey flows into the Atlantic Ocean. After the Vikings, the Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for seven hundred years and under King Henry The Eighth Dublin became the capital of what was then a British colony. South west of Dublin is Kildare, the heart of Ireland’s horse racing. In 1902 the Irish national stud, Tully House, was founded there. Rich and eccentric Scottish brewery heir, Colonel William Hall-Walker, had the idea of a creating unique horse breeding scheme that would be based upon astrological calculation. The Wicklow Mountains are a natural paradise of mountains, swamps and lakes, beautiful valleys and a fascinating mountain landscape to the south of Dublin. Jerpoint Abbey near Thomastown dates back to the twelfth century and is one of the most beautiful Cistercian ruins in Ireland. It was founded in around 1160 by Donal Mac Gillapatrick, the King Of Ossory. The Cistercians built the monastery in characteristic style and one of the stone sarcophaguses is said to contain the bones of Holy Nicolas who was buried there by the Crusaders. Although much of it has remained unspoiled, Ireland has undergone much change. It is a land of great natural beauty, healthy commercial success and excellent hospitality: a wild green island set in the wild Atlantic Ocean!

Adelaide City Video Guide | Expedia
http://www.expedia.com.au/Adelaide-and-vicinity.d6051330.Destination-Travel-Guides
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia and is situated close to the Great Southern Ocean.
One of the most popular places to visit is Victoria Square which is right in the heart of the city. From here, it is easy to wander along the North Terrace District and admire the graceful buildings and museums which echo with stories from the past.
At the South Australian Museum, visitors can learn about the rich cultures that were in the area before the Europeans arrived.
Another great place to visit is the Art Gallery of South Australia where visitors can enjoy the extensive collections of Australian and International Art.
Don’t miss the legendary Adelaide Oval which many claim to be one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world.
Adelaide is also well known as a gateway to the famous Barossa and Clair Valleys which are a food and wine lovers paradise.
Many of the early settlers to this area were German and they brought with them grapes from their homeland.The area is now well-known for producing outstanding shiraz and reisling.
While you are in the area, stop at any of the many wineries for a wine tasting or to enjoy a meal using fine local produce.
Adelaide is an old world city that attracts visitors for its elegance and romance.

Australia tourism & Vacations 2015
Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=World1Tube
Australia is world famous for its natural wonders and wide open spaces, its beaches, deserts, "the bush", and "the Outback".
Australia is one of the world's most highly urbanised countries; it is well known for the attractions of its large cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Wildlife
Australian flora and fauna is unique to the island, the result of having been isolated from the rest of the world for millions of years. Amongst Australian animals are a large group of marsupials (mammals with a pouch) and monotremes (mammals that lay eggs). Just some of the animal icons of Australia are the kangaroo (national symbol) and the koala. A visit to Australia would not be complete without taking the chance to see some of these animals in their natural environment.
Wildlife parks and zoos
Wildlife parks and zoos are in every capital city, but also check out the animal parks if you are passing through smaller towns, like Mildura or Mogo, or staying on Hamilton Island. See the Warrawong Fauna Sanctuary if you are in South Australia, or visit the koalas with best view in the world, at Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
In the wild
Kangaroos and wallabies reside in national parks all around the country. You won't see any kangaroos hopping down the street in Central Sydney, but they are common on the outskirts of most urban areas. There is also a famous group which make their home on the of grounds of the University of the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland.
Wombats and echidna are also common, but harder to find due to their camouflage and tunnelling. See lots of echidnas on Kangaroo Island.
Koalas are present in forests around Australia, but are very notoriously hard to spot, and walking around looking upwards into the boughs of trees will usually send you sprawling over a tree root. Best seen during the day, there is a thriving and friendly population on Raymond Island near Paynesville in Victoria. You have a good chance on Otway Coast, on the Great Ocean Road, or even in the National Park walk near Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.
Emu are more common in central Australia. You will certainly see some if you venture to the outback national park at Currawinya
Platypus are found in reedy flowing creeks with soft river banks in Victoria, Southern New South Wales, and the very southern region of Queensland - seen at dusk and dawn - you have to have a bit of luck to see one. Try the platypus reserves in Bombala or Delegate in New South Wales, or in Emu Creek at Skipton just out of Ballarat.
Landmarks
Australia has many landmarks, famous the world over. From Uluru in the red centre, to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House in Sydney.
The unusual
See some of the Big things in Australia.
Do in Australia
==========
Family Days Out, [18]. Fun things for to do with the kids in Australia.
Swim
in the surf. Australia has seemingly endless sandy beaches. Follow the crowds to the world famous Bondi Beach in Sydney, or Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. Or find a stretch all for yourself (but beware of dangerous rips on beaches, it is considerably safer to find a patrolled beach). The surf is smaller and warmer in the Tropical North, where the reef breaks the swell, and larger and colder in the south with waves rolling in from the Southern Ocean. (And yes, in the middle it is just right).
in calm tropical oceans. Cable Beach in Broome is swept pristine daily by the tide, has perfect sand, and warm water - go in winter.
in thermal pools. South of Darwin there are many natural thermal pools such as Berry Springs & Mataranka, surrounded by palms and tropical foliage.
in freshwater lakes. Inland Australia tends to be dry, but there are freshwater lakes where you would least expect them. Explore inland of Cairns at the Atherton Tablelands, or head outback to the Currawinya National Park.
in rivers. If its hot, and there is water, there will be a place to swim. Wherever you are, just ask around for the favourite swimming spot, with a waterhole and rope to swing on. Watch out for crocodiles.
in man-made pools. The local swimming pool is often the hub of community life on a summer Sunday in the country towns of New South Wales and Victoria. Many of the beachside suburbs of Sydney have man made rock pools for swimming by the ocean beaches.
on the beach! Find your spot by the water, and get out the towel. Tropical north in the winter, down south in the summer. As always when in Australia, protect yourself from the sun.
Diving
Snorkelling take a trip out to the Great Barrier Reef on the Queensland coast, or the Ningaloo Reef off the coast of Western Australia. Or take a trip out to Julian rocks off Byron Bay, or just dive in off the beach to see the tropical fish in Bundaberg.

Canada Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Canada.
The journey starts in Halifax and stretches right across Canada, from east to west and from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Halifax is situated in a deep, well-defined bay on the Atlantic coastline and has one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world.Ville De Quebec is the capital of the likewise-named province of Canada. In this European-orientated city on the St. Laurence river, French is the main language. In 1608, Samuel De Champlain established it as a centre for the fur trade. The massive and world famous Chateau Frontenac is the city’s best known landmark. In Montreal, Canada’s second largest city, the massive Basilica, the Oratoire Saint-Joseph, is an important pilgrimage destination and in the charming French-style area of the city which is located between the harbour and the modern banking quarter, numerous old buildings have been restored. Although Montreal is located 1600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country’s interior, to the ocean. In Native American, Toronto means, ‘Meeting Place’ an accurate description for the capital of Ontario Province and Canada’s largest city, a multi-cultural city with giant skyscrapers and noisy streets.
The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing building in the world and in less than a minute its lift ascends 335 metres to the top. Algarve Travel Video Guide • Great Destinations
Portugal. The 5 and half thousand square meters large southern part of the once proud colonial empire is Algarve, bathing all year in the sun. The Playa de Rocha and the other sandy beaches are surrounded by large cliffs, stone archs and lagoons. On the hill of Moniche we travel among pine trees and para oaks. From the lighthouse of the Saint Vincent cape we can only see the endless Atlantic Ocean, which the medieval man thought to be the end of the world.

Sintra Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Sintra in Portugal.
Around thirty kilometres from Lisbon is the small historic Portuguese town of Sintra where once the rise and fall of an entire kingdom took place. King Joao The First ordered construction of the Palacio Nacional De Sintra on the foundations of a Moorish construction that dated back to the 10th century. From the palace there's a beautiful view across the Vila Velha, Sintra's old town. The Palacio Nacional De Sintra consists of a variety of architectural styles that include Moorish, Gothic and Manuelistic design. 530 metres above sea level, on the summit of the Sintra Mountains, the spectacular Palacio Nacional De Pena overlooks the town. At first sight its towers resemble minarets, a symbol of a courageous and successful combination of numerous architectural traditions. Three kilometres from the castle is the oldest building in Sintra, the towers and walls of a Moorish castle, the Castelo Dos Mouros. The thousand year old ruins are famous for their breathtaking views that extend for several kilometres across the landscape and even as far as the Atlantic Ocean. In 1147, King Alfonso and his army conquered the old fortress. Sintra's gardens are the most beautiful in Europe and due to the region's unique climate, subtropical plants flourish in the fertile volcanic earth close to the Atlantic Ocean. Beneath the southern sun, Sintra's historic architecture continues to blend harmoniously with the glorious splendour of Nature.

Costa Rica Travel Guide 2015, Tourism and Vacations Costa Rica 2015 - Costa Rica Trip 2015
Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=World1Tube
Costa Rica is a small country in Central America bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the south, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the east.
See in Costa Rica
================
Wildlife - Costa Rica is world famous for having an incredibly high level of biodiversity throughout its tropical forests (this covers what you may hear referred to as rain forests, cloud forests, and dry forests). There are tropical mammals such as monkeys, sloths, tapirs, and wild cats as well as an amazing assortment of insects and other animals. There are many many birds (both migratory and resident) - more on that below. With 25% of the country being national parks and protected areas, there are still many places you can go to see the abundant wildlife and lush vegetation of the country. Just like anywhere, the farther you get off the beaten path, the more likely you are to see a wide variety of flora and fauna.
========
Bird Watching - One of the most wonderful activities for people who love nature is bird watching. You can enjoy bird watching in many areas of Costa Rica. Due to the great diversity of climates, temperatures and forest types in Costa Rica, there is a wonderful variety of birds, with over 800 species. Some helpful books available on bird watching are Birds of Costa Rica by F. Gary Stiles and Alexander Skutch (Cornell University Press) or An Illustrated Field Guide to Birds of Costa Rica, illustrated by Victor Esquivel Soto. These books can be found at certain bookstores in San José or before coming to Costa Rica. They are both heavy books; many people tear out the plates of the Stiles & Skutch book to carry into the field and leave the rest of the book in their car or room. Plastic cards with the most common birds are available for many areas and are sold at gift shops.
Volcanoes -Costa Rica is one of the most seismologicly active countries in the western hemisphere, and as a result several volcanoes have sprouted over the years- most notably volcanoes Poas, Irazu, and Arenal.
Beaches in Costa Rica
============
Costa Rica is a country with an extraordinary wealth of things to do, but regardless of your travel interests, you're going to want to spend time at one of the country's great beaches. The lion's share of beach tourism is concentrated on the Pacific side, in the Central Pacific region near San José, the Nicoya Peninsula, and in the dry tropical forests of Guanacaste. Less touristed, but no less beautiful are the beaches in the tropical rainforest of the southern Pacific coast near Corcovado National Park, or on the exotic, rastafarian, eco-tourism paradise of the Caribbean side.
Fishing
========
Costa Rica has some of the best Sport Fishing in the world and is the first country to practice catch and release fishing. The Pacific side has incredible fishing for Sailfish, Marlin, Dorado, Tuna, Wahoo, Roosterfish, Snapper, Grouper and more. The Caribbean side is famous for big Tarpon and big Snook. Over sixty-four world records have been caught in Costa Rica. Half day, Full day and Multi-Day Trips are available.

Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina - Ushuaia Tourism
Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=World1Tube
Ushuaia is the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur Province, Argentina. It is commonly regarded as the southernmost city in the world (a title long disputed by smaller Puerto Williams). Ushuaia is located in a wide bay on the southern coast of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, bounded on the north by the Martial mountain range and on the south by the Beagle Channel. It is the only municipality in the Department of Ushuaia, which has an area of 9,390 km2 (3,625 sq mi).
Tourism
=============
Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, located in Ushuaia
Tourist attractions include the Tierra del Fuego National Park and Lapataia Bay. The park can be reached by highway, or via the End of the World Train (Tren del Fin del Mundo) from Ushuaia. The city has a museum of Yámana, English, and Argentine settlement, including its years as a prison colony. Wildlife attractions include local birds, penguins, seals, and orcas, many of these species colonizing islands in the Beagle Channel. There are daily bus and boat tours to Harberton, the Bridges family compound. Tours also visit the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Les Eclaireurs is sometimes confused with the "Lighthouse at the End of the World" (Faro del fin del mundo) made famous by Jules Verne in the novel of the same name; but the latter lies some 200 mi (320 km) east of Ushuaia on Isla de los Estados (Staten Island).
Manufacturing
============
Ushuaia's industrial sector, led by the Grundig Renacer electronics factory, is among the largest in Patagonia.
Arts and culture
=================
Since 2007 Ushuaia has hosted the Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo del Fin del Mundo (Bienniel of Contemporary Art at the End of the World), created and organized by the Patagonia Arte & Desafío Foundation under the rubric "South Pole of the Arts, Sciences, and Ecology". The Bienal has gathered over one hundred artists from five continents addressing the motto "think at the End of the World that another world is possible". As a pedagogical project it encourages students at all levels to "think about a better world".
Sea
=====
In addition to being a vacation destination for local and international tourists, Ushuaia is also the key access point to the Southern Ocean, including subantarctic islands such as South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and Antarctic islands such as the South Orkney Islands and the South Shetland Islands. Its commercial pier is the major port of departure in the world for tourist and scientific expeditions to the Antarctic Peninsula.[citation needed] Cruise ships visiting the Falkland Islands (referred to by Argentinians as Islas Malvinas) and Antarctica dock at the port, as well as Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, and Celebrity Cruises, which transit between Valparaíso, Chile, to Buenos Aires and beyond. Antarpply Expeditions, Global Maritime, Hurtigruten, Lindblad Expeditions, Orient Lines, Quark Expeditions, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and other passenger and freight lines provide regularly scheduled services between Ushuaia and all local seaports and settlements. Australis Cruises provides regular service between Ushuaia and Punta Arenas from September to April. Tourists can also visit Cape Horn (in Chilean waters) by boat or helicopter.
