Trump, Jeb spar over George W Bush

"I think I have a bigger heart than all of them," Trump told Ruhle in response. "I think I'm much more competent than all of them. I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time."

This Week host George Stephanopoulos interviewed Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Sunday morning. The two discussed many pertinent topics, but things grew fairly uncomfortable when Stephanopoulos began grilling Carson over comments he made at the previous Republican presidential debate about former President George W. Bush‘s decision to invade Afghanistan. The host was especially curious about Carson’s professed insistence that, had the United States simply declared its intention to become petroleum independent in 5 to 10 years, moderate Arab governments would have turned over Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden within two weeks. “

Trump, Jeb spar over George W Bush
eb Bush fired back Friday as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump knocked former president George W. Bush, Jeb Bush's brother, over the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that brought down the World Trade Center.
Trump's comments came after Bloomberg's Stephanie Ruhle asked him if he would be capable of comforting the nation in the event of a mass catastrophe like the 9/11 attacks or the 2012 shooting in Newtown, Conn.
"I think I have a bigger heart than all of them," Trump told Ruhle in response. "I think I'm much more competent than all of them. I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time."
Ruhle pushed back, saying, "Hold on, you can't blame George Bush for that?"
"He was president, OK? Blame him or don't blame him, but he was president," Trump said. "The World Trade Center came down during his reign."
Jeb Bush struck back over social media, calling Trump's comments "pathetic." His tweet: "How pathetic for @realdonaldtrump to criticize the president for 9/11. We were attacked & my brother kept us safe."
Bush and Trump have tangled before over the former president's record.
"Your brother and your brother's administration gave us Barack Obama, because it was such a disaster those last three months that Abraham Lincoln couldn't have been elected," Trump told the former Florida governor at the CNN debate in September.
"You know what? As it relates to my brother, there's one thing I know for sure. He kept us safe," Bush replied.
Later, he tweeted a photo of his brother standing at Ground Zero.
The business mogul has been critical of the former president in the past, publicly questioning his intelligence and his leadership on the war in Iraq.
"He just didn't seem smart. Does that make sense to you?" Trump told the Washington Post in August. "I'd watch him in interviews and I'd look at people and ask, 'Do you think he understands the question?' I mean, he didn't seem like he had it."
Trump was scheduled to appear at a campaign event in Massachusetts on Friday evening.

What Is Milton Friedman Known For? Tribute by George Bush on Economics (2002)
Lawrence B. Lindsey was director of the National Economic Council (2001–2002), and the assistant to the president on economic policy for the U.S. President George W. Bush. He played a leading role in formulating President Bush's $1.35 trillion tax cut plan, convincing candidate Bush that he needed an "insurance policy" against an economic turndown. He left the White House in December 2002 and was replaced by Stephen Friedman after a dispute over the projected cost of the Iraq War. Lindsey estimated the cost of the Iraq War could reach $200 billion, while Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld estimated that it would cost less than $50 billion. As of 2013, the Iraq War cost over $2 trillion and could grow to $6 trillion counting interest.
Lindsey is famous for spotting the emergence of the late 1990s U.S. stock market bubble back in 1996 while a Governor of the Federal Reserve. According to the meeting transcripts for September of that year, Lindsey challenged the expectation that corporate earnings would grow 11½ percent a year continually. He said, "Readers of this transcript five years from now can check this fearless prediction: profits will fall short of this expectation." According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, corporate profits as a share of national income eroded from 1997 until 2001. Stock prices eventually collapsed, starting their decline in March 2000, though the S&P500; remained above its 1996 level, casting doubt on the assertion that there was a stock market bubble in 1996.
In contrast to Chairman Greenspan, Lindsey argued that the Federal Reserve had an obligation to prevent the stock market bubble from growing out of control. He argued that "the long term costs of a bubble to the economy and society are potentially great.... As in the United States in the late 1920s and Japan in the late 1980s, the case for a central bank ultimately to burst that bubble becomes overwhelming. I think it is far better that we do so while the bubble still resembles surface froth and before the bubble carries the economy to stratospheric heights." During the 2000 Presidential campaign, Governor Bush was criticized for picking an economic advisor who had sold all of his stock in 1998.

Friedman's challenges to what he later called "naive Keynesian" theory began with his 1950s reinterpretation of the consumption function. In the 1960s, he became the main advocate opposing Keynesian government policies, and described his approach (along with mainstream economics) as using "Keynesian language and apparatus" yet rejecting its "initial" conclusions. He theorized that there existed a "natural" rate of unemployment, and argued that employment above this rate would cause inflation to accelerate. He argued that the Phillips curve was, in the long run, vertical at the "natural rate" and predicted what would come to be known as stagflation. Friedman promoted an alternative macroeconomic viewpoint known as "monetarism", and argued that a steady, small expansion of the money supply was the preferred policy. His ideas concerning monetary policy, taxation, privatization and deregulation influenced government policies, especially during the 1980s. His monetary theory influenced the Federal Reserve's response to the global financial crisis of 2007–08.
Friedman was an advisor to Republican U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Conservative British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. His political philosophy extolled the virtues of a free market economic system with minimal intervention. He once stated that his role in eliminating U.S. conscription was his proudest accomplishment. In his 1962 book Capitalism and Freedom, Friedman advocated policies such as a volunteer military, freely floating exchange rates, abolition of medical licenses, a negative income tax, and school vouchers. His support for school choice led him to found the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice.
Milton Friedman's works include many monographs, books, scholarly articles, papers, magazine columns, television programs, and lectures, and cover a broad range of economic topics and public policy issues. His books and essays have had an international influence, including in former Communist states. A survey of economists ranked Friedman as the second most popular economist of the twentieth century after John Maynard Keynes, and The Economist described him as "the most influential economist of the second half of the 20th century ... possibly of all of it."

9/11 attack and its cover-up. Project For A New American Century (PNAC) In 1997, two neoconservative Zionist commentators, William Kristol and Robert Kagan founded an ultra- aggressive, militaristic think tank which developed and studied ideas that would expand America's hegemonic dominion over the globe, in association with emphasizing the necessity of strong relations with the Zionist regime.
Named "Project for the New American Century," it was the single most influential entity in the policy-making decisions of the murderous Bush administration, with many of its members actually serving in the administration. In September of 2000, PNAC released a document entitled "Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategies, Forces, and Resources For a New Century" which discussed the removal of Saddam Hussein and the total destruction of Iraq as a nation due to its threat to Israel, and suggested America would need to "fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars" to further establish its dominance in the Middle East
The most disturbing part of the document however, came with its call for a (Sept 11 2001) Israel's planned New Pearl Harbor Attack on the USA, "the process of transformation is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic catalyzing event — like a New Pearl Harbor." Nobody can deny 9/1 1 served that exact purpose, galvanizing the American masses behind illegal wars and genocides against Afghanistan and Iraq, all in the name of American patriotism.
Members Of PNAC The authors of Rebuilding America's Defenses (RAD) were credited as Zionists Neocons JED BUSH, Donald Kagan (Robert Kagan' s father) and Gary Schmitt, but contributions were provided by many of its elite Zionist members including: Gary Bauer, Robert Bernstein, US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton, Rudy Boschwitz, former CIA agent William F. Buckley Jr., Frank Carlucci (CIA murderer of Prime Minister of the Congo Patrice Lemumba), war criminal Vice President Dick Cheney, Eliot Cohen, David Epstein, Frank Gaffney, Aaron Friedberg, Charles Krauthammer, aid to the Vice President Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Lewish Lehrman, Martin Peretz, Richard Perle (who was pegged by the FBI for spying for Israel in the 1970s, but never prosecuted), Norman Podhoretz, AIPAC official Stephen Rosen, war criminal Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Randy Scheunemann, Pentagon official Abram Shulsky, architect of the first genocide against Iraq Stephen Solarz, Caspar Weinberger, architect of the second genocide against Iraq Paul Wolfowitz, Heritage Foundation Director Larry Wortzel, and Rabbi Dov Zakheim
All of these men played their role in the orchestration of the tragic events on 9/11, whether it was the planning, the propagation of the mythologically false Zionist media-enforced official story, or the aftermath with the illegal military occupations overseas. RAD can easily be found by placing the title into any Internet search engine. Lies, Myths and Propaganda Of The Official Story Any independent investigation into the events leading up to, occurring during, and following 9/11 will automatically lead to being labeled with the inflammatory and degrading title of "conspiracy theorist." However, a closer look at the evidence proves it is the ludicrous official story that is the only real conspiracy theory.

Not too long after, Wallace discussed the New York real estate mogul’s talking points (or lack thereof) with Washington Post opinion writer Charles Lane. His thoughts? “None of it made sense.” That’s one of the larger conclusions you can draw about the interview, especially since Trump didn’t adequately answer most of Wallace’s questions. Instead, he refused to give specific answers and emphasized his desire to remain “unpredictable” during the campaign. “Let’s do a lightening round. Quick questions, quick answers,” said Wallace. “Would you be willing to use the debt limit and risk the possibility of the country going into default to get more spending cuts?” “I would use the debt limit… I don’t want to say… I want to be unpredictable because we need unpredictability,” Trump rambled. “Everything is so predictable with our county.”The Republican front-runner has made criticisms of former President George W. Bush and Trump spar over 9/11 blame
Donald Trump isn’t backing down after blasting President George W. Bush for 9/11. Trump said on Sunday that things would have been “much different” if he had been in office. The billionaire already had criticized the former president saying the deadly attack happened "during his reign," which brought on an angry response from rival candidate Jeb Bush. [FULL] Donald Trump Fox News Sunday EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW HD
Donald Trump Fox News Sunday FULL Interview
Donald Trump insisted during a Fox News interview that he's not blaming George W. Bush for 9/11, but claimed that if he'd been president, the terror attacks never would have happened.
In an interview on "Fox News Sunday," the real estate tycoon said that since he's "extremely, extremely tough on immigration" the attackers wouldn't have been allowed into the country and therefore wouldn't have been in position to hijack U.S. flights.
"So there's a good chance that those people would not have been in our country," Trump claimed.
The Republican contender took another swipe at rival Jeb Bush over his claims that his brother brother, George W. Bush, kept the US safe.
"I'm not blaming George Bush," Trump was careful to say. "But I don't want Jeb Bush to say, 'My brother kept us safe,' because September 11 was one of the worst days in the history of this country."
Trump attacked Bush over his brother's tenure on Twitter as well as his interview on Fox aired.
Trump tweeted: "Jeb, why did your brother attack and destabalize the Middle East by attacking Iraq when there were no weapons of mass destruction? Bad info?"
He then also tweeted some advice: "Jeb Bush should stop trying to defend his brother and focus on his own shortcomings and how to fix them."
Jed Bush is pushing back against the criticism though, one that Trump has made repeatedly in recent days.

Days after he lambasted George W Bush for the 9/11 tragedy, Donald Trump went on to state in an interview that the 11 September, 2001 attacks would not have occurred under his presidency. Trump stated that he could have prevented the attacks because of his strict immigration policies.
“I would have been different… I am extremely extremely tough on illegal immigration, am extremely tough on people coming to this country. If I was running things… there is a good chance those people would not have been in this country,” he told host Charles Wallace on Fox News Sunday.

Ben Carson This Week Abc FULL Interview 10/18/2015. Carson Baffles Stephanopoulos
“How would you have gotten the moderate Arab governments to turn over Osama bin Laden in two weeks?” asked Stephanopoulos. “He’d already been expelled by Saudi Arabia. He was already an enemy of those moderate governments.”Ben Carson tod this week abc that hedoesn’t believe Donald Trump was blaming former President George W. Bush for the Sept. 11th attacks in comments he made last week. ben Carson told ABC's "This Week" today he doubted that was really what the real estate mogul meant. “I would probably ask him what he meant by that. I seriously doubt that he’s saying that -- that George W. Bush is to blame for it,” Carson said. "I certainly -- I certainly don’t think so.” Carson, who is neck-and-neck with Trump in the latest GOP polls, was careful not to compare himself to his rival, who often highlights his negotiating prowess. But the retired neurosurgeon said he is also an experienced negotiator. “I don’t want to necessarily compare myself with anyone, but I can tell you that, you know, I’ve had a lot of experience doing a whole host of things -- negotiating with all kinds of people in order to get things accomplished,” Carson said. “When you go into a negotiating, the recent Iran negotiation, for instance, you have to know how to negotiate.”
"For instance, when I became the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, pediatric neurosurgery was not even on the map at Hopkins at that point," he added when asked for specific examples. "I had to negotiate a number of things in order to create the various different divisions.”
Carson also said he doesn’t think any of his potential Democratic opponents would be tough to beat in the general election.
"I personally don't think any of them will be very tough because it's going to be such a clear-cut election," he said. "We will be voting about whether we want a nation where the government is in control or a nation where the people are in control. I think it's going to be crystal clear and the people will make a clear decision."
Carson's campaign manager has claimed he never viewed Hillary Clinton as a threat but admitted he was concerned about the potential of Vice President Joe Biden entering the race.
“Biden worries us a little more because he has the likability factor,” campaign manager Barry Bennet said last week.

Tapper to Bush: If George W. Wasn’t Responsible for 9/11, How Do You Blame Hillary for Benghazi?
During his appearance on State of the Union, Jeb Bush got grilled by Jake Tapper as to how he can defend George W. Bush against Donald Trump‘s comments on 9/11, while also going Hillary Clinton for the Benghazi terrorist attacks.
Over the past few days, Bush’s feud with Trump re-ignited as the two verbally fought after the latter pointed out how the attacks happened while Bush’s brother was president.
To the implication that his brother bears part of the blame, Bush responded by telling Tapper that his brother did his presidential duty by responding to a crisis while promoting national unity and taking counter-measures to ensure that it wouldn’t happen again.Tapper agreed that Al-Qaeda was truly responsible, but followed-up by asking why Clinton cannot assert the same argument as she continues to face scrutiny by the Benghazi Committee.
“You don’t want to have your brother to bear responsibility for 9/11, but why are the terrorists not the ones who are responsible for these attacks in Libya,” Tapper asked. “How do you make the jump that President Obama and Secretary Clinton are responsible for what happened at Benghazi?”
Bush retorted that the investigation’s objective was not based on partisanship (though Clinton certainly disagrees), but that it had to determine whether the State Department lived up to its protective responsibilities to the murdered officials.
“Were we doing the job of protecting our embassies and our consulates, and during the period, those hours after the attacks started, could they have been saved,” Bush asked.
Tapper pressed on by saying that the terrorists were the ones truly to blame for the crisis, not necessarily Clinton herself. Bush agreed, but held firm by saying that the attack response and protective detail still needed to be looked at in terms of how things might’ve been done better.
“If the ambassador was asking for additional security and they didn’t get it, that’s a proper point,” Bush said. “And if it’s proven that the security was adequate compared to other embassies, then fine, we’ll move on.”
