Nihilism ( /ˈnaɪ.ɨlɪzəm/ or /ˈniː.ɨlɪzəm/; from the Latin nihil, nothing) is the philosophical doctrine suggesting the negation of one or more putatively meaningful aspects of life. Most commonly, nihilism is presented in the form of existential nihilism which argues that life is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value.Moral nihilists assert that morality does not inherently exist, and that any established moral values are abstractly contrived. Nihilism can also take epistemological, metaphysical, or ontological forms, meaning respectively that, in some aspect, knowledge is not possible, or that contrary to popular belief, some commonly perceived aspects of reality do not exist.[clarification needed]
The term nihilism is sometimes used in association with anomie to explain the general mood of despair at a perceived pointlessness of existence that one may develop upon realising there are no necessary norms, rules, or laws. Movements such as Futurism and deconstruction, among others, have been identified by commentators as "nihilistic" at various times in various contexts.

Guess I lied today
I'm not gonna be OK
Not like this anyway
The words were sounding wrong
The moment you'd smiled and gone
And now I don't know how to do this anymore
I wonder if you come back home
Tell these ghosts to disappear
I wonder if you're there alone
With these lies you hold so dear
All of your lovers
All of your lovers
Can't take the place I'm in
Maybe I'm just new
To this entire show
Well, now it's really all I know
You told me what you'd do
Every single move
And now it's throwing back walls I can't see through
I wonder if you come back home
Tell these ghosts to disappear
I wonder if you're there alone
Breaking vows you hold so dear
All of your lovers
All of your lovers
Can't take the place I'm in
Where I'm always so close
Yet I'm feeling so cold
All of your lovers
All of your lovers
come into the union district
drive down on sharmon palms
white ghettos paint a picture
broken homes and broken bones
i was so full of scotch i could not stand up
i was hittin the shots and i moved to a cup
release me from moral assumption
total rejection total destruction
nihilistic feelings are moving if i try real hard
i'll see right through them
nihilism!
walkin a path of self destruction
not affected by the repercussions
lady on the billboard offer me a drink
said not right now i need time to think
nihilistic feelins are movin
if you try real hard
you'll see right through them
i was so full of scotch i could not stand up
i was hittin the shots and i moved to a cup
white ghettos paint a picture
A certain end awaits for me
So I'll obey to my dirty needs
I'll keep your dogmas away from me
Fanatic fools open your minds
Your god was dying in emptiness
He was bored and created us
And then I'll laugh...
Deep into our minds
We won't find the truth of our lives
There is only pain inside our minds
My instincts will be satisfied
Don't be afraid to follow your mind
I'll make love with my life
So I will laugh when I will die
And if we try to change ourselves
There will be a revolution on earth
And then we'll laugh...
We can't change our world
If we can't change ourselves
We can't change our world
If we can't please ourselves
I'll make love with my life
So I will laugh when I will die
And if we try to change ourselves
There will be a revolution on earth
Take me back to the parking lot,
I understand that it don’t mean a lot,
We’re fucking awkward and I love it.
And it’s not political,
There’s still three men in a prison cell,
And I’m just doing what I can.
Karma makes for vicious cycles,
And I, I don’t believe in revenge,
My bike was stolen about a week ago.
It makes for a funny feeling,
I try not to own anything worth stealing.
There’s a lesson in there somewhere I know.
Mustached and uniformed bitterness.
A quest at best it’s hit or miss.
Enforced and bred hostilities.
They say it’s not political
To put three men in a prison cell
When they can’t look him in the eye.
If we fall back on what’s the wisdom of the age,
To sit and rot away inside a cage,
It’s the safest call.
All I ask is there anything more outside this frame,
Is there any room for change
To be changed at all?
So we sang “SMASH THE STATE!” for a couple of hours,
Till we got dragged down by the superpowers,
And I don’t know if it’s right, but it’s better than
nihilism.
And then Benjy said “leave me out of that crap,
I put too much in and I got nothing back.”
And I know that he’s right, but what’s left, nihilism?
Take me back to the parking lot,
I understand that it don’t mean a lot,
We’re fucking awkward and I love it.
And it’s not political,
There’s still three men in a prison cell,
And I’m just doing what I can.
It didn’t stop raining for the month of June.
You know I wouldn’t mind being stuck in the rain with
you.
I don’t know if I believe in love, but it’s better than
Hang all the living `till they`re dead
Start a war to end a war in your head
Watch the crimson dawn as blood rains from the sky
Target destroyed, another target destroyed
Cleans the earth with the fires of choronzon
Target destroyed, another target destroyed
Lead: Delahaye
I am the enemy of the grandest kind
Extinction of the human race is on my mind
And what`s the point of digging countless graves
When there`s no-one left to dig these countless graves
On the killing fields the countdown has begun
Target destroyed, another target destroyed
For a nihilist nothing is at least something
Target destroyed, another target destroyed
Melodies: Delahaye
Hang all the living `till they`re dead
Start a war to end a war in your fucking head
Watch the crimson dawn as blood rains from the sky
Target destroyed, target destroyed, another target destroyed
Cleans the earth with the fires of choronzon
I am the enemy of the grandest kind
What`s the point of digging countless graves
When there`s no-one left to dig these countless graves
Lead: Sattler
On the killing fields the countdown has begun
Target destroyed, target destroyed, another target destroyed
For a nihilist nothing is at least something
