STORYLINE:
ASEAN Foreign Ministers began arriving in the Brunei capital Bandar Seri Begawan on Saturday for their annual Ministerial Meeting.
This year's summit between the ten nations is expected to focus on regional territorial disputes.
For one minister the questioning began almost as soon as he had landed in Brunei.
Pollution is also likely to be a contentious issue at the four day summit, with Singapore and Malaysia having chastised neighbouring Indonesia for not controlling fires which sent a haze of air pollution over the region.
The 27-country Association of Southeast Asian Nations Regional Forum will take place on Tuesday following the summit.

STORYLINE:
Emerging economic powerhouse Brazil signed the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC) with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at their meeting in Bali, Indonesia, on Wednesday.
Brazil joins economic giants China and India who have already signed TAC treaties with ASEAN.
Myanmar's desire to be the ASEAN chair in 2014 was also discussed and appeared near to being approved.
As part of its pledge to loosen the junta's hard-line policies, Myanmar's government has taken some fledgling steps such as easing censorship, legalising labour unions, suspending an unpopular China-backed dam project and beginning talks with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi and her pro-democracy movement.
"They wish to recommend to the leaders that, given these developments and expecting their continued momentum, then this has created conditions conducive for Myanmar to chair ASEAN in 2014," Marti Natalegawa, Indonesia's Foreign Minister said.
In 2006 Myanmar was denied the rotating chair after sustained criticism over its human rights record.
Dissent has been suppressed by a military junta that was in power from 1962 until earlier this year.
It transferred control to a nominally civilian government led by a former general which has promised to liberalise politics, but continues to hold about 2,000 political prisoners.
ASEAN is also discussing South China Sea territorial claims after Philippines Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario, signed a declaration aboard the USS Fitzgerald in Manila Bay on Wednesday calling for multilateral talks to resolve disputes.
Six countries in the region have competing claims, but China wants them to negotiate one-to-one - and chafes at any US involvement.
US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said that this week's East Asian Summit in Bali would play host to some frank conversations regarding the maritime challenges in the region and how to address them.
Beijing said on Tuesday it opposed bringing up the issue at the summit.
The 10 ASEAN countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

STORYLINE
Indonesia's environment minister held talks with his Malaysian counterpart in Jakarta on Thursday to discuss the worsening haze problem that has caused soaring air pollution in the region.
The smog in recent days has created the worst air pollution in Singapore's history and led to the Malaysian government declaring a state of emergency in its southern district.
Earlier this week, authorities arrested eight farmers for setting illegal fires on Indonesia's Sumatra island to clear land.
Balthasar Kambuaya, Indonesia's Environmental Minister, said they had identified the companies that were located around where the fires started.
"What we are doing now is deepening our investigation towards these companies to see who really is responsible for the fire. We are identifying further which companies and where they are from," he said after talks with his Malaysian counterpart.
G. Palanivel, Malaysian Environment Minister, said those responsible would be punished.
"We are not accusing Indonesia, or telling Indonesia anything. The most important thing is, if anybody is found guilty, they can be subjected to penalties. They can be imprisoned, anything can happen," he added.
He said that the Malaysian companies operating in Central Sumatra have denied any wrongdoing.
After apologising to people in neighbouring Singapore and Malaysia, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono deployed 3,000 additional personnel to fight the fires that have affected air quality and caused respiratory problems among some people.
He has called for an investigation, but said it appeared the fires were being caused by natural and human factors.

STORYLINE:
Wearing masks and clanking chains, chanting demonstrators thronged the Chinese embassy in Bangkok on Wednesday, to mark the 12th year Myanmar's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has spent in detention.
About 30 protesters called on the Chinese authorities to use their influence with the military leaders in Yangon to bring about her release.
They also demanded the United Nations make Myanmar - also known as Burma - a priority.
It was part of a coordinated day of protest being organised in 12 cities around the world.
"I think actions like this which are taking place across the world can make a difference," the Bangkok protest coordinator, Adam Cooper told AP Television.
Thai police stood by as the group donned paper masks of Suu Kyi's face, and wrapped chains around their wrists to symbolise her captivity.
"Actually, Aung San Suu Kyi is our hero. She is a brave woman. She fought for all the people inside Burma," one protester, Mae Sie Win said.
Suu Kyi's political party, the National League for Democracy, won a landslide victory in a general election in 1990 but the military junta refused to stand aside.
Since 1989 the Nobel Peace prize winner has been in and out of house arrest numerous times.
The latest period of detention began in 2003 and since then she has been allowed few visitors aside from her doctor.
Meanwhile a UN envoy who has called for China to do more to get Myanmar's military junta to stop its crackdown on pro-democracy demonstrators received words of support from Beijing on Wednesday.
Gambari said he was pleased he had visited Beijing as part of his tour.

FULL LENGTH FEATURE FILM Satans New World Order
Peace, peace, peace, the Nuclear Missile Threat, World Government, the Nazis and Joe Biden.
Through FEAR, they hold a gun to our heads demanding if we want PEACE then we have to put an end to our own nationhood and country because of the threat of nuclear war or nuclear annihilation. They tell us resistance is futile and that we must join the NEW world order under control of THEIR government and that's exactly what we're letting them do, DEFEAT us without one shot fired and without even defending ourselves.
Who is behind it? The prince of this world; Satan.
I'm not saying our current governments are GODD. What I AM saying is that the coming world government will be consolidated down into one centralized control mechanism that will make it much easier to literally control the entire world, which is what the antichrist will do and I'm afraid to be perfectly candid with you, that we are already under complete control of world government and that the only thing left of our national governments is an empty husk, simply left for appearance so that you and I will believe everything is still ok.
One of my channel's themes is "Stop Globalization". Can we really stop it? No. The Bible says we can not stop what is coming, but it also says we Christians are the salt of the earth and that we should stand against the wiles of devil. Not just go along with it willingly.
This is a battle. Warn everyone. Show them these facts. Lead them to the Bible, the King James Version.
Stop Globalization. Stand against the wiles of the devil. Put on the whole armor of God. let's not just sit back and say we are defeated before we begin. Don't make it EASY for Satan! Submit to God and don't worry about what the devil is doing.
James 4 verse 7 says,
"Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
That's God's PROMISE to you. Ignore Satan and pay close attention to God and HIS instructions and submit to God, not the devil, and the devil *WILL* flee from you. Not maybe.
God bless you all :)

BBC Documentary 2015 | 21st Century Warship | National Geographic Documentaries 2015
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In early 2013 the vessel took part in the National Geographic TV show "21st Century Warship" along with USS Independence. The show premiered in the UK on the 10th of February 2013.
Freedom left for a 10 month deployment to Singapore in March 2013. On 11 March 2013, Freedom became the first LCS to reach Hawaii.[ On 16 March the ship's diesel engines, which have had years of problems, shut down in mid-ocean, leaving the ship adrift. On April 18, the Freedom arrived at the Changi Naval Base in Singapore, set to participate in joint military exercises.] On 18–19 May, Freedom participated in the Republic of Singapore Navy's Open House 2013 at Changi Naval Base. Visitors to the Open House were allowed to board and visit Freedom. On 21 May, Freedom 's first venture from Singapore harbor was cut short by yet another equipment breakdown,[ followed on 20 July 2013 by yet another breakdown requiring a return to port. The frequent breakdowns found the crew short of the Navy's sleep requirement, even with the maximum possible core crew and help from contractors and the mission module crew. Although billed as a trip for training and international cooperation exercises, Freedom conducted standard patrols while in the South China Sea. Despite suffering several breakdowns, the deployment was deemed a success from a research and development platform standpoint; while deployed for 10 months, the ship had 70 percent availability, on par with most other forward deployed ships in the fleet.
In November 2013, Freedom delivered relief supplies to the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan from 16 nautical miles (30 km) off shore, using her own and another ship's helicopters.
From 25 April-16 May 2014, Freedom conducted the future concept of operations (CONOPS) for manned and unmanned helicopters aboard littoral combat ships. Operations had the manned MH-60R working together with the unmanned MQ-8B Fire Scout. The demonstration included one MH-60R and one MQ-8B flying with the surface warfare (SUW) mission package installed, intended to provide fleet protection against small boats and asymmetric threats.

"In fact, ASEAN is becoming more and more relevant. Look at the expansion in terms of mechanisms. We are going not only to have ASEAN plus three strengthened, but also in the upcoming summit in Cambodia we're going to have ASEAN plus India summit and I believe there are some others who are also expecting to have an ASEAN plus one summit. So that is not a sign of irrelevance."

You have to show the world, you have to show the region that I (ASEAN) have made progress, that I am justified to be here and I'm determined to move forward. "Inter-session groups are very effective in developing confidence-building measures. And I think those confidence-building measures - although they don't make a great story for a newspaper or a television or radio station - but they are important in terms of building understanding between countries in the region on security issues. I think if you didn't have the ASEAN Regional Forum, you'd invent it. I think it's a good institution."

News Summary
1. Hong Kong has marked National Day with mass rallies across the city as tens of thousands of pro-democracy protesters spread across Admiralty, Central, Wanchai, Causeway Bay, Mongkok and Tsim Sha Tsui. They are refusing to end the occupation of key roads across the city, and student protesters are threatening to start besieging government buildings unless Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying steps down tomorrow.
2. National Day ceremonies in Hong Kong began with a flag-raising ceremony in Wanchai - this time with student protesters attending. Members of Scholarism were allowed into Golden Bauhinia Square for the first time, and they kept their protest peaceful.
3. Two pro-democracy politicians embarrassed the Chief Executive by staging their own protests at the National Day reception. But in his speech, Leung Chun-ying insisted that elections under China's tight framework are better than no universal suffrage at all.
4. More than 100,000 people gathered at Tiananmen Square in Beijing early this morning for the flag-raising ceremony on National Day. In an earlier address, President Xi Jinping said Beijing will stick to its promises to Hong Kong.
5. The crisis in Hong Kong is causing international concern. with the US and UK voicing support for the protest movement. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi (王毅) will be discussing the situation with his US counterpart later this evening.
6. With major roads still blocked across Hong Kong, the government has been negotiating with protesters on how to make sure ambulances pass through quickly in emergencies. But it has had only limited success in getting protesters to agree.
7. Beijing has started delaying visas for mainland visitors because of the mass protests in Hong Kong. And shop operators are already complaining that business is taking a hit.
8. A senior expatriate officer has been found dead in North Point police station with two gunshot wounds to his head. Authorities said he had committed suicide and ruled out any link to the pro-democracy protests.
9. Suicide bombers in Afghanistan have killed at least seven people in the capital Kabul. / India and the US have agreed to boost cooperation on maritime security in a move apparently aimed at curbing China's ambitions.
